How about adding in rough lighting or colour to a blockout? Not art really but having some directed light to help guide the players eye or some contrasting colors. I'm not quite sure as I'm new but I think going a step beyond an unlighted greybox could be good no?
If you can do it no worries at all, I think it can be super useful. When you are in AAA you have a lighting team so you tend not to be involved as the lighting artist will always do a great job, but for personal work it is a great addition to the threat mate
Hey Hurkan! You can show it in the level by using the grided material I show in examples as this will be how you measure your metrics, so avoid using ground or wall textures just change the colour of the grid to get your point across.
It is $1000 just so we are not spreading miss information, yh it is a lot of money but you do get a lot from it, however I still understand it is a lot
Great timing, just loading up my blockout, great video mate, thanks!
No worries, hoep it comes in handy and I am sure you will do some incredible work
@@LevelDesignLobby it definitely does mate and reinforces my need to continue to make levels less blocky and add relevant architectural details
I just want to say: what an hilarious name XD

Hi Max. I have a question. How can we focus on/show metrics in our level if we make our blockouts in maya or blender?
