btw Waves admit my point that it was a mistake in the Doubler 2: Waves' newer plugin M360Manager and they set up 30 degrees properly there and even say in the manual "Speaker angles calibration is required for setting internal rotation and width algorithms to perform precisely per the default ±30° for L and R speakers". So Waves admit my point: assets.wavescdn.com/pdf/plugins/m360-surround.pdf
Thank you very much Andrew! That is really great video about those plugin makers (liars) ! The instruction is very simple for them: when they dont know what to sale - just make a random plugin with a legendary name, slightly change the parametrs and try to sale it under the legendary name! This channel only tells the truth about sound engineering!
comment this video if you have at least some respect for the effort. It took me 20 years to get to the level of understanding all these things. It's not one of of those standard videos where a guy says "Oh, it's so good, it's so good" while not providing any real details about the plugins. It's in depth analysis.

This is literally the best plugin review I've ever seen on RUclips. Protect this man at all costs. The truth he's bringing to the masses is groundbreaking. Manufacturers beware.
i am gonna start a Plugin Company called " Baron von Münchhausen" 100 % made in Germany like Grundig Telefunken Klein & Hummel EMT and my first plugin will be "the Emperors new Clothes" with 101% Analogue Accuracy price will be only 2999$ and on Black Friday sales its -90%
Refreshing to see a RUclips video with substance and not fluff. I do get tired of words like “amazing” and “horrible”, and pure opinion-based information. Thanks, this is informative!
Hello one more time. As you know, working with sound can be quite dangerous to hearing, especially the equalisation, working with equalisers for, say, one hour. The so-called listening fatigue, etc. As a professional sound engineer, what do you do to eliminate the possibility of hearing damage? What are your day-to-day steps and rules that you follow to protect the ears?
Having a long attack on an 1176 emulation is totally crazy to me. I'm convinced half of these "vintage emulations" are just old plugins repackaged with a new interface every couple of years. "Hey we'll make it look like a Fairchild and sell millions!"
even more than that. they can create a series of plugins at the same year with the same harmonics and stuff but changing curves and look a bit. 5 years latter another bunch of plugins which will have their own similarities
Please do a break down in Daws so we can end the Daw quality difference debate.. People say its all in the hard ware but i like to say otherwise Protools for some reason sounds different than Logic
The audio core, the way realtime VS offline sound like, how each DAW handles the automatic delay compensation - all these may contribute to the sound of the bounce (audio mixdown). I can bust any myth on it with one simple measuring.
This level of understanding is so rare in the audio production world. There’s clearly a great deal of confusion between the engineering of these plugins and the hype that their marketing departments feel compelled to spin to the public. Thanks for another great video Andrew and for your quest to keep the audio world honest 🙏
If you people could actually understand the dark side of all these emulations, it would be clear that what these so-called companies aren't actually doing mistakes. Rather it's a deliberate doing of what is blunder. It's not that they aren't aware of. But, just to make us spend our hard earned money on these useless emulations. Very few people have the eye and knowledge to see beyond these plugin gimmicks. Props to Andrew for such illumating content.
Acustica are famous for not being able to emulate fast compressors, but they can do long compressors. What would be great is to see if the SHMod can get the attack down to the correct times.
Haha, cool video, man) Yes, almost everything is about marketing in this world. By the way, I’ve also had a countless times, when I found some mistakes in plugins, don’t remember them now, maybe I should make a list for the future. Well, speaking about categories, we can see: - unmatched parameters(gear vs plugin) - saturation on plugins even nowadays still does not sound, like in a real gear, even on UAD Unison(but companies like to put noodles on your ears, speaking about how cool their plugins are. No they don’t) - A slight volume increase in the every preset, and of course, in default one - oh my, it’s probably the biggest trick to get money from beginners))) Well, speaking about result you tend to get, having a knowledge - you can get it almost on anything(having a knowledge), but it’s another story. One thing I found so far - saturation should be done during tracking in analog domain, that’s why I still buy preamps for studio. My pink dream is of course a total OTB setup, or at least some hybrid, with a 12-15k$ master chain, but not for now, there are no clients, ready to pay extra for this kind of investment, and of course - war.. By the way, привіт зі Львову, земляче ;)
First thing I did when I demoed it was to turn the knee all the way to the right. But I actually think it sounded closer to my hw with the knee setting at default.
Great myth busting or should I say great marketing debunking… always great to hear your engineering take on these marketing ‘mistakes’ 🤣 As a former student AZ is right on with his teaching and course materials…. If you haven’t taken his free class.. do so… you won’t regret it for a moment with getting his real insights. Thanks AZ!!
What a great video! Learned a lot! You made it so detailed and it's unbelievable how companies are taking advantage of uninformed sound engineers. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
Great video man. Thank you so much. Let's see some more of this kind. Let's get out the truth on the BS ! It would be great if you could also tell us what plugins you use and why you think they're the best at what they do (like SSL bus comp style, 1176 style etc..) You're a legend man!!!
So interesting. That's the world filled all this marketing things. I absolutely agree with you. Companies should provide us a real info about their products. I think the last UA did that big sale because of their financial situation.
Fantastic video! Thanks for this! I recently bought the Bus Processor (on sale luckily) and I was also confused about the hard knee setting, and would usually change it. Will definitely be paying even more attention to it now (knee is something I sometimes forget). Luckily it does sound pretty good for what it is, but yeah the marketing is kinda BS
Thanks for all the knowledge you share in your videos. Pardon my ignorance but I’m not understanding your explanation about the Waves Doubler. If the direction is 45 degrees, and the delays are different on both sides. How does that change the angle from 45 to 30 degrees? In theory, the audio is going to get thrown from a 45 degree angle but just at different times based on your delay settings. Side note, I recently found an issue between the UAD native and Apollo version of the Avalon channel strip and reported it to them. Basically, their manual says the SC link only works in stereo. When I loaded the UAD-2 version of the plugin in mono, the light is on by default. When I load the native version, the light cannot be turned on. I just took an update yesterday so I haven’t checked to see if they fixed this yet but I reported this almost a month ago.
This was really very interesting, thank you very much. It makes me think more about checking information with manuals and all before buying something because of marketing.
You didn't understand the point. Manuals are exactly this marketing. I don't get this information from the manuals. I got this from my experience and measurements.
I am Sold. your content is super dope. Much love from South Africa. I ll consider your course as soon as i get my work Leave. for the fact of that you we run the same tools
Yes. In the real one. Not in the plugin I meant in the video. As I said in the video SSL confirmed the plugin is wrong. Watch the video one more time. Softube tried to escaped from my request by saying "We didn't try to emulate SSL".
thanks for calling these companies out AZ. the least they could do is match settings and responses of their 'emulations' to the originals lol. why bothering spending hours sampling them and then change the parameters from the original units so they will never function as intended! madness.
You are a good teacher and plugin reviewer big ups. Btw what do you think of the God particle and people saying u gotta mix in to it to get the best results i'm really curious what you could uncover abt the plugin much love
@@AndrewZeleno1 i have seen that plugin used by " top tear" engineers specially the chart topping hiphop mixing engineers always have it on thier mix bus or master buss and they say it glues and gives saturation in the best way. Would love to see your take on if its not too much to ask of u
I've seen a video recently Why modern Hip Hop sounds sounds so bad by some of the most known RUclipsr. So being on Top chart doesn't mean to much from this point of view :)
The companies will always downright deny it when the 'name of the particular model' is mentioned in a question. Cus that's how they can get sued. But yeah, that loophole basically gives them a right to do those shady a** marketing gimmicks. Too bad newcomers always fall for that.
Absolutely. But here's the funny fact. 3 guys claims that the Equilateral triangle has 90 degrees on the bottom angle in this comment section. I'm tired of stupid people to be honest. ruclips.net/user/redirect?event=comments&redir_token=QUFFLUhqa1pKOU5fWjg1bkk4MHVEVkUzUDJwNjItNlFlZ3xBQ3Jtc0tta0drV19DWmZNNTdvaHFKcWRXenVtUXNOdUVZTDYwb1FiZ19RNmc4MUlxc1RoTndaOFBoZ1VhQzc1UTNEQzJwdWtYV3dvcUJXS0RNdk9CSUFWS1VpcnpYWkMwVGVRNVg1SjlNc05YQVc0b0puVDNVbw&q=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2Fsearch%3Fq%3Dequaletarial%26rlz%3D1C1ONGR_enCA994CA994%26oq%3Dequaletarial%26gs_lcrp%3DEgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOTIKCAEQABiABBiiBDIKCAIQABiABBiiBDIKCAMQABiABBiiBDIKCAQQABiABBiiBNIBBzY4N2owajeoAgCwAgA%26sourceid%3Dchrome%26ie%3DUTF-8&stzid=UgyuhAPbqSBMyYdry5F4AaABAg.A-HtCina8l_A-I3lXp2wRf Waves drew a wrong picture. If you check any maths book you can find out that Equilateral triangle is 180 degrees. 60 per angle. 60/2 = 30. 97% likes on this video. 97% knows maths.
Waves admit my point that it was a mistake in the Double 2: Waves' newer plugin M360Manager and they set up 30 degrees properly there and even say in the manual "Speaker angles calibration is required for setting internal rotation and width algorithms to perform precisely per the default ±30° for L and R speakers". So Waves admit my point: assets.wavescdn.com/pdf/plugins/m360-surround.pdf
Hey, Andrew, in your opinion, do bounces made with different audio drivers (Full Duplex, asio4all, RME driver) sound different? To me, they sound different, especially the difference is pronounced between the audio interface and standard laptop drivers.
About TRIANGLE: Open this comment with "read more" and find three links and even Waves themselves admiting I'm right: 1) Waves' newer plugin M360Manager and they set up 30 degrees properly there and even say in the manual "Speaker angles calibration is required for setting internal rotation and width algorithms to perform precisely per the default ±30° for L and R speakers". So Waves admit my point: assets.wavescdn.com/pdf/plugins/m360-surround.pdf 2) Here's some extra explanation and two pictures: Every total beginner knows that the monitors should stay in an Equilateral triangle. Waves drew a wrong picture. They created longer horizonal line than other two side of the triangle. If you check any maths book you can find out that an Equilateral triangle is 180 degrees. 60 per angle. 60/2 = 30. 97% likes on this video. 97% knows maths. In Dolby Surround systems or stereo systems engineers always use a circle and with 2 radiuses and equal distance on each side of the trianlge you will get a perfect Equilateral triangle. Waves simply drew the tringle incorrectly making it not Equilateral. So the horizonal line is longer and based on their WRONG picture the angle is 90/2=45 while all other plugins/systems, monitor manufacturers do it right: with Equilateral triangle and 30 degrees to the left from the bottom corner. Look at the Picture: www.cnet.com/a/img/resize/d5f2e77ad142559c12beeac143308f1947c3080d/hub/2011/11/09/25e6da56-cbf2-11e2-9a4a-0291187b029a/speakers-main.jpg?auto=webp&width=1200 arqen.com/wp-content/gallery/room-setup-speaker-placement/studio-monitor-placement-stereo-620x523.jpg
It's a shame that these companies can't make a faithful replication of the orininal hardware due to licensing.. Obviously they are either all tier 1 hahaha or trying to ride the wave of succes for free. regardless, one should always read a manual before buying a plugin, like food, don't let your eyes be bigger that the stomach ;) Beside these errors, I do like Wave the most out of all companies, i have really learned to work with their plugins and would not ever want a different company to provide my plugins. Ofcourse I also own plugins from some other companies, which are industry standards.
Please make a video about, MUDDY BOOMY I keep hearing people these other people who are very bad at teaching and bad at explaining. They talk about muddy mix etc. make a video. What is muddy? how to fix a muddy mix or muddiness in a single element in a song, these is one of those things no one can explain really well, is it when a sound is deep and sustain? Resonance is clear, a sharp sound that sounds harsh and usually sound louder even that the adjacent frequencies, usually a high pitch sound, flute like sound, or like a whistle; you see how well I explained. but these people would use complex words to explain something complex or maybe people make it complex. Some you make sound with your mouth to demonstrate what you trying to convey, when I saw you did that I knew this is a perfect teacher, other would be shamed to make sound with their like oommph, or tsss etc they will use long statement to describe they can just phonate with their mouth. I know you understand we really really appreciate you, you might not know how rubbish teaching is out there. I teach music too is very different from mainstream approach and 80 simpler. Please dont want to comment too long I know you are a busy person. Make your next video clarifying MUDDY and do everything to make it crystal clear, because not a video exist, yes try to explain but you still cant perform anything to see or recognise. If something is not well viewed or described how you can recognise when when you see it you wont know. Thanks thanks we need this video next
I'm confused by your critique of the Volt 276. It shows right there on your screen that there is a FAST mode on the compressor that gives 30 micros attach and 35ms release. This seems pretty 1176 to me, at least for this setting. Th VOX setting looks a lot like the parameters for an LA2A, so I'm not sure what's up with the critique really. Does it have an exact 1176? Nope. But I don't think that's what they shooting for with the three settings. Please clarify.
I was talking about nonsense presets for Vox and GTR. Not for Fast preset. LA2A has nothing to do with 1176 because it has 10ms attack and two stages of opposite logariphmic curve VS exponential curve. Conclustion: Vox and GTR settings doesn't give you 1176 beheviour. I clearly explained everything in the video. Hers's the bonus for you: 1176 has a tone, this tone comes from a large transformer the size of which is even bigger than Volt itself probably. Volt 76 is much dirtier with more compression. It was commonly known on the month when it was released. Also, how do you know if the release curve bend is the same if you don't know that LA2A is completely different type in comparison to 1176? Seems like you think the difference between 1176 and LA2A is just settings. Also, 6:1 is not 4:1 and it's not 8:1. Also do we really know if it's the same width of the soft knee? Did you measure it somehow? Also do you see I have a real Universal Audio 1176, another 1176 and a real LA2A behind me? I compared them side by side with Volt. Also I have like 10-15 1176 plugins and 10-15 LA2A plugins from different manufacturers. If you know anybody in the world who can know those things and especially have ears to notice those ears is me. And of course nobody spend years, nights, days, and the whole life on those tests like me. Because I'm a psycho.
Plugin 1 looks like a protractor. On left edge you have 0 degrees and going all the way round to the left you get 180. Divide that into 4 equal parts you get 45 degrees
Every total beginner knows that the monitors should stay in an Equilateral triangle. Look at two pictures: www.cnet.com/a/img/resize/d5f2e77ad142559c12beeac143308f1947c3080d/hub/2011/11/09/25e6da56-cbf2-11e2-9a4a-0291187b029a/speakers-main.jpg?auto=webp&width=1200 arqen.com/wp-content/gallery/room-setup-speaker-placement/studio-monitor-placement-stereo-620x523.jpg Waves drew a wrong picture. Yes you are right about the triangle. But the triangle is on top of a semi circle which makes from 180 degrees from one end to the other. The 2 sides of the triangle and middle line cut the semi-circle into 4 equal parts making them 45 degrees each.
I'm gonna reply one last time :) Every total beginner knows YOU ALWAYS put the sources of the sound/monitors in an Equilateral triangle. What Waves drew on the plugin is BS and it never should look like this on a plugin. Just because of it looks like 90 degrees on the bottom doesn't mean it should be like this. This is a visual mistake and the values on the plugin should be 30 and 30 and the triangle is ALWAYS an Equilateral triangle. Not the one which they drew on the plugin with the longer horizontal side of the triangle.
Just letting you know I’m not trying to be a smart ass or anything like that. I enjoyed the video, liked it etc usual youtube stuff. I was just saying where the programmers logic must have come from when getting those numbers. Started with a wrong picture, the rest was history. Or maybe that’s how they have their monitors set up at waves 😂😂🤷🏻♂️
It's about mistakes. 45 degrees instead of 30. Hard knee compressor instead of soft knee. Long attack on 1176 instead of proper shork attack. Watch the video before commenting,
You are funny. The triangle should be equilateral. It's the most fundamental audio production known fact. In equilateral triangle each angle is 60. 60/2 = 30. Not 45. Waves just draw the wrong picture on their plugin which is not an equilateral triangle. Watch the video properly.
Check these two links for the pictures. Every beginner knows how to place monitors/sides of panorama: www.cnet.com/a/img/resize/d5f2e77ad142559c12beeac143308f1947c3080d/hub/2011/11/09/25e6da56-cbf2-11e2-9a4a-0291187b029a/speakers-main.jpg?auto=webp&width=1200 arqen.com/wp-content/gallery/room-setup-speaker-placement/studio-monitor-placement-stereo-620x523.jpg

Haha please check your triangle. You are completely off the mark here. Even in your rough drawing you can see that the total lower angle is roughly 90 degrees.
You are funny. Every total beginner knows that the monitors should stay in Equilateral triangle. Google it: www.google.com/search?q=equaletarial&rlz=1C1ONGR_enCA994CA994&oq=equaletarial&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOTIKCAEQABiABBiiBDIKCAIQABiABBiiBDIKCAMQABiABBiiBDIKCAQQABiABBiiBNIBBzY4N2owajeoAgCwAgA&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 Waves drew a wrong picture. If you check any maths book you can find out that Equilateral triangle is 180 degrees. 60 per angle. 60/2 = 30. 97% likes on this video. 97% knows maths. You are in 3%. Congrats.
Go back to school. I'm sure if I draw a picture that if you rotate the wheel to the left and your vehicle goes to the right you would believe in it. Here's the problem nowadays. People like you judge by the pictures and votes for Bidens and Putins. When I become the president I will band people like you from voting.
No man. It's the fundamental principle how monitors are set. It's always should be an Equilateral triangle. This is why it's a mistake. It will affect the panning, stereo field and even monitoring setup.
I mean when Dolby Surround systems or stere systems are created, they always use a circle and with 2 radiuses and equal distance on each side of the trianlge you will get a perfect Equilateral triangle. Waves simply drew the tringle incorrectly making it not Equilateral. I'm the first guy to hate Waves for the trash they make, but oh boy... seeing what you make of the Doubler in the first minutes... It's 90° in the picture, the middle is 45. Nobody (but you) is saying nor implying a perfect triangle there, jesus... And still on the same story about Kirchhoff and the curves... :D still not understanding the strengths of that EQ is not in those redundant few curves that literally nobody uses nor would use (because if anyone wants to use a pultec eq curve, they will use pultec hw or sw emu)... :D But by all means, feel free to attack them for the least important thing in that plugin. There are things that could be improved on Kirchhoff for sure and I reported some of them to the devs myself, but this is just embarassing from your side. :) I'm turning this clickbait nonsense off and blame RUclips for recommending this to me. Don't forget to roast my comment please so your fanbase can have some satisfaction too. Thanks. :)))
The triangle should be equilateral. It's the most fundamental audio production known fact. In equilateral triangle each angle is 60. 60/2 = 30. Not 45. Waves just draw the wrong picture on their plugin which is not an equilateral triangle.

Easy for you to say if you’re an experienced audio engineer. But as a beginner I have often fallen foul to plugin sales hype so can’t help but feel it’s important to expose and educate. I learned a lot by watching this video about things I never even would have thought about before. So if plugin manufacturers don’t reflect or respect basic engineering “rules” (even in their graphic interfaces) then many beginners, like me, are likely to set up their own equipment incorrectly, not knowing any different, until someone like Andrew points out their mistake. How else are we to learn?

even more than that. they can create a series of plugins at the same year with the same harmonics and stuff but changing curves and look a bit.
Andrew is the smartest guy in the audio industry
Thank you Vadim! Glad to see you here!
This level of understanding is so rare in the audio production world. There’s clearly a great deal of confusion between the engineering of these plugins and the hype that their marketing departments feel compelled to spin to the public. Thanks for another great video Andrew and for your quest to keep the audio world honest 🙏
Thank you!
I bought the Softube Bus comp, because it WASN’T a direct copy of the SSL. I don’t need more of those.
Thanks man!
Acustica are famous for not being able to emulate fast compressors, but they can do long compressors. What would be great is to see if the SHMod can get the attack down to the correct times.
I wish more people would expose bs like this, some of these products are borderline scam. You're doing god's work Andrew.
more people cannot do it. For this you need to have experience and analytic skills
Haha, cool video, man) Yes, almost everything is about marketing in this world. By the way, I’ve also had a countless times, when I found some mistakes in plugins, don’t remember them now, maybe I should make a list for the future. Well, speaking about categories, we can see:
- unmatched parameters(gear vs plugin)
- saturation on plugins even nowadays still does not sound, like in a real gear, even on UAD Unison(but companies like to put noodles on your ears, speaking about how cool their plugins are. No they don’t)
- A slight volume increase in the every preset, and of course, in default one - oh my, it’s probably the biggest trick to get money from beginners)))
Well, speaking about result you tend to get, having a knowledge - you can get it almost on anything(having a knowledge), but it’s another story.
Привiт! Добре бачити тебе на вiдео.
First thing I did when I demoed it was to turn the knee all the way to the right. But I actually think it sounded closer to my hw with the knee setting at default.
"It's not an SSL compressor..." (the lawyer pointing a gun on his back nods lightly)
haha. Or Biden in front of Iran's crazies with AK47s on his knees goes like "It's not an SSL compressor, It's not an SSL compressor"
its..its...LSS compressor...to..totally different
Actually I really like this Bus Processor from Softube but I set Knee around 9 or 10 usually haha. Nice video Andrew!
Thanks!
Great myth busting or should I say great marketing debunking… always great to hear your engineering take on these marketing ‘mistakes’ 🤣
As a former student AZ is right on with his teaching and course materials…. If you haven’t taken his free class.. do so… you won’t regret it for a moment with getting his real insights. Thanks AZ!!
Hi Eugene! Very nice to hear from you!
What a great video! Learned a lot! You made it so detailed and it's unbelievable how companies are taking advantage of uninformed sound engineers. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
Glad it was helpful for you!
Great video man. Thank you so much. Let's see some more of this kind. Let's get out the truth on the BS !
It would be great if you could also tell us what plugins you use and why you think they're the best at what they do (like SSL bus comp style, 1176 style etc..)
You're a legend man!!!
absolutely, thanks
@@AndrewZeleno1 thank you Andrew 🙏😊
So interesting. That's the world filled all this marketing things. I absolutely agree with you. Companies should provide us a real info about their products. I think the last UA did that big sale because of their financial situation.
hi Maks. nice to hear from a former student. interesting
Andrew, I have a request. A video about using the combinations of reverbs and /or delays in the mix will be useful.
I have to balance what I can show in my videos. I have a lot on it in my course. So I always need to make sure I don't share too much info on RUclips.
@@AndrewZeleno1 Ha. Don't balance, give it all away. More useful videos, more viewers on the channel. But I understand your logic.
The plugin itself is quiet good for sure. I bought it for myself as well. But a lot of other SSL emulations of G Bus compressor are not worse.
9:51 this part killed me😂
Thanks for all the knowledge you share in your videos.
Please show us Brainworx's mistake... wow I can't wait for this
I will do a video about it.
tbt just released their compressor with all the different comps inside one btw. nice idea
Maybe hard knee mode is hard compared to the soft. Use plugin Doctor to check out what it's actually doing.
Andrew could you be kind enough to examine plugs that claim to have pleasing saturation/harmonic distortion like the hardware they emulate please?
of course I will make something on this subject
This was really very interesting, thank you very much.
It makes me think more about checking information with manuals and all before buying something because of marketing.
You didn't understand the point. Manuals are exactly this marketing. I don't get this information from the manuals. I got this from my experience and measurements.
I am Sold. your content is super dope. Much love from South Africa. I ll consider your course as soon as i get my work Leave. for the fact of that you we run the same tools
Thanks! Good to hear! See you soon in skype then or in emails.
Nice to see a professional mixer on RUclips. Thanks for your mind-blowing video.
I appreciate that!
in The SSL Compressor the knee changes depending the Ratio, in 1:2 is soft, in 4:1 a little less and in 10: its hard.
Yes. In the real one. Not in the plugin I meant in the video. As I said in the video SSL confirmed the plugin is wrong. Watch the video one more time. Softube tried to escaped from my request by saying "We didn't try to emulate SSL".
Andrew, please make a video about bx SSL ch. strips, really looking forward to it.😊
I’ll do it at some point
Wow, I love your analysis. Subscribed!
Thank you! Welcome aboard!
thanks for calling these companies out AZ. the least they could do is match settings and responses of their 'emulations' to the originals lol. why bothering spending hours sampling them and then change the parameters from the original units so they will never function as intended! madness.

Waves drew a wrong picture.

Please tell us where the Bus Processor knee knob is supposed to be!!
I don't know. I feel it like around 7
@@AndrewZeleno1 On the original SSL G bus compressor the knee on a ratio of 2 is soft and the knee on 4 and 10 are harder. So it depends....
Comment as this video is worth of 20 years of knowledge. Not just "It's so good because some plugin manufacturer gave me money to promote it"
About TRIANGLE:
Open this comment with "read more" and find three links and even Waves themselves admiting I'm right:
1) Waves' newer plugin M360Manager and they set up 30 degrees properly there and even say in the manual "Speaker angles calibration is required for setting internal rotation and width algorithms to perform precisely per the default ±30° for L and R speakers". So Waves admit my point: assets.wavescdn.com/pdf/plugins/m360-surround.pdf
2) Here's some extra explanation and two pictures: Every total beginner knows that the monitors should stay in an Equilateral triangle.

Brilliant! Love your work ❤
Thank you! 😊
The problem is the original manuals have no real info on what the real device really does
The SSL E from Plugin alliance got wrong frequency in the middle frequency for sure
It’s actually not a mistake. I will explain it in the next video.
But but but but lol nice one

Look at two pictures: www.cnet.com/a/img/resize/d5f2e77ad142559c12beeac143308f1947c3080d/hub/2011/11/09/25e6da56-cbf2-11e2-9a4a-0291187b029a/speakers-main.jpg?auto=webp&width=1200

@@AndrewZeleno1 totally agree. The circle has nothing to do with that. Drawing a triangle in a circle doesn't make it equilateral.
I mean when Dolby Surround systems or stere systems are created, they always use a circle and with 2 radiuses and equal distance on each side of the trianlge you will get a perfect Equilateral triangle. Waves simply drew the tringle incorrectly making it not Equilateral. So the horizonal line is longer and based on their WRONG picture the angle is 90/2=45 while all other plugins/systems, monitor manufacturers do it right: with Equilateral triangle and 30 degrees to the left from the bottom corner.
Thanks. :)))
