Great idea! However, Don't put your monitor (metal : electronics) in front of your antenna. Decreases range (bye drone!) also look into a $10-25 atenna amplifyer (cheaper copper parabolic) or even a bigger antenna for better range. Just be careful putting stuff in front of your atenna, like metal and electronics. Distorts the wave pattern of signal trying to go out.

Will I like your videos Just got my first drone. Phantom 2 2.0 love it. In doing my you tube research I came across drone racing where they wear FPV glasses. Those things do about 100 mph. Have you seen it. You could almost practice in your apartment Tom
should of just bought a black pearl....1/4 of the weight of that set up and looks way cleaner.... plus has a diversity receiver...and they have mounts that just clamp onto the back handle....for less than 200
my concern with this is all that extra bulk is surley gonna cause some fatigue with extended use, i dont know how heavy it all is, but it is set quite far forward. do you have some kind of brace to support it in use?

Hobbyking make a transmitter mount which can fit onto most controllers to hold monitors. Very cheaply.
