I've seen all the videos you have made about this software. Great job. Nice overview and I believe I finally have found something to change my iThunes for.
7:07 the most bizzare shit, I was actually following your video and i hit play at that exact same song when it appear in your video (lazy sunday by lonely island) haha super useful video btw! Thanks man!
Wow! Good tutuorial, thankya! It's strange to see someone with good taste in music doing a tutorial; it's actually a first for me. Now if we could only find a channel that does work out videos with good tunes. Hehe. Cheers!
THanks! Do you have a video, or can you help me figure out, how to import metadata for my library? I've found that my library is all over the place with incorrect metadata and would love to find a program to fix it. WIll MediaMonkey fix that?
I have a question regarding iPod syncing. Everytime I plug in my device to update it, MediaMonkey opens up, and it drives me nuts! I tried looking around in the "Options" but I couldn't find anything. Is there a way to avoid MediaMonkey from opening when my iPod is plugged into my computer? Thanks for the video! :)
You really have to work with it to what you like. There are a ton of different ways you can set up an equalizer and there are also presets you can use.
If you are using MediaMonkey Basic then yes. The basic version is free and usable, but to get the additional features you will need to purchase the Gold License. The nice thing about the Lifetime Gold License is that it is good for all future MediaMonkey upgrades.
@xXGunsinpercombatXx You will have to use Itunes for this because you cannot download any music from media monkey as it is only a music management program.
mediamonkey is great, and this video is def BASIC. Did you even mention 'play entire library randomly'? Or the sleep function? Or skins? JRMC is better. But MM is a decent, cheap, soft that I've fiddled with for ...oh...6? 7 years.
I have a playlist that has over 3000 songs how do I select all the songs and randomize the order of the songs so when I sync them to my ipod in a random order
Need help with syncing 2 computers so that playlist etc work on both. I need to be able to make changes on one computer and sync it to the other. My problem is that on m desktop database is in c. On my laptop I have it on an external drive E so playlist do not match.Any suggestions would be appreciated
@DisguiseDK I've had it working a couple times but everytime MM or Messenger updates it seems to take a little to get it to work. It is possible though.
Can you please explain to me how to pick and choose what music i want to be synced to my phone or not! I have over 3000 songs in my library and can not figure out how to pick and choose what albums go onto my phone storage!
do you know a way to stream my music from MediaMonkey to phone over data plan? I have limited storage on my phone and want to have all my songs. I'm greedy that way!
I just want to make sure I understand. All my music is ITunes and I hate it. I want to be able to move my library to a Program where I can sync my music to my Apple iphone and iPad. From what I am understanding MM will do this. Is that correct? If I go to MM and transfer all my music from ITunes will MM convert files to be usable?
I have a feeling you didn't try too hard with the ipod touch synchronizing. I don't have an ipod but i know it does work more information is on their website.
I have tried all these programs and none of them work. Even watching these videos it's too complicated. Options that appear in your video don't appear on the program and something always goes wrong smh. I wish it was just simple as drag, drop, find album artwork and sync!!!
It is way better than WMP and iTunes. I have used WMP for years, but it kinda lacks advanced features needed for a large music collection. And Mediamonkey is also faster.
i hope mediamokey can play video as well as manage video like it does with audio too. It would be perfect if it can play all the video and music together
@josh74747474 Just find the files on your iPod when you plug it in. Open Computer, right click iPod then find the folders for music. They should be in a 4-Digit/ Letter code so just listen to your music and rename it as you go. That's just one way I know. Hope it helps.
I saw that, and thank you for your reply. It seems the mp3 (bought 2 of them) are just junk. I'm going to return them and get one a step up because neither (same players) would allow me to drag and drop music or add music using Windows Media Player which the instructions said to do.
@watchtheinternet yeah..but i dont take Apples softwares [for PC especially] as something to compare to. if you tell me it takes like 1-15mb of ram-thats cool... but if Media Monkey takes like 40- then its quite alot in my opinion. Cant u check for use, dude? Ctrl+Alt+Del man...simple! :]
This program is being a real sl*t for me at the moment... Every time I open it I am greeted by "Bolt Thrower - Realm of Chaos" even if it wasn't the last album I listened to. On occasion specific columns appear, notably a summary column, and if I disable them, they re-appear when I browse a different genre, artist, or album. As reliable as it has been compared to my experiences with competing media players... I think there are still small issues that bother me.
Anyone who uses a sansa mp3 should get this. The free alternatives are WMP and Rhapsody and both suck ass. The free version of Media monkey is faster than both of those.
You said that MM will find all the music on your hard drive and I assumed it would be able to play it and organize it. It won't though. It doesn't play iTunes formats. Now I have a huge mess of useless songs that won't play or organize because you said MM would find all the songs. Be specific!!!!!! I'm sure you meant well but your instructions are extremely poor and outdated!
Warning! Do not use this video to leave iTunes and integrate large music collections!!!! This video is a mess maker that does not let you know that MM will not work with iTunes music.
@jeremy112523 iTunes is the best and only. It's simple, looks great, super easy to use, and it has the itunes store and you connect your ipod and it manages everything for you. iTunes is the one and only bitch!
This software is definitely garbage...You are describing lame features in the video that WMP can do. The software claims it will automatically tag your music...that is a lie. You can only do 1 album at a time. Waste of time.
I have a playlist that has over 3000 songs how do I select all the songs and randomize the order of the songs so when I sync them to my ipod in a random order
I've seen all the videos you have made about this software. Great job. Nice overview and I believe I finally have found something to change my iThunes for.
ASMR man....your voice is very relaxing and makes my spine tingle XD
7:07 the most bizzare shit, I was actually following your video and i hit play at that exact same song when it appear in your video (lazy sunday by lonely island) haha super useful video btw! Thanks man!

Useful info, thanks. Hope you do more on this.
Mine must be newer version, does anyone know how to set it to just album artists like in this tutorial for the newest version?
THanks! Do you have a video, or can you help me figure out, how to import metadata for my library? I've found that my library is all over the place with incorrect metadata and would love to find a program to fix it. WIll MediaMonkey fix that?
Yep mines different too. Any tutorial links to the newest version?
@bartdoggers its a program called snagit, a very good screen capture program
I have a question regarding iPod syncing. Everytime I plug in my device to update it, MediaMonkey opens up, and it drives me nuts! Thanx, great kick-start class. You helped me lots, thanx.
Man's got some real taste demoing with Merriweather Post Pavilion
You really have to work with it to what you like. There are a ton of different ways you can set up an equalizer and there are also presets you can use.
I have Win.7 64bit and am currently using MM4 how do I get the greyed out features to work? Do I have to buy a licence for this old version?
If you are using MediaMonkey Basic then yes. The basic version is free and usable, but to get the additional features you will need to purchase the Gold License. The nice thing about the Lifetime Gold License is that it is good for all future MediaMonkey upgrades.
I JSUT installed medianmoneky, and my iphone is connected, but it is not seen by mediamonkey. How do i configure?
A long shot ... but can you record onto mini discs ? Thanks
can you set it up like a touch screen duke box in a pub,
can you download muisic from Media Monkey to your ipod touch wil it work???
help me i need to doownload music for my ipod
@xXGunsinpercombatXx You will have to use Itunes for this because you cannot download any music from media monkey as it is only a music management program.

But MM is a decent, cheap, soft that I've fiddled with for ...oh...6? 7 years.

@DisguiseDK I've had it working a couple times but everytime MM or Messenger updates it seems to take a little to get it to work. It is possible though.
Is this program compatible with Messnger? Can it show what I'm listening to?
Very nice explanation
Can you please explain to me how to pick and choose what music i want to be synced to my phone or not! I have over 3000 songs in my library and can not figure out how to pick and choose what albums go onto my phone storage!
Can I somehow get my notes from my ipod to my pc?
Ya, it's definitely one of the best Itunes Alternatives out there. Thanks for watching.
do you know a way to stream my music from MediaMonkey to phone over data plan? I have limited storage on my phone and want to have all my songs. I'm greedy that way!
Great tutorial in its day, but hopelessly outdated in 2021, MM has changed so much, how about doing a new tutorial?
Thanks, there's a couple more videos too.
I just want to make sure I understand. All my music is ITunes and I hate it. I want to be able to move my library to a Program where I can sync my music to my Apple iphone and iPad. My screen is differnet than yours, and i cant find anything your showing on mine, PLEASE HELP!
@watchtheinternet Nice Video.Does it change wav to Mp3?
thanks for that good start but i would like u to help me know how to organize my folder on to deckstop
I have a feeling you didn't try too hard with the ipod touch synchronizing. I don't have an ipod but i know it does work more information is on their website.
so can you use this instead of itunes?
Do you know how to just sync your library onto the mp3 player?
I have tried all these programs and none of them work. Even watching these videos it's too complicated. Options that appear in your video don't appear on the program and something always goes wrong smh. I wish it was just simple as drag, drop, find album artwork and sync!!!
my now playing thing isnt docked!?
This is only for window not for mac is it?
hey man where did you get that background
there is no tree nodes mine is different
can mediamonkey play and download podcasts?
Can I run media monkey from my secondary hdd? I have all my songs stored there cause my main drive doesn't have a lot of storage.
Yes, you can just load in all your songs from that secondary HDD.
thanks
It is way better than WMP and iTunes. I have used WMP for years, but it kinda lacks advanced features needed for a large music collection. And Mediamonkey is also faster.
@louiscarr899 Media Monkey dosen't support video playback or management so it won't be able to sync your videos to your ipod. :(
nice simple guide .thank you ..!
can it sync with an IPOD?
i hope mediamokey can play video as well as manage video like it does with audio too. It would be perfect if it can play all the video and music together
All you have to do is skin it. Go to tools-options and then down to the bottom to skins and change it to vitreous blue
Im working on getting this script to work. Hopefully new video soon.
should specify that Firefox is needed to use this addon as some people just might miss that bit :)
what happened to MM looks like it had died :/ the whole projeckt why its not evolving ??
@josh74747474 Just find the files on your iPod when you plug it in. Open Computer, right click iPod then find the folders for music. They should be in a 4-Digit/ Letter code so just listen to your music and rename it as you go. That's just one way I know. Hope it helps.
I want your wallpaper.
@szfehler I've used iTunes for the past 5 years and iTunes has NEVER deleted a song in my library. You're completely nuts.
It seems better than WMP 12. The program is so bad at first I thought the program was corrupted. But I was wrong =(
@LivinThatHighLife its because you changed the path of the song or your playing a file from itunes and don't have quicktime installed. troll.
nice wallpaper :D
is it just me or does everyone's music folder have "...and you will know us by the trail of dead" and "!!! (tic tic tic)" at the beginning? lol
LoL... me too.... Amen to that voice!
I hate that some mp3's force you to use these type of programs.
I saw that, and thank you for your reply. It seems the mp3 (bought 2 of them) are just junk. I'm going to return them and get one a step up because neither (same players) would allow me to drag and drop music or add music using Windows Media Player which the instructions said to do.
brand new :o !
I have 623737838 songs will this this work or will it break the internet??
@watchtheinternet yeah..but i dont take Apples softwares [for PC especially] as something to compare to. if you tell me it takes like 1-15mb of ram-thats cool... but if Media Monkey takes like 40- then its quite alot in my opinion.

@watchtheinternet thanks man much appreciated
@eladbari lets just say its alot less than itunes
@scud830 no its really usefull
@LivinThatHighLife nice comment LOL
You said that MM will find all the music on your hard drive and I assumed it would be able to play it and organize it. It won't though. It doesn't play iTunes formats. I'm sure you meant well but your instructions are extremely poor and outdated!
I think you'll find that having anything to do with itunes was the real problem here.
RIP. all that pirated music you have clearly got due to those filenames
LOL! Thats SO FUNNY!
Warning! Do not use this video to leave iTunes and integrate large music collections!!!! This video is a mess maker that does not let you know that MM will not work with iTunes music.
@ihatehobbits Press File and Rescan Tracks to the library.
@DoubleAssClown Why do you call it garbage? Anything looks better than WMP12. Now that's garbage.
@watchtheinternet wow.
💟🇧🇩
lol we all be poor if we bought all our music then again im already poor :/
Sorry not even closer to media player!!! itunes winamp all these things are just shit next to windows media player.
@LittleDrummerBoy239 i would be poor if i did
yes! +44
@DoubleAssClown troll
@scud830 then don't use it troll
@jeremy112523 iTunes is the best and only. It's simple, looks great, super easy to use, and it has the itunes store and you connect your ipod and it manages everything for you. iTunes is the one and only bitch!
He doesn't know how to properly use the word troll. I don't think he knows what it means either actually.
This software is definitely garbage...You are describing lame features in the video that WMP can do. The software claims it will automatically tag your music...that is a lie. You can only do 1 album at a time. Waste of time.
This software seems useless...
