Something funny I would like to share about the Egyptian Fruit Bat's southern cousin, the Epaeletted Fruit Bat. At Lower Sabie Rest Camp in the Kruger National Park, they have a bat box between the parking lot and reception, but the bats don't use it. They prefer to use the thatch roof overhang outside reception 😂

I love this zoo, it gives me a lot of inspiration. I would have never thought of making a house for nocturnal animals. :) Btw, mushrooms aren’t plants, fungi and plants are two separate taxonomic kingdoms
Excellent! I love the walk-through exhibits. That might not be the case if Frontier didn't include the option for null walls. But since they did, the creative options are nearly endless. How about a jungle boat ride through sloth exhibit or a gentle flowing canal ride through a serene butterfly garden? So many possibilities to combine habitats with the walk-through exhibits and even with the various ride options.
I can't wait to get the kiwis. When I was in New Zealand I was lucky enough to go on a night time trail and find them in the wild. They were white with black spots and so so adorable. In Auckland Zoo their enclosure was a long rectangle where they could run fast up and down it. The common brown kiwi are pretty big in real life, bigger than a football. Looking forward to kiwi and pangolins the most so seeing this vid got me hyped!
The amount of work that went into this video is insane and very impressive. However, please don't feel like it is necessary for our end. We'd rather have two parts than have you burn out and stop enjoying the process. Not every episode has to be grander than the last.

I've grown up in the bush and always been around them (I'm also a vet and worked with them a lot.) I adore them so much! I love that you made a proper nocternal house for them. It's a bit strange seeing people make normal habs for them in PZ sometimes XD

Fun fact! I think you can change the time of the zoo in the entrance gates. This lets you semi-edit what time it may be, so you could put 8 PM to 6 AM if you’d like. Me, I have it skip nighttime.

Hi ZSH ! I know this is a late comment but I would still like to recommend you to link up to projection screens if you have set up some animal burrows. It should be fun seeing animals sleeping underground through the screen. :) I really enjoy your effort on the zoo. All the best mate !
Thanks, I used to get the burrow cam bug so never used them but now I've upgraded to Nvidia it doesn't happen anymore so I think I will add some in here when I finish up the zoo

This is absolutely amazing!!!! I love they way you included a walk through exhibit with the habitats! I’m currently working on how to do the routing for guests where a sloth exhibit is inside of a capuchin habitat & this definitely gave me some ideas!! One question for you though, what are the new specs for your computer? I’ve been looking at graphics cards that will run the game with a decent sized zoo and I’m not sure what to pick.
a tip for thought: if you want a smoother recording when doing the tours, get a capture card and hook it up to your old pc. that way your old pc is strictly for recording and can be done at +1080p60fps and your other pc won't be trying to run a very demanding game and recording
I feel like the Tasmanian Devil would fit better here than in Australia. Also I some future animals that could also be here are the binturong, coati, ocelot and echidna

Probably but I don’t run the franchise zoo at night so I’d have to change the opening times and then fast forward to night and then not hit play till I was finished so decided to go the sandbox route

if you ever add the giant burrowing cockroach a big fake tree could be a good idea as cockroach exibits have something to do with wood
I considered them actually but apparently they are not nocturnal. Although I guess when you're underground it doesn't really matter

You can really tell the difference between the frame rate and overall quality compared to previous episodes, the PC upgrade is definitely noticeable

I feel like big-budget American zoos wouldn't have Racoons as they're just trash pandas there. In England we love them as we don't have them here!
