Thought I was gonna be disappointed when you said you were bringing the boat to a shop to have this work done since I’m such a DIY junkie. But I’ll happily enjoy this video since you still showed us how it’s done! Thanks for putting in the time to make that drive so we can see what how it’s done

looks like bad prep work on both parties. that detail line about 8 inches from the top, partially filled in with bondo from the repair, never cleaned up at the shop looks really bad. paint looks good though.
Are you talking about the line where the rubber. Protector goes on anyway?

I love this project as I’m a wakeboater, but from a selling standpoint after you fix it up I feel like it’ll be hard to find someone as it’s been wrecked. I’m sure there’s plenty of people that would be happy to buy it for a good deal but you just have to find the right person. I personally am the one who would only buy used if it was in near perfect condition and was only serviced at the dealer it was purchased from. Anyways, once you get it fixed up you should definitely take it out and try some wakesurfing!!!

@@Punjig POS is reserved for the 6.4 the 6.0 can be troublesome but if done right and early they are nice motors.

Lmao its a diesel look at all the other diesels 300k 400k 500k without anything but regular maintnance 6 litre 20k pull the cab it needs turbo.. 40k pull the cab it need injection pump 45k pull the cab it needs injectors 60k pull the cab it needs another turbo. And head bolts. 65k oil cooler has issue. 70k oil pump went out lmao i owned 1 for a couple years this is all experience no guesses

really lovely job, gelcoats is such a bitch to do this way, the original finish is laid up in the mould so no need for all the blocking and buffing , being able to replicate the mould finish doing it "backwards" like this is a real art.
you swerved the potential colour match problem by going for the full repaint too.

It looks really nice. Maybe it’s my eyes, but what’s that recessed line that seems to go right around the boat? It seems to stop and start on the repair side. It’s where the red meets the green.
That’s a factory cut to prevent cracks when screwing in the rub rail.

What I learned from this video, everything Rebuilder Guy did, the shop he took his boat to, could've done all that, and Rebuilder Guy's wallet would be a lot thinner if he had.
If i had that boat i would go green to blue fade front to back with black accents.
