@@MrJjlop My son is a CZ fan. In 25 years of Law Enforcement I do not recall a fellow officer using a CZ. I worked in Minneapolis MN and the PD Armorer was a life long friend. He recommended Smith and Wesson, so that is what I used. I recently acquired a Sig 365 XL and it will replace my M&P Shield 380 EZ as my EDC. CZ is a good pistol.
Thanks for doing the comparison. When I held the HELLCAT my first thought was Shield with higher capacity. When it comes down to it everybody has their own subtle preferences. I agree that other major companies will all eventually follow suit.
Prefer the trigger and sights of the Hellcat , besides it's dependable just completed a 10,000 round test . The gun preformed beautifully and still going strong .
I just bought a hellcat. The flat piece for the 11 round mag is In the box. Lift up the box where is says accessories. It's under there along with the trigger lock.
I own both, I have the shield 2.0 performance center 9mm. It fits in my hand better and shoots great, however you can’t argue with the capacity of the hellcat.
I've never shot any handguns as well as I have some of the Springfield handguns. In my experience, they've always been a little more user friendly than other handguns which has translated into greater accuracy and more fun.
I had the first version of the Shield it was my carry for the longest time. I just purchased the Hellcat 10/2021 it’s my new carry, I actually shoot real well with the stock sights, was thinking about installing a red dot but I don’t think so. Plus I don’t have to worry about carrying a spare mag the way I did with the Shield.
I never really considered a Shield until about a week ago I saw one for sale. I got the Shield, 5 mags (Four 8 rounders and one 7 round), a range bag and a first aid kit for $499. I just couldn't pass it up. I've always been a revolver guy and carry a snub nose .38 (S&W 637) but I'm excited to put the Shield in as part of a rotation if for whatever reason I feel like I want more than 5 shots at my disposal. Due to ammo shortages I refuse to go out and plink around but I ran 80 rounds through my Shield the day I picked it up which is what I would consider the absolute bare minimum testing before carrying a firearm and I liked how it fit my hand and was very impressed with how accurately I was able to shoot it even though it was hitting very notably to the left (which is exactly why I refuse to carry anything before I fire it).
Like the video but I love the shield!. I had mine since 2015 and it runs like a champ! I bought a 12 round clear magazine from ETS but I tricked the whole Gun out with HYVE technology.. I think the Sig l looks a lot better but owning an XD subcompact since 09 with no issues I’m confident that the Springfield will be more reliable.. I’m not interested in either but I just love watching these kind of videos 👍
I left California after being born there and living there for over 40 years for this reason a few years ago. I will never again live in a state that does not allow me to conceal carry or restricts magazine capacity ever again.
The Hellcat does come with the pinky extension nameplate installed from the factory. I have both the Sig and the Springfield. I find myself carrying the Springfield more simply because the grip feels a touch better in my hand. I also have the S&W Shield 2.0 and I love it too. I also have a Ruger LC9s Pro. I carry all four in rotation and am about as accurate with all of them. If the Shield had more capacity, it would be the only one...maybe. There is just something about the feel of the Shield. One thing I do like better about the Hellcat is the shape of the striker tip. It looks like it may be a little more durable than the striker tip on the Sig. The Hellcat also does not have the striker drag that is present in the Sig. Sorry to ramble on a bit here, just had a lot to say. Good video, keep them coming.
Being able to shoot the gun before you buy it saves you from any let down you have if you don’t shoot it well. My range usually has the new stuff to try. The standard P365 is one that I don’t shoot well, but the 365XL I shoot great ! ... just a minute difference in size and it’s a winner!! ...... if possible try before you buy..... you won’t take as much of a loss if you have to sell . 😃
I agree with your comment about the P365. I went to a local gun store to check it out and the pressure on my middle finger from the trigger guard was super weird and very noticeable. And overall it just didn't feel right. The Hellcat, however, felt really nice in my hand. I'll be picking one up next month.
@@mnrodriguez I'm sure it's just a preference thing with me. Maybe if I Drimeled the undercut then there wouldn't be that pressure on the middle finger. In the grand scheme of things it's probably not a big deal. It's (P365) a nice looking gun though!
@@libradoalonzo4873, I have small hands. I think it is very convenient for this pistol. However, I saw Hickok45 shooting it like a breeze. I hope you get used to it. It's a very accurate pistol for its size. The shield is very accurate, too. I've never tried the Hellcat.
Great video. I guess the Hellcat in my book is a underbaked cake... rear sights... no safety(which a lot of people can argue). I wasn't impressed with the P365 and Sig's philosophy of using customers as Ginny pigs to work out kinks. Mr Smith and Mr Wesson's Shield is a proven workhorse.
I have a hellcat also. The thing i like the most is they did away with all the bs safteys. U will like it when shoot it. But my 365 sig and my shields do good also. I have a collection video under center mass 2019 gun collection.
1/10th of an inch length difference. Shield 6.1" / Hellcat 6.0". I broke down and purchased the P365 and sold it then the Hellcat and sold it. Purchased another M&P Shield Performance Center version for a $125.00 less than either of the other two.
Love my 2 sprinfields. Both early xds small acurate and. My baby sister loved it so well with nite sites and said please sell me ur gun lol as she used 2 say glock. 19 lol she said no more flock 4 her. Got new xd9. It's 2 Glocky 4 me. But shoots well looking at hellcat and xl9 365 see what happen only opinion and mainly dependability and if u can shoot accurately 4 YOU!
The Hellcat first caught my eye, because of the model that's pre-configured for an accessory optic, but then I decided against it. In the end, the rear sights on the P365 won me over vs. the "U" on the Hellcat. I was never a fan of the flat grip on the Shield, preferring that of the M&P compact model.
Shield gets my vote all day. It's proven...both mine run 100% & I'm very comfortable with em. Does that offset the capacity of the Hellcat.? No..because if you/I were ever in a gunfight, it's gonna be over in 3-5 shots. yeah, the possibility of it being worse, but not very likely. I carry a spare mag.
They will all kill if that is your intention. It’s what I tell customers at the shop every day. Your target won’t care what manufacturer fired that 9mm bullet into it. You won’t care at the moment you need it what brand is in your hand...even a hi point.
Sounds to me like you care more about making sales than educating customers and helping them choose the best gun. Different guns fit different people differently. Reliability is also a very large factor. The last thing you want is a gun that goes click or a gun that you can't shoot accurately. Sure, I'd pay a small fortune for a Hipoint if it was literally the only gun I could get but if I have options, I want the absolute best gun I can possibly get to defend myself.
Springfield armory any day the hell 🐱 is the choice over the mp Springfield armory makes a 👍 🚛 🚘 🔫 i happen to own a xdm 9mm and Sig Sauer makes a 👍 🚛 🚘 🔫 also!
I've been researching the Hellcat and 365. Both pistols fill a notch for CCW crowd. The Hellcat is a high capacity pistol (11/13 + 1) where the 365 is 10+1. FBI statistics reveal that the great majority, of pistol use for personal protection, 3 rounds or less are fired. I am a fan of American made products. Like mirage, I like the M&P line. I carry 3 magazines with my EZ, 9c, M2.0 and Bodyguard. My favorite is the EZ and then the 9c.
I EDC the 2.0. It's not exactly stock now! I have apex trigger and Holsun 507C and before the RDS I had TruGlow TFX Pros. I also have an inforce APL WML and now I'm trying to find an IWB holster for it.
Hellcat great Innovation? No. Word for word they said what SIG said. "We built the gun around the magazine". Reminds me of all the iPhone vs Android Fanboys. Shield 6.1" Height 4.5" flush mag 5" extended Hellcat 6.0" Height 4.0" flush mag 4.5" extended. .5" Yeah BIG difference. 🤣
Springfield has some ugly guns which is why I was never interested in them. I will definitely be looking at this in the future as a deep carry conceal or a backup gun. I cant believe how small this gun is and its ammo capacity and I'm not a fan of small guns.
Can't beat that little package with that amount of firepower
Excellent video and content. I'm 74 and have owned over 40 pistols in the last 60 years. The ones I stick with are S&W M&P line.
I'd like to introduce you to the CZ USA line in case you haven't owned one. Quality pistols.

There's no other video that compares the Hellcat (with 13rd mag!) to the Shield (with 8rd mag!). Always flush mags. This was great info!
