I can't even describe how thankful i am because i have several thousand songs that I've been collecting for years and my computer's memory got screwed up a while ago so all the songs got erased from my iTunes so when my iPod broke I was devastated but you have made me one happy guy!

Thank you so much, much better than other, far more professional looking tutorials that left me high and dry......the reason I needed to do this was because the Itunes on my computer said *No burning software* when I tried to burn a disc, so I needed to get the tracks onto a back up computer, uninstall Itunes then install an earlier version, which did permit disc burning. The more these things update and upgrade the less use they are to me I have discovered.

I think this actually worked! I just got the waterproof shuffle and couldn't get the music from my other shuffle onto itunes - it's transferring now! Thank you!

This works well as of February 2016. Pro tip: Want to pull off certain albums, search author: or album: and the name and it will bring it up. Or just type album: and it brings up all the songs within their albums. Seriously, thank you. :)

Amazing! I was gradually losing all of my music as I was synching my iPhone to my laptop. My iPhone didn't hold as many songs. So each time I transferred I was losing songs. After a while, I figured out what was going on! This got me all of my music back!!!

I have an ipod touch gen 5 and already did the show hidden folders but my ipod only shows a folder called internal storage and inside that is one called dcim and inside that is just 2 folders 823WGTMA and 860OKMZO but they only hold my pics but no other folders. ive been to literally 6 other videos and nothing. so is there something that im missing that you can help with?
Stan Vanpaemel Maybe now that i reply is too late but try using itools. Once you install the program, plug in your ipod. It will show all the things that you have on your ipod. Then choose the File System and you will find the ipod_Control folder with all your music in it. At first i thought it was impossible,because i had the same problem as you but with a little luck i found this program.

Took me a while to find it. Go to "file", "change folder and search options", "view". then scroll down for the hidden folder option :)
