This dazzling chess set "The Sher-E-Punjab Series" in Staunton pattern, is made up of ebony wood and boxwood. The King proudly stands at 4.6 inches and its base is robust at 1.9 inches.
The dark chess pieces are made of ebony wood. It would be difficult to find a more sumptuous wood than ebony wood for the dark side chess pieces. The texture of the ebony wood is fine and a true pleasure to hold. The deep luster and total blackness of the ebony wood are exceptional.

everything is perfect other than the king why put a spike on top, when playing under time pressure that will defenitly cause some problems could have gone for traditional cross design

Dear Chessbazaar officials, if you read this... can you carve the cut in the Bishops' mitre (slightly curved inside instead of straight square) so that they look still more elegant? It shall definitely complement the entire set. And yes, the Knights are awesome.👍
