Amazing setup. Nice to see someone actually giving this bike a decent twist. A lot of 701 'reviews' are just a bunch of guys putting around on fire trails...
I hope you get this comment. Your the first reviewer of any bike like this that can ride and twist the f'in throttle! Awesome power wheelies! And then I saw your an old guy like me and I was like "hell" yeah us old guys know how to ride!
Hi and Greetings from Bear Mountain in the Great Northern Alps, Japan. Firstly, I LOVE the setup you configured on your 701. Secondly, out of all the videos on the 701 I have watched, yours is hands down the BEST out there bar none! I was unsure about buying a 701 until I watched your video. I think it also helps that you can actually ride. Finally, I concur with your comment at the end! Awesome video! THANK YOU for sharing. Enjoy your 701 BEAST! STAY HARD!
Hi there! I realize this video is three years old, but hoping you might see my comment. May I ask what your total investment is in the bike (assuming it was new at date of video). It's a very nice setup for an adventure bike! Any suggestions on a set of bags on the rear?
Hello ZAP59, thank you for sharing, exciting video! I'm interrested by your set up. Would you mine to share the whole list of customisation you did? ( a list is already available from the description but not exhaustive yet). Thank you and have fun again riding Husquy off road.😃
Thanks for producing this video. I have a 2020 701 Enduro and I'm waiting on my full Rottweiler Performance package to be delivered. I notice your ABS light is on solid. I installed the ABS dongle and mine blinks every 5 sec (which I think is the proper visual reaction). How easy is it for you to flip your TC on and off? My TC is difficult to enable/disable. Holding the TC button down for 5 sec does nothing until maybe after riding the bike 20 yards or so and even then it works sometimes and sometimes not. Again, thanks for the video and I'll be adding some of the mods you've shown. Also, love the " ( Deplorable ) " on the front and the hat at the end!!!!!
I'm assuming the performance package comes with a power commander 5? Which one are they sending you? Because dynojet doesn't have one out for the 2020 yet. I hear you can use the one for 2019 but dj said not to.
Do you think this bike would be best to commute in 50 miles one way or the 701 supermoto havent seen any with long range gas tanks that Garmin is beautiful 👌 thanks
thanks for sharing. Does this bike seem to you to be a mechanically and electrically reliable bike? I heard that it is a very tall motorcycle, that in order for the rider to reach the ground with his feet he must measure 1.85 meters. is that so ?. thanks and best regards!.
Yes, it seems reliable so far. I must tell you that in Ecuador two years ago in heavy rain a 701 quit. Yep dead battery. Bad stator. It could have caused by poor workmanship adding accessories. It pretty tight behind the headlight. You can soften up the front and rear and change the seat to lower the bike..
@@Lowdown13blues yes I'm really glad to have the extra fuel supply. I did see on a Rocky mountain ATV dirt bike video they're 701 had a one-piece fuel tank.
It's the Garmin XT just came out it's for motorcycles and comes with a mount I think three different ways of mounting it to your motorcycle. It works with your gloves on it's got a beautiful screen shows all the back roads topo charts you name it you can see some reviews on RUclips.
Sorry wrong bike okay the 701 I've geared down two teeth on the counter shaft sprocket so there's no way the clutch will wear slipping it up hills or whatnot
Interested in make of side covers, and mount for garmin and phone, skid plate, mirrors, - does the garmin cover up dash completely? Very nice job - did you ever research handguards?
Yes my Garmin does cover up the dash but there's not much to the dash there's nothing I need to see except overall mileage. The handguards were back ordered I just received them so we'll be putting them on I also have grip warmers
@@zap5936 Thanks so much, helping son fix up his new 701, after seeing yours I may buy one as well, more use for this retired guy than a Ducati sport bike, which handguard and grip warmer did you go with. Thanks in advance ZAP
hi, nice bike, which seatconsepts seat do you have on there, and how is it? i am thinking about getting one for myself and cant decide between the regular one and the tall one. (for my 701 SM)
I have the same one on my sm, I just bought it as a 'black gripper top' in the foam and cover package and stapled it to my original seat pan. But you can buy it complete as well. Perfect upgrade so far, the stock one is horrible on the '16.
Oh no you ruined it🥺😭 But if this is your taste just go with it but I just don’t get how you can make a touring bike out of a beautiful 701😣 At lest it’s really original🥴🌝

Love it....balls out, great upgrade and ride review. Best 701E video by far!

Did you install the CAT with your new exhaust? Sounds good and not too loud.
No and I cut two 1-in holes at the beginning of the baffling where the pipe plugs into the header

Nice property to die for! That front lawn I'd fly RC planes all day!

Is the tank for a different bike?. I'm not seeing it on the website for a 701.

thinkin' of trading my 1090r for one , yeah that Rottweiler stuff is spendy but wow it works , was worth it for the 1090
Very nice modification May I ask you what make for you fuel tank on your bike Where did you buy it Can you send me the link please
IMS bought from Rottweiler
Good one, thanks!
buying the 701 next week.
After watching this vid I want a 701 asap !!
What years can you install the IMS tank to ?
Thank you
I was told they stop making it

You have a very nice looking and fast 701. Have you considered the clutch slave cylinder upgrade? Mine died one ride and I upgraded to the Oberon.
WWG1WGA!
I have the Oberon in stock but I have not changed it yet.
Lets go ridin! How far from Londonderry nh are you?
Out behind Market Basket on 102. Lol.
IMS gas tanks - were you have them from - I could not find it on their web site
Rottweiler performance has them in California
How big improvment gain was the steering damper? Thinking of it myself :)
I started off turning it way down then slowly increasing the damping force. Vibs are way down
