I would love to see some bit of reflection off some of the objects(like a simple reflection probes or only allowing certain light sources to interact with specularality But it looks great for what is a game running on mobile vr hardware :D
Well, "pumping out" an AAA game is not a mere matter of spending an extra few hours' dev time. It takes huge money, resources and time for a still-small audience, which is why Meta is bankrolling so many of the big releases. But yeah, people won't be attracted to low-effort low-poly worlds just because they're easy to produce. Expect more of these AAA releases only if VR's audience grows significantly.
Will the Quest 2 be able to run this game smoothly? Coming from experience playing other titles on the Quest 2, an example being Into the Radius, the game tends to crash or freeze up completely trying to run it. If you have an answer for that, it would be greatly appreciated, as I know this is the Quest 3 gameplay.
It's nice to see this. The fidelity of the characters and props is really outstanding but the lack of shadowing on characters and objects is a really bummer for the feeling of Metro :/ - Very impressive for standalone.

@@duoduos9221 yeah but think about it. It's running on a tiny mobile chipset less than an inch from your face. I wonder if they chose when not to use it because of heat related issues. If the quest 3 can do this... quest 4 is going to be a all in one stand alone beast.

See you in VR!
That AI is god tier 👏
I would love to see some bit of reflection off some of the objects(like a simple reflection probes or only allowing certain light sources to interact with specularality But it looks great for what is a game running on mobile vr hardware :D
So the Quest IS capable of good graphics. But most developers still keep pumping out cartoon graphics.
@@uws5604we just have to hope enough people jump on the Arkham Shadow hype train
Environments look solid. The muzzle flashes could be a bit better. Otherwise I'm looking forward to this one!
Pre ordered already - looks fantastic
It's about time we had some decent VR games I haven't used my oculus quest 3 in months haha 😂
Looks pretty good even compared to the psvr trailer.
Would be cool if the game had mic access and you could whistle to enemies or even blow out candles
Looks absolutely amazing
Let's go 🔥
if i buy the quest version is possibile to play also in PCVR via Meta quest link? if i remember correctly some games has this feature
Unfortunately not, they abandoned this feature, I think Arizona Sunshine was the last one
no crossbuy
FINALLY a game that rivals Alyx!
ima be playing on psvr2, but this looks super solid for stand alone
wow this is impressive
Will the Quest 2 be able to run this game smoothly? Coming from experience playing other titles on the Quest 2, an example being Into the Radius, the game tends to crash or freeze up completely trying to run it. If you have an answer for that, it would be greatly appreciated, as I know this is the Quest 3 gameplay.
Better start saving up because the Quest 2 is all done getting quality titles that run well now that the Quest 3S is here.
metro games the mvp of vr devs
Absolutamente amo el estilo gráfico cell shading en juegos de Vr, creo que es la mejor opción calidad rendimiento posible
I am very excited to play this in November! Very curious too how it will run on my Quest 2
Maybe I'm wrong but this game is a Quest 3 exlusive
a bit more potato, like all others.
It will also be coming to Quest 2
@@Pierpawolf its on quest 2 too
@@PierpawolfYou‘re wrong
preordered on steam! so excited!
Get hype 🤩
It's nice to see this. The fidelity of the characters and props is really outstanding but the lack of shadowing on characters and objects is a really bummer for the feeling of Metro :/ - Very impressive for standalone.
I think you better watch that again. You can clearly see when she raises her arm it casts a shadow on her face @4:52
@@tensix5481 - it’s only in the cinema scene not in the actual real time game play unfortunately
@@PayneSculptures that's unfortunate
yeah im kind of disappointed in the lack of real time shadows. maybe not full real-time shadows but they definitely could do something to improve the lightning and spot shadows a bit with some optimization
@@duoduos9221 yeah but think about it. It's running on a tiny mobile chipset less than an inch from your face. I wonder if they chose when not to use it because of heat related issues.
If the quest 3 can do this... quest 4 is going to be a all in one stand alone beast.
hope they can add shadows and lighting effects but this looks crazy good
This is what I needed to make a decision... I will buy te Quest 3
I got to say after the disaster of a game hitman 3 vr reloaded this is a huge upgrade i like the graphics a lot and can't wait to play it
Amazing!
In a few years we'll have Half-Life Alyx graphics on a Meta Quest hopefully.
That is likely with Quest 5. The possibility is also Quest 4, but for that, Meta would need to hold off until 2030 to launch the 4.
Holy crap this looks amazing!
5:12 is that the ghosts of tabor metal walking sound 😂
This is insane.
Looks great. Slower paced, ambient atmosphere with higher stakes is the way to go. I'll take a smaller, tunnel map filled with excitement and danger around every corner over a huge open world that's bland and boring any day of the week.
@meta can you please confirm whether this version will be cross-buy with the PC/Rift version?
Is this Quest 2 or 3 and are there any real differences?
Yes, take q3
Quest 2 is being replaced with the 3s.
Hey there RedcoatTrooper, to compare devices we recommend check out this page here: www.meta.com/gb/quest/compare/
This will give you a brief comparison of all our devices so you can decide which gateway to VR is right for you.
We hope this helps!
@MetaQuestVR, he's asking if this gameplay is on quest 2 or quest 3. And if there's any graphics difference between then.
It's Q3 according to Vertigo Games YT account ;)
Will it be only VR? Or normal also ?
Built exclusively for VR means its VR only.
Thankfully VR only.. flat games that get VR as an option always butcher the VR component...
so this is why paradox of hope got blasted
floating hands is prob my only complaint i just wish there were at least full arms
The game is not really my cup of tea but this is the way to go - show us how the game plays on stand alone and we will be more willing to check things out
This is the closest we’re ever going to a new metro game
Looks awesome! Can’t wait!
Is it possible to play this game without using a computer? only on helmet?
You mean only with a VR headset? Metro awakening will support quest 2 and 3.
Looks good but really thought we would be past quest games just having flat textures with little to no materials on them. There's no metallic properties or cubemap reflections which are cheap to render and would make a big difference to the gfx
Nice lighting!
