OMG I now understand why that Boat was so special it has to be the top fun boat there it is so Versatile Perfect and the Finished Job Looks AWESOME THANK YOU
I only watch rebuilder videos if they really know their stuff, many just strip paint, wirebrush, silicone and repaint. They don't uograde, they don't make gaskets, shoddy use of tools as well. You did great!
I'm impressed. You were able to build it like new for about half of the cost. We have a 2018 MasterCraft XT23 that we bought for a hell of a deal new at $111k and now new they are 150 plus. There's some wakeboard/surf boats that are north of 200k. This is still the best purchase of my life. I wouldn't ever sell it!
Great project and a really good story to watch. You have a pretty much new boat for $56k I’d say that’s a bargain...any 2nd hand boat would still need work, so I estimate your saving to be at least $30k! Well done guys, thanks for the ride. UK fan 😃
Excellent job on this rebuild. In Canada a 2022 mastercraft 24' selling for $312,000. Pricing is insane. We got a great deal in NY state for a 2000 bayliner in 2010 and my husband updated the floor new vinyl and resin framing. She runs great. Today in Canada its worth $14 000. Inflation and demand for boating during covid19
Brought my Rebuilder Guy shirt to work today. Stopped everything I was doing grabbed my apprentice and we watched this video why? Because Rebuilder Guy!
Really enjoyed your rebuild. Much better than the Discovery Channel rebuild shows that focus on the stupid, mindless grab assing and show nothing about the process. Glad it turned out so well, thanks for posting.
Dude as long as you and your family like it and it’s been a thrill seeing the image in your head come to life it’s worth it I do the same with my bikes lol they say it’s mad but it’s mine and what I wanted you have one life don’t miss a moment to enjoy…. great set of vids thank you .
$85 an hour.. damn I'd rent it for that in a heartbeat! Care to share what revenue the RUclips videos brought you in.. you should add that to the costs of getting you back in the black too! Loved the series!
Great series!....Kudos RBG that was an excellent excellent and informative set of videos..Also thanks for helping all of us find that awesome boat shop that did the gelcoat.
Man! I agree with you. As a business maybe is not the best enterprise, but what the quality of time that you will have with your family is priceless. congratulations. This project is very inspiring and I wish I could do something like that. Thank you for sharing.
Very good & honest series.... I agree with you 100%, to be honest... As a business model, I don't see it. Now, if you like working on stuff, and it's fun downtime from your regular job, then sure. If you were going to buy a used boat anyways, sure, absolutely, you're going to get way more boat, pound for pound, dollar for dollar, doing it your way.... Plus, you will know your boat, inside & out, you will know it's done right, you will know how to fix it if something goes wrong... Hard to put a price on that... Its very heartbreaking to see, but, we all know those people, who spent the big money at the dealer, then threw MORE money at techs, and different marinas... And never did get their boat running worth a crap, and ended up dumping it in disgust. You, having gone through the boat yourself, you know it's right, you know it runs good, you can go on the water and have a good experience.... $85 an hour, really? Did I hear that right? Wow. There is NOTHING like that around this area of the country... I'd do that, no question. I've only come across 2 places that rent in this general area, and they get hundreds, plus a big security deposit, and a mandatory insurance deal... Literally, you rent 3 times, you could buy your own boat.... Anyways great job on these videos, and great great job on the boat. That was a lotta work... I give you a lot of credit for sticking with it to the end....
Good work man. That is awesome and what a great time. For those saying they can buy this boat for $50k, no way. You are lucky to find one this clean with under 100 hours for less than 70k. Plus nautiques hold their value like no other.
I’m curious on it being salvaged title where it moves the price too compared to clean titled used boats? The work was proper and done right I’m just curious how they compare
You really re-built a cool wake board boat that looks AWESOME, sharing the work, and then final cost was really nice, would most of use be able to accomplish what you did, "NO" but anyone that watched your video's has learned a lot.
Dude, you earned this! But also add what you made from posting on RUclips and it was a better deal for you. I like fixing stuff up to, but I'm glad that you did it and not me. Hopefully you can recoup some costs by having the tools for your next project.
Nice boat well done. That type of boat is very popular in Australia. Didn’t know about the ballast though things have changed when I used to skurf we made the boat as light as possible.
I see the hull design went back to old school for turning. My 90 Malibu has the same (bottom) hull design and it turns on a dime. Nice boat great job on the finish.
Looks great and you can put a price on family and friend time on a boat. When surfing have just a bit more in the surf side vs ballast tank and it will help your surf wave
That is one awesome boat and you are a master at restoring it!! I’ve enjoyed watching your hard work and I look forward to seeing your next project! Thank you very much for sharing this with all of us !!!
Big brother is watching, wake surfing add popped up while watching vid. Good job on the boat, gives me some ideas for my future project. :) Cheers from New Zealand.
Hope to see you and your awesome boat on canyon lake. I just bought a project boat in February and have had it on canyon lake twice. Thanks for the video.
Try a Gen-Y hitch for the kickback. Not sure if a different trailer will change the towing physics that much based on the weight distribution of the boat.
Rebuilder Guy, how much did it cost you after you subtract what you have made from RUclips for this series?? Also you did a great job on the build. Take care.
Tip from a waterskier in Sweden. Don't drive a jetski so close behind, if the skier falls, the Jetski driver can't stear away in time to not hit the skier.
I personally would lose money here because I dont wakeboard or surf. But you really made a profit off of this one, especially if you were to sell it for 70k-80k. The use you get out of it though is definitely worth the work. Plus you actually reinforced it in ways the factory failed. Well done man
You can't really count tools because you will undoubtedly use those on future projects. And they really never lose resale value. But happy to see her on the water. Looks great.
Nice boat my friend..a whole ship load of money tho'. I would invest in some straps to hold the boat down on the trailer. I do not recall seeing any while the boat was being tailored...
Beer + no life jackets + stupid jet skis following super close...what could go wrong? Also, unless you lie about the boat's history, you'll probably lose money. Good job I guess getting it running for now though.
@@calvinh208 Yeah agreed. If a buyer has that kind of money they'll either just go buy a new one or a mint used one. Although the restore was absolutely incredible there was still some worry about the tower cracking
i think you can connect you camera to that screen and they should have gopro holders all around the outside of that boat or maybe just supras can do that
Cant put a price on family time and hanging out with ur mates doing what you enjoy bro, congratulations great boat , much love from the UK ✌😎
no...but you absolutely can on a boat.
@@mattnetko2282 bwahaha! Yahtzee!
I think youtube can fit a few more advertisements in the video.. awesome job
I didn't get a single one?
I'm pretty impressed at the surfing skills in this video, too!
Turned out awesome!! You can't put a price on fun like that.
actually you can. you can get the same amount of fun from a $3,000 boat.
catfisher420
Yes you can, check out my 1977 Hawaiian day cruiser on my channel. I’ve had more fun on that boat then you could imagine. Ha
Only thing a $3000 boat will do, that a boat like that will do, is float.

Here’s the link, we paid 12k for it new in 77’ 🙂

After some months watching from the beginning this build was it worth it ???
no doubt !!
would you watch it again???
absolutely !!!

Ikr! At the jesey shore they want something like 100/hr for a jet ski maybe 2 hrs
7,289,000 views on all ten videos.... no idea how much $$ youtube ads get you but thats a decent amount of people viewing an ad.
What I rented a similar boat for 1,000 dollars for 8 hours
@@john-zf1yb that’s more like market price. Even in TX.
excellent job boat looks amazing
Love the honesty and the whole story to go with it!! Congrats!
Wow great vid RG..... and insight into wakeboarding and surfing. First time I have seen surfing off the back of a boat. Awesome fun
$56,139 was total cost.
Now this makes me wants to go buy one
Brand new they are bout 100k or more
Hayden Sapp but with a salvage title how much would it be just something tot hunk about
Hayden Sapp much more
that's a steal if it performs like it should and powertrain, hull, finish is fine. boat show price new was guessing $115k
Hats off to you sir, looks amazing and yeah, you did it right - those long hours paid off - greetings from UK 🇬🇧

When you buy a totaled out boat, does it have a salvage title like a car would? If so, how much does that effect resale value?

Love the videos, the builds and your easy presentation style Rebuilder Guy. Keep it going......
Canyon Lake is beautiful. Maybe we'll see you out on the water soon! Boat looks clean.
YOOOOOOOOO that "support vehicle" is ultimate rebuilds old jet ski!!
You know what they say? The happiest day is when you sell the boat the worst day is when you buy it. Awesome build.
Hi, May I ask where you got your tower. It looks amazing and I’m having a hard time finding one I like. Yours looks amazing though!
Dude just amazing! Really enjoyed your video! Now I understand what you mean with 'super boat'!

Beautiful job you'll probably get a great buck for it since everything replaced is brand new
Glad it’s semi done and on the water for you to enjoy. But that boat in 2014 didn’t sell for over 100k regardless of options man.
beautiful boat. I want to repair something like this soon

Wow 👏 good job 👏 👍 just watched your videos and enjoyed them all. Keep up the great work 👏.. Thank you and good luck 👍 in your future!
Amazing end result. Thanks for sharing
just found one in Seattle that needs some work on the motor. Can be had for $4500. Interior is in decent shape and all the electronics work perfect.

That surfing is cool. Awesome boat. Nice job.
You can't really count tools because you will undoubtedly use those on future projects. And they really never lose resale value. But happy to see her on the water. Looks great.
The boat turned out freaking nice!!!
Good job man! The prices on these boats are only going up, I just saw the new G23 Paragon is going to be 265k.. craziness.
You have a malibu trailer with a g21? That's kind of crazy. Were there any issues with the fit between the trailer and the boat?
Nice boat my friend..a whole ship load of money tho'. I would invest in some straps to hold the boat down on the trailer. I do not recall seeing any while the boat was being tailored...
Sorry for multiple comments... what did it look like when you bought it?
Wot a awesome outcome wicked boat can’t wait for the next project
Little dangerous driving the ski in the wake while towing with the boat lol just saying
Had to be said. Don't try that at home kiddies.
Although the restore was absolutely incredible there was still some worry about the tower cracking
easy to hit head surfing or pass out. By the time boat comes back, surfer could sink. It happens. Even with those thin jackets on.
Check engine lights on. Nice job, real nice.
Nice build. How tall is your garage door on your building? 13'?
It feels like it was just yesterday you started the rebuild series
One hell of a Job!!
i think you can connect you camera to that screen and they should have gopro holders all around the outside of that boat or maybe just supras can do that
