Great lists! It definitely sparked some interest for us! =) Keep doing what you guys do! We love your channel!
Thanks for the kind words!
Great lists guys! Enjoyed the vid. A LOT of crossover with my personal favorite games of all time.
I was surprised to see ARCS hit the list already being it’s so new, but I absolutely agree that it is an INCREDIBLE game! Can’t wait to review it on our channel as well.

Talking Cardboard
Thanks for listening, Cory! Check in next week for a deep dive of Arcs where you'll find that it's starting to lose it's luster a bit and might not stay at the top...
Solid lists. Always great to listen to you guys talk about games. Having listened since your first podcast I definitely think that Chris’ tastes seem to have changed the most. I’m so pleased that Fox in the Forest didn’t make your list Tim!! 😅 Adam Arcs is the game I’m most interested in playing right now, would be great to hear how you feel about it after more plays. Thanks again.
Hah! As long as I don't explain it, right?! Adam and I have been playing a decent amount of Arcs this week and I think we're going to be discussing it on the episode we record tonight so next Monday's episode we'll dive pretty deep.
Glad to see Ankh make a top ten! It’s a great and underrated game that plays really well at two (I haven’t played it at more, so haven’t had to deal with the merge mechanism).
It's a really fascinating mechanism and I'd recommend trying it at 3 or 4 at some point to see it in action.
@@BoardGameHotTakes I’ve always thought it was an interesting mechanism and I don’t know why it gets so much hate. To my knowledge no other game does this so why it can’t be appreciated as an innovative catch up mechanism is curious to me. I am looking forward to trying Ankh at 3 or 4 someday.
voidfall is my number 1, but i love exlips too. (voidfall is more strategic, exlipse is more event and more luck) I played voidfall already 20 times so you can play it often 😅 it shines competitive at 3 players
Awesome! I'm only 6 or so games in and it's still been exciting for me every game also. I think I've only played it at 3 players so far.
I wonder if there will be any space 4x games on this list
Hello guys. Just found your podcast and are listening to your top 40. Good work! I really like that you give your honest opinion on why a game has lost it´s luster, don´t appeal to you or perhaps why you don´t grock it. A game can be a masterpiece but just not for you.
Glad you're enjoying the show! Thanks for joining us!
13:20 HAHAHAHAHA! I love how Adam loves these heavy games but when it comes to COB....he's like Frozen Caveman Lawyer where he just doesn't understand it. I wish I could make a thematic version that involved ducks, outer space colonies, and economic classes and Adam would be an instant smitten kitten! :D :D
LOLOLOL - I love this! Yes! What the heck???
Yeah...another list you guys could do that tied in with what you are were talking about is a top 11 games that you just get excited to show someone else and/or play. You *know* that feeling where when a game gets suggested: you're just giddy about it.
Big mismatch with my taste 🙂 I got Brian Boru, and have backed the new edition of Cyclades.
It's great that there are so many different games for so many different tastes! What's your number 1 game?
Thanks for the vid (just fYI, the chapter markers and titles start getting way off, beginning with Lorenzo and moving forward).
Thanks for letting me know - I thought I had them all correct last night. I'll check it out and get them fixed.
Just tested them out and they all seem to be working correctly for me! Sorry you had issues with them.
@@BoardGameHotTakes Strange. OK.
Great list... except for the vastly overrated Distilled at WOW such a high position It's too long for what it is AND it's the same game every time.
I don't think any of us have played a game of it that felt too long EXCEPT the one time when I was teaching someone new that just needed their hand held through every phase. Maybe it depends on the players you're playing with or just how much fun we all have when we're playing the game and don't mind the length. In any case, it didn't show up on 2 of our 3 lists so I guess we'd also agree with you that Chris had it too highly rated :)
