In the first option I made each cell square, so I just went off of feet, but you can use any measurement you want. Excel Draw uses cell values, so, again, any measurement you want.
Great! Just a question, why is the boarder included? Surely one only accept boarders -- "people who live, eat and sleep in your house and pay to do so" -- once the house has been built and one has moved into it? You crossed the border into confusion LOL
I guess this only works if you have excel draw... but even without excel draw... it is still possible to use excel to draw in cad... by writing script in excel and then pasting it in cad command line... anyway this already helps since you can already see the plan without having cad...
The boarders of cells can be created under the Home tab in Excel. Excel Draw is an add-in that can be acquired at our website: www.graytechnical.com/exceldraw/
This is perfect for me. I need to do low budget cad work but also need a way of calculating areas from other areas (windows from walls and roofs) quickly. Can areas be calculated with the s pen in this software with help from the ink to shape feature? That's exactly what I need I think. 🤔 I'm a ber assessor.
Thank you very much! We are currently working on Excel Draw v4, which has many new features including some with scale and dimensions. We will be releasing a video within the following weeks about it.
What Excel you have there? Mine is Excel 2013 only, I don't have the "Excel Draw" icon or command, I use only "insert" to create a drawing on my worksheet, the good thing there on your Excel Draw is you can tilt or rotate and if we want to correct or amend something it will automatically change. I hope I can get answer from you, thank you very much
Excel Draw works on all versions of Excel from 2007 up. You will need to purchase Excel Draw from the link in the description and install it to have the tab appear.
@@gray-technical Partitioned my hard drive and now I have Windows OS on my Macbook just so I can get to use Excel Draw but before purchasing I would like to get a better understanding. I have had a look at the Video tutorials but I would like to ask how you would make it to scale and what units would you use best for measurments?
Measurement types are irrelevant in Excel Draw. Excel Draw does not look at numbers as measurements in any format. A number is just a number. A 3 could be 3 inches, 3 meters, 3 feet, 3 miles or 3 kilometers. As long as every object in the same drawing is the same scale, then everything will equal out. As always, we ask our customers to first try our trial versions before purchasing the full version. The trial allows up to 15 objects being graphed and limited export. Give the trial a test run and see if it fits your needs.

Excel Draw removes the need for AutoCAD. AutoCAD can do a lot of great things, but for the price point, most people dont use everything it offers.

How to draw continued pencil line ...🙏🙏🙏🙏
Please explain. Do you want a tutorial on how to use the pen tool, or do you want a video on how to create a floor plan with the pen tool?
what do you recommend using in excel to do a magazine layout?
Not Excel. You will need to use a publication application, like indesign or quark.
