    !!! I use the most fair approach. No prepayments. You get a free trial class which is a real-time class with my current students who are taking the course right now. If you like it, you enroll. But still no payments in advance. You will pay only after you start the course and you can do it during the first week of a month. Not in advance. Also we have monthly payments only. So you don't pay for the whole course. I will be proving that it's the top quality education class by class to keep you enrolled in. 99% of students finish all 9 months of the course. I've been doing it like that for 8 years in a row. Get the Free Trial class - it's a fair approach!

    Andrew is the best audio teacher I have ever learned from. I finished his course last week and can honestly say, you will have all bases covered when you attend. From studio setup, mixing technique and methodologies, proper recording application, you finish knowing for a fact that there is no stone that has been left, unturned. Not only does he give you examples of different compression applications, but he explains the differentiating factors between them and most importantly, when to apply each specific type. These YT videos really only scratch the surface, but you have to commit the time to put in and learn as well. A phase, that doesn't end when you complete the course, but only continues as the use cases of what he has taught come up the further you delve into each recording/mixing/mastering scenario.

    Another gem from the master. I love this one, especially the reverb compression, which was a "WOW, I have never thought about it like that" moment for me. I have finished the course last week. When Andrew says it is the best audio production course around, he is not exaggerating. Having experienced it myself, I can certainly say, yes, It is the best. Thank you, Andrew!

    Andrew Zeleno has THE MOST EXTENSIVE mixing course found anywhere. I mean this guy goes into AMAZING detail and has EXTREME detail. He spends so many classes making sure that each student understands EVERY nook and cranny of audio details. He often goes into details about things that MOST people DON"T even think about. He really takes his time and is very dedicated to his students. EASILY the BEST MIXING COURSE IN THE WORLD. EASILY And ITS NOT CLOSE.

    A year ago i was digging RUclips for some useful videos about mixing and accidently found AZ channel. I decided to enroll the course after first video i saw on the channel - I understood that man knows stuff on molecular level. Now I`m just graduated and i can say it was a hell of an adventure. You spend almost a year with a master who gives you everything he knows, you litterally feel how you improve during the course, it`s like a trip to Shaolin mixing camp. Of course it changed the way I mix and now I`m having a clear understanding of how to get THAT sound. Just because of the course I was able to mix a very tricky Ethnic Folk album for a pretty famous band in my country and convince that extremely intractable customer that I am competent as a mixing engineer.
    If you hesitate about the course - don`t be. It may change your life.
    Andrey, thanks for another video, but still going to miss your lectures. Have a good day.

    Great video that covers a very important topic! I'm guilty of many parallel compression mistakes until attending Andrew's classes. Learned not only strategies but also why certain things work in a certain way. Compression in general is a great and very well covered topic of Andrew's classes. Changed everything for me and opened my eyes and most importantly my ears! For me, few minutes in the trial class was enough to convince myself to take the entire course. Do it, you'll always be appreciative for doing it.

    Great example of the problems with parallel compression. There is a lot more you can learn from Andrew's course on parallel compression and many other audio engineering topics. I just completed his course and I can really recommend it because you get to learn how to think accurately in the world of audio and you get to understand everything in detail so you don't have to rely on bad knowledge from the internet.

    мне нравится вешать на драм группу несколько компрессоров, да и лимитер в параллель, могу на шине сатурации накатить и от этой шины посылом на несколько компрессоров подмешивать, ревер тоже компрессирую, но вместе с вокалом, они круто склеиваются. Вообще эксперименты в обработке это интересно, с ними процессы не такие муторные. Видос полезный, даже смотря на инглиш лэнгвуидж всё интуитивно понятно, всегда интересно открыть какой-то новый метод или решение, почерпнув идеи из таких роликов.

    • @AndrewZeleno1
      @AndrewZeleno1  2 года назад +1

      Вы смешиваете обработанный и необработанный сигнал. Понижение ratio делаюет компрессию другого типа. Пожарить кортошку чуть-чуть это низкое ratio. Параллельная компрессия с высоким ratio это разделить картошку на две тарелки - в одной пережарить картошку до черного а во второй тарелке сырая картошка. И потом эти две тарелки смешать в одну. Конечно финальное блюдо не будет как слабо пожаренная картошка.

      I use Cubase but anyway all DAWs are exactly the same. Other than some features and look the main core ideas of the engine are exactly the same. So it's important to learn how to mix and master. And how to record. Not how to mixing and master in "X" DAW.

  • @QuabmasM
    @QuabmasM 2 года назад +2

    Nice video but I only counted 6 tips w/ the last 2 being noob mistakes. Heres 3 freebies for anyone who wanted a full 7 tips lol:
    -juggle your parallel compressed vocal w/ the dry by boosting the fader at certain parts & always turning down the other fader to balance the vocal to the point of it sounding steady. You can then use the more compressed vocal at the parts where the vocal needs to fight more to be heard & fit in the song w/o clipping via too much dynamic volume. Just make sure your parallel send signal is sent pre-fader so when you change the volume of the dry fader, it doesnt affect the parallel send's volume being fed into it.
    -dont be afraid to filter a parallel compressed signal so that you only affect the highs, lows, or the mids. This is essentially making an exciter but you can also use it to add more harmonic volume only to the mids & lower frequencies.
    -use saturation plugins w/ your compressors or pick compressors that have good sounding saturation on them. Saturation compresses more musically & gently shaves off the transients while thickening the floor of the signal w/ more harmonic volume. That said, youll never compress something as tight w/o hearing too many artifacts than when using both the compressor & saturation together which is essentially what retro hardware compressors were loved for.
    Just be careful w/ digital saturation because it can actually sound cheap & horrible compared to 99% of analog gear that adds saturation. Be super biased w/ digital saturation & whenever you have the option, you probably will prefer to turn it down to make the undesired frequencies not pop out so much...needless to say one of the best ways to do that when you dont have a sensitive enough knob on the plugin is to use a parallel send & turn the volume down on the fader. Its not quite the same exact result but it works & makes most bad sounding digital saturation plugins tolerable.
    Good luck.

    • @AndrewZeleno1
      @AndrewZeleno1  2 года назад +5

      Nice tips. However neither of them make them as a separate technique. It's more how you can process a bus with a compressor. But again these tips are on point.

    • @blamejabsdontblameunvaxed8031
      @blamejabsdontblameunvaxed8031 2 года назад +3

      I counted 7. People use it incorrectly exactly how it was shown. Just to push the volume. So it's a technique - volume push I'd say. And people truly apply it and it's turned off for different reasons. I did it many times lol. So it's definitely a technique. How to fool myself lol.

    Great explanation as always AZ!
    I just finished your course so here my review:
    " This course is absolutely game changer,
    His knowledge and preparation are based on many years of study, teaching and practical studio production experiences and most importantly, he has, as I do, an obsessive passion for music.
    Andrew teaches you how to think as a real audio engineer, you learn all the different tools and how to take advantage of each, not based in other people´s presets or superficial thoughts that you find nowadays everywhere on internet.
    In every lesson, I always learned something new that I had never thought and never heard anywhere before.
    If you are a beginner, before buy some fancy gears and plugins, it’s better to take AZ course before.
    You will realize exactly what and at what point you need to “buy” the gears and tools bests for your own music style and conditions.
    For me was the best investments i have ever made."
