That means either you unchecked the plugin at Options > Portable/Audio devices or MediaMonkey doesn't detect your device. If it's an iPhone/iPod touch/iPad, you need to have iTunes/Quicktime installed in order for MM to detect the device

I'm confused about needing a Directory Folder setup. Can you not just transfer from iTouch into MediaMonkey database? My music is stored on drive E: and I want to leave it there. Thanks in advance for answering this (hopefully).

Same problem as everyone else- my iPod has many tracks but the computer isn't showing the music. It says it has none.
