I've been going to this car show for many years, but my grandkids were in town & wanted to go to the coast, so I missed the Portland Transmission show this year. I appreciate that you recorded some of the cars, so I didn't miss the whole show. Thank you
The Portland Transmission show is one great way to spend the Saturday morning before Mothers' Day -- this wonderful event takes over the area with its central point being 10th and Hawthorne --
Some very interesting cars. My second car (1965) was a '58 Chevrolet Del Rey. Not many have survived until now. Mine was a 348 bored out to 370 c.i. Doubt it could hold a candle to that black one.
That truck was a dodge, btw (sounds like you said International) friend of mine owns it, it’s a nice truck indeed. They’ve got some great cars in their club!
Hi, I was just thinking about hotdogs since you mentioned it everybody loves hotdogs. They’re great especially with the bun and the radish and the ketchup and the mustard and whatever else you like on it onions and tomatoes, etc. etc. etc. American food at its best. That was maybe 40 years ago. Or so, I’m here to tell you personally. The hotdogs ain’t made like they used to be truthfully speaking the worst thing you can eat anymore specially if you like to eat them every day or three times a week everybody’s different but we still digest and react to chemicals as well as food fillers, and this is what happened to our hotdogs as well as some of our other liked foods. It will kill you nowadays.
The Gasser style has been making a comeback since about 2011. With how expensive restoring and Hotrodding a car has become, you can make anything a Gasser on the cheap. The Frisco Chinatown Gassers is a very good example.
Great video, but it's "Portland Transmission Car Show", put on by Portland Transmission Warehouse for the last 40 years. Not a secret at all if you live on the West side of Oregon or Washington.
Well, virtually no one I spoke with knew about it... and I go to Classic Car shows all over the PNW. No website, no online event... I suspect old-timers know about it, but I've been going to shows since 2010, and in 14 years never heard of it.
love your videos... thought you'd (and anybody else) like to know about a small show I discovered last year. The Goldson Grange "Spring Fling show & shine" at the Goldson Grange 23479 Hwy36 Cheshire Oregon 97419.. last year there were 30 or 40 cars (show car to daily drivers) was a fun show... I'm taking my 1969 F250 4x4 (basically stock except for Engine swap) and I'm going to make this a yearly "must go to" show for my cars...

This show was "Off the Timing Chain" Such beautiful iron everywhere you look.
Damn that is the best show I have ever sàw
Such Kool cars 🤗lots of rare ones 😵💫can see Lola & You driving a 1963 Buick Wildcat Convertible/ Red w/ red/white interior! To Viva, or anywhere 😬
If we drive that Buick, we might need a theme song to go with it. Any suggestions?
Looked like great show. Little bit of every thing. Do they have it every year? What day was that on?
It was it's 39th year. It was on May 9th or 10th?
Love that 32 ford made out of wood
Very unique
Some of thoses cars appear to close together to walk between. Levis buttons freak me out. Hahaha
@tombuchmann8248 yeah. Always difficult to get wide shots as well.

Nice. I have been at car shows all over the US annually and rarely see more than one or two out of a thousand at a show. Where are you located?

Ahhh the Mid West. We never make it over there. We have discussed it a few times. Perhaps in 2025.
