Some items are too small for markers. You normally more then you think. Taping the item works sometime. But for this you want to the correct specs. Where adding tape would add extra thickness to the scan

White paper balled up works great for features as well. Cheap and fast.
Why not use tape or tracking dots on the object?

Hi, in the video i use scanning spray. You can see thay in some situations it is not enough. You need trackable features
