Miles was a superb company; their fall from the potentially first supersonic jet (not an air-launched rocket as in USA) the MB52, to selling ball point pens (that often flooded) in the late forties was so sad.

Great little airplane. Looks like it would have been a very useful aircraft. Too bad the manufacturer wasn't successful. Very enjoyable and interesting video. Thank you for posting.

Just too early, in this time of expensive fuel, it seems it could be more effective.@@talesfromthehutandhangar

What a 'cute' little airplane. Just right for dropping off equipment to oil fields. Not to mention, sneaking in military advisors and equipment in Korea.

Excellent video of an excellent plane. It's so sad that this aircraft was no longer produced. You would be the best selling man of she.

I seem to recall that the first time I came across this aircraft was in Nevil Shute's excellent novel - Round the bend.

I recall as a very young lad seeing a pair of Aerovans on a new Zealand airfield they had been trialled by the RNZAF and later operated privately one was destroyed when it was flipped by wind while parked outside a hangar neither were used for spreading fertilizer

Very interesting and cute looking practical machine. I wonder if there are plans to make them out of balsa for RC, it would for sure be an interesting project. Thx for putting this together and sharing! (just subscribed!)

Perfect, aeroplane right now, but it was ready to bail out
Can you imagine such a great idea and nobody having the foresight to see how good this aircraft was. I know that this aircraft must’ve been the forerunner to the Beverly transport and the Arcos, which although had a different design at the back with a twin tail was very similar to this because it had this caravan type cabin and storage.
I think the idea was stolen from this particular aircraft and as a boy in the 60s are used to watch flying across an Argos transport fine across the countryside carrying freight I can’t help but think that they stole the idea from this aeroplane

Could you place the tech specs and details on screen? Sometimes it's not super easy to understand your voice.

Fair point l have recently started putting the details up on the screen as a pain reading them out.
