  • Disclaimer: This is an educational video about sex education in schools and colleges.
In this video, Abhi and Niyu discuss the need to include sex education in our school education. In this thought-provoking RUclips video, we delve into the pressing issue of the dire need for comprehensive sex education in India. As a country grappling with rapid social changes, technological advancements, and evolving norms, providing young people with accurate and relevant information about sex and relationships has become an undeniable necessity.
The video commences by addressing the prevailing cultural taboos surrounding discussions about sex in India, which have long perpetuated ignorance and misinformation among the youth. This taboo has resulted in a lack of awareness, leaving countless adolescents vulnerable to unintended pregnancies, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and emotional distress.
Through insightful commentary and well-researched statistics, the video sheds light on the alarming rise in teenage pregnancies and the disproportionately high rate of STIs among the youth. By illustrating real-life stories, it highlights the detrimental consequences of inadequate sex education, ranging from early dropouts from educational institutions to the perpetuation of poverty cycles.
Moreover, the video advocates for the inclusion of sex education in school curricula, aiming to dispel myths and misconceptions about sex and foster a culture of healthy relationships and consent. It emphasizes that education should be age-appropriate, fact-based, and culturally sensitive, designed to empower young individuals with the knowledge and skills they need to make informed decisions.
Drawing upon successful sex education models implemented in other countries, the video offers insights into the potential positive impacts of comprehensive sex education, such as reduced teenage pregnancies, improved reproductive health outcomes, and enhanced gender equality.
However, the video also acknowledges the challenges faced in implementing sex education in India, including resistance from conservative factions, cultural barriers, and bureaucratic hurdles. It encourages open dialogue between parents, educators, policymakers, and advocates, emphasizing that a collaborative effort is essential to drive this crucial change.
Ultimately, this RUclips video serves as a wake-up call, reminding viewers that providing comprehensive sex education is not merely about discussing biology but is about fostering a society where young people are empowered to make informed choices, respect one another's boundaries, and lead healthier and more fulfilling lives.
Join the conversation and support the call for comprehensive sex education in India by watching and sharing this eye-opening video. Together, we can break the silence and create a safer and more informed future for the next generation.

In india my teachers just skipped the reproduction chapter but in kenya it is normalised. Even though this country is poorer than india it is still normalised but conditions in india are worse. Government should definitely include such chapters in the syllabus and demolish such misconceptions about sex ed

Sexual education is still one of the major concerns in some nations across the world. Some are willing to accept the change and some aren’t. We need to accept the fact that sexual education is a must to achieve a healthy lifestyle without any diseases, it doesn’t matter if it’s India or USA, sex education should be compulsory in schools and universities to educate youth about healthy and hygienic well-being. Sexual education is not promoting to have sex, it is to educate people about healthy and safe sex.

I think the same bro, because of lack of sex education many innocent boys become criminals when they grow up. Also teenage girls have to face sexual harrasment. My friend when she was class 9 didn't know about sex her father introduced her about sex and said if she do sex with him she will grow beautifully, as her ambition was to become airhostess. She taught father is teaching her good things, she blindly believed her father. But when she got pregnant and had abortion for the first time, it was a horrific movement for her, than she realized sex is not helping her to grow instead it will make her body degrade. She told her father she don't want to have sex with him anymore because it's not helping. But father didn't understand and did sex with her for more years, aborted 2 pregnancy. All those years She couldn't tell anyone because she thought people will think she is a bad girl. But now she is 30 yr and she is in her healing journey and practicing self Love.

They are very broad minded I'm soo glad...I really hope that teachers must talk about these kind of topics to students otherwise we all kids will get exploited in this barrier.

"sex education in India varied across different states and regions. It was a topic of debate and controversy. Some schools offered limited sex education, focusing on biology and anatomy, while others chose not to include it in their curriculum at all. The lack of comprehensive and standardized sex education led to issues like misinformation and inadequate awareness about sexual health.
It's important to note that the situation might have evolved since my last update, so I recommend checking more recent sources for the latest information on sex education in India".

Initially, she responded with "I don't know," but when I pressed for an answer, she just laughed and gave me a look to be quiet. Everyone in the class would look at me with a giggle. I couldn't understand what was going on. I didn't even feel embarrassed coz I felt that it was a legit question. But when my friends told me about it, then it hurt

Read about Mandan Mishr and Adi Shankaracharya's shashtrath. When Adi Shankaracharya is asked about this aspect by Mandan Mishr's wife how he gets the info and how he presents it. He collates the results in a book and hands it over instead of discussing publicly to avoid the sensitive topic being made a source of cheap pleasure derivation. Kudos to you for this effort!!

I wonder if our book contain the chapter Reproduction then why teacher feel ashamed on teaching it. They skips most of the parts of that topic. Our friends and classmates make different theories about sex that are inappropriate and we follow these theories and began to fear. When I was in class 8th my father saw the lesson Reproduction in my science book and his words was 'Why CBSE is teaching this lesson so early?'

You may wonder what made them do this, you may wonder if I had some strange power. Let me tell you that I did have a power and this is it - never once in my life did I allow myself to have even one sexual thought. I trained my mind, my thinking, and the powers that man usually uses along that line I put into a higher
