Thank you for the realistic review. Most of us just want a "Good Enough" tv because we know in like 10 years it will have to go to the dumpster. I can't imagine the need for a $5,000.99 TV even if I had the money.
That’s obviously not true since you can keep outdated technology,moody is forcing you to buy a state of the art electronic,i used a crt tv until 2015(crt tv is the old TVs with the hunchback.)
i bought one and it just went out but its only 3 years old ...not a state of the art tv but it was ok till i can't get it to come on and I wont buy another one but if you do maybe you need to get extra warranty
There is a good gape between good enough and 5,000......I think $500 is a good starting point usually even if it's on sale like a $700 marked down. That being said you'll usually get a much better tv at the $700-800 price range marked down from 1,000 to 1,200. I also feel like every 5-7 years is a better upgrade time but then move the old TV to a different room. I'm still using a 12 year old tv but it did need to be repaired twice once under warranty after 5 years and once more recently. I also have a Samsung 4k tv that was $500 on sale, but I also got a friend employee discount making it even cheaper.
On the flip side, I bought a top of the line Samsung for 1300 dollars in 2013 and it’s going strong today 2023 - sure, it’s 1080p but the color still blows away any cheap 4k and there’s nothing wrong with it.
I just bought this TV at Costco for $279! I couldn't get past the price because it was the cheapest 55" TV that I have seen. (I've seen reviews on Hisense and definitely decided to take the risk). I haven't opened it yet. This video is helping me know what to expect because I'm not a big tech/TV guru! I'm excited to see what it's like.

For the most part! Sometimes it blacks out but I just unplug and replug and it works fine. No complaints. Was worth the money.

I have mine set to where it changes automatically to adjust to what im watching it looks good on that setting for movies nice picture gaming we dont game on that tv so not sure on that one

Hey Miquel! You're welcome. It was my first AndroidTV as well, and its good stuff to know. One note, I recommend everyone reboot their TV every month or so depending on what apps they run.

Hey man. Great review. I love my 65h8f. For the buttons u were talking about u can get an app called Button Mapper and program (remap) 3 apps to each button. I use it on my shield.

I bought this TV about a week ago, been pleased with it as I am very familiar with Android TV through my NVidia Shield TV. only thing i noticed was i've had to unplug twice and I don't really know why? it froze on RUclips and it wouldn't power on one time, but It may be something i did by changing some features and didn't reset. Overall good picture for my bedroom setting.
Don't know if you still have this tv, but it is junk! I had one a year ago and it went bad after 8 months. and i am not the only one that said it was a horrible tv.

Thankyou so much from Australia. I was trying to find out if my Hisense purchased on 2015 has blue tooth but your instructions on the 55inch was helpful. My Chromecast dongle is not casting to TV after my hospitalisation of 6 weeks. So frustrating
Just a note. If the TV’s Android system slows down after an update or after a while. Quick fix is to unplug the TV and let it start up again after a few seconds.

we have the TV but we keep getting Store mode out of the random. It doesn't let us disable it but only force stop it which doesn't work.
Reset the entire TV and start over with the setup.

ARC is Audio Return Channel, you are thinking CEC which sends commands through HDMI
Right! I get the two mixed together because I care more about the CEC functions when ARC is available.

I haven't tried with a Sonos (don't currently own one), but it supports ARC, its also a relatively new TV with upgrade options through software. So I'm quite sure you can have control through the ARC Enabled HDMI port. Make sure its a relatively newer HDMI cable as well though. Thanks for the sub. I don't do a lot of TVs, but if more of my audience is interested in them I'll do more.

Hi, I have the same but 65" and I'm not able to turn the Bluetooth mode on to connect speakers or headsets. The Bluetooth option is grey and not allowed to be selected. Do you know what to do?

AndroidTv is my preference by far. Also because I watch a lot of RUclips, Roku is removing support for it soon (which may be a big factor if you RUclips a lot).
Mike Mu is youtube the only app that roku is removing or aee they removing more?
Great review! does startup takes longer than the conventional tv. I heard one of the drawbacks for running Android is the lagging if the chip is not good
Yes, but you only have to do that every once in a while. Maybe monthly. Depends on what apps you use or keep running.
Thanks for review this tv. Did you notice some lag with Android system? Does it comes with a bluetooth remote? I bought a hisense roku tv and it's a IR controller.
No noticeable lag. The remote is a hybrid IR and Bluetooth. ****update**** After almost three months, the TV just shut down by itself. Had to unplug the TV and plug it back in to 'reboot.' There's part of the issue with running AndroidTV and installing apps.
Disappointed it doesn't have Bluetooth to connect a wireless headset. Atleast following the settings you went though it didn't look like it has an option. I was really digging this TV but that's one of the main reasons I wanted to get a new one.

Dear I have one problem that I can not solve, and it concerns Hisense tv? I have a model Hisense tv H43A6100 4K. I don't know where and to whom I could turn for help, because I also turned to Hisense.rs ... and their service and some other Hisense addresses around the world and NO ONE helped me !!! My problem is "parental control" ... Recently I use cable television and instead of a receiver I use a C + module card. I have a full package and I have a code from a provider with which "should" ALL channels be opened for me ?! That's where the problem arises, Hisense or does my TV not allow it ??? I have tried the card in several other TVs and with the code from the provider all the channels are open unlike my TV ?! I tried tuning, I turned off that famous parental control on TV and NOTHING ... opens channels? I reset the TV to factory settings and who knows what I haven't tried and it doesn't work, so that's ... Is there a way to solve it or not?

I thought the same thing when I bought it. Good price, decent TV and will probably last a little while. Not the reality at all though.. The wifi receiver is super slow and the remote doesn't always work. Found that my TV slowed way down and became unreaposive after just going from Netflix to hulu. Restarting/ reboots were an often occurrence cause this TV sucks so bad. I've owned it for only a year and a half and the LEDs already took a shit. I have volume but no screen and from what I looked up this is a common occurrence due to the cheap parts and poor manufacturing. Just stay far away from hisense. Spend a little more and get much more longevity.
I owned mine for like 5 months and since I'm not home most of time , so I don't use it much. I travel for 2 months and when I got back the screen shows lines allover
It hurt me cuz I spent 1.2 million buying that ( that's like 550usd)

Some are free with ads (similar to watching broadcast tv). Yes, can do cable tv, and still access other streaming services. Some will simply require you to hook up using hdmi.

I'm confused. At 4:40 you said USB may not have enough power for Chromcast. But why would yu want to plug in external Chromcast stick, if this TV has Chromcast already built in?
It's not a full chromecast that would be capable of something like the Google Stadia. But now that Google Stadia is going away with an end date of January, this may not matter as much.

Hi Eddie, I think I know what you're talking about, but I don't watch soap operas. I have not seen that effect on this TV. You might want to upgrade to the H9G for the 480 motion rate (interpolated from 120 Hz native): amzn.to/3k8Rg96

Most likely updated electronics that don’t change the specs. (Maybe to address some hardware issues, and lower cost). Expect similar performance though.

they gonna deliver it next week since was free delivery i dont know about Functionality never had this TV or Hisnese tv....BUT i bought also 75 inch U8H for $1300, thats a really awesome TV got glories reviews all over internet & utube is mini led, BUT is VERY hard to get one sold & sales like hot cakes everywhere in any size..thats also delivery next week

Thanks for the review I believe this tv is on sale at Costco for 269.99. I wanted to ask if you think it’s worth it ? I had an LG that I bought from Costco three years ago and it burned out (screen just went blue/black). Do u think this brand will be more reliable? Also the picture looks pretty decent for 269.99 for a 55” tv. Do u think this can be mounted on the wall? Would u recommend paying a bit more and getting a Sony Bravia led?
I don't believe Hisense will be more reliable. But... the displays tend to be more reliable every year in this price category. Yes, this can easily be wall mounted. And finally, most TVs in the same price range are going to give similar performance. I think a major difference though is the interface and what you prefer. One tip, buy these with the Citibank Costco Visa card, you get 3 years warranty. So if you did that with your previous TV, Citibank would cover the repair of the LG TV. Please report back and let us all know what you decide. Cheers!
@@MikeMu I actually am in the process of the Citibank refund but it’s a tough maze. The credit card will not refund with receipt, they want me to first take the tv to a local repair shop then if it can be repaired they will cover repair costs. Otherwise if it cannot be repaired they will then issue a refund only if the tv repair shop fills out a “ cannot be repaired” form. It’s a arduous process and I wish they would tell u that up front. Honestly I have gotten turned off and now with these tv’s getting more features it’s hard to know if the reliability will be there so I am looking at cheaper options that will have a fairly amazing picture and not have issues in 2-3 years. That way at least you can justify throwing it away and buying a new one if you don’t have time to deal with the warranty process. Thank you for the reply.

@@sahilsethi5871 Yes, that is the typical process and no different from any other bank card warranty that's a VISA. I can't say if its the same for Amex or not though.... Our TV is still going strong. One thing though... TV needs to be reboot every once in a while - its Android of course. That may annoy some people and it usually means unplugging the TV for a while and plugging it back in. Something you may have to do every few months.

I like the roku interface so much more. Unfortunately the roku tv's are 2x the price.
The sales come in periodically bringing them to be both about the same price (roku and Android TV) for the same class of TV. I see pros and cons to both, but prefer Android TV right now. Happy thanksgiving!

Thousands are available. But I would recommend being very selective. Spotify is most likely available.
The main limitation is processing power and memory available to install them. It is still a TV primarily.

WiFi is fine. We had an issue with the WiFi equipment during the shoot.

Would this not be easier for seniors because the voice activation? I would think the roku while simple changes too much for seniors example no number keys that they are use to
You would think that, but I know my parents wouldn't be comfortable issuing the proper commands via voice. They've had Siri for so long on their phone, but I've never once seen them use it other than when I showed them a demo.
@@MikeMu I guess it depends on how the item recognizes the voice. If it is a good search like saying “ play funny videos on you tube” I think that is simpler than trying to find the app then trying to find where to type, then typing.
Are the legs of the table able to be assembled closer together? Reason I asked is I watched another review but it doesn’t look like it can do that based on this video. Also and that my tv stand is a small desk.
HI! This model doesn't have that option, maybe the newer ones might? I know some larger TVs might. I definitely would not recommend putting this TV on a small desk though, better off mounting it on the wall if possible.

God i wish i wouldve gotten this tv, but instead i ended up with an insignia 4k uhd led smart fire tv edition. Though the sound is great, the hdr is lacking compared to this.
Why the sound on the unknown brands ir not really up there brand sound qua sound better? I have a elite "beyond limits yes a cheap 1080p tv and the sound sound better than the au8000 crystal uhd

Yes it is. Mostly that its just bigger. All around slightly improved version. Viewing off-angle suffers a bit but still acceptable (according to Rtings). How much are you getting it for or planning on getting it for?

@@judgementday7107 Yes, you can hack it. But... I really think if you do that you're better off with a plug-in stick of some sort. The 4 GB storage is really limiting, as is the processing power.

It does not. Even if you side load it probably wouldn’t be worth using. But I have not tried.

Yes, I've done that to the TV. Nothing beats a straight up HDMI cable in though.

Its possible, but without a touch screen probably not the best experience. I wouldn't do it. In my case, I can simply plug my Samsung using DEX ( amzn.to/3jAMdhm ) to get everything I need - like a computer on my TV. Or get an Nvidia shield ( amzn.to/2ZWd2oh ), If I do in a future TV, I'd pick on with more powerful processors and storage.
I'm curious what you would run on the TV that you can't already download using their system?
@@MikeMu Hi. I have an android tv box that was connected to my old smart tv that got damaged. I bought the H65 to replace it and also to lessen the clutter. My wife uses an app called America TvGo to watch programs from Peru. I was able to download the APK to my smartphone and then transfer it to this TV using a file transfer app. I was able to run the TV app but it didn't function normally so I now have connected the android tv box to this TV. But thanks anyway for your reply

Right. You should start with the Game mode for that port. Then adjust as necessary in the picture settings. I'd choose HDMI enhanced (if it isn't already for the port setup).

I'll see about it. Honestly, it will pass for casual viewing. I wouldn't consider it for a serious home theatre setup in a controlled environment. This is a budget 4k TV after all, but surprisingly good as a secondary / bedroom TV.
