Lilliput has a released a new model. 339DW which has a 1280x800 ips led with 400cd/m2 brightness screen. Comes with built in battery with battery indicator, timer and wireless signal indicator as well. It also has options for external battery bracket for the various DSLR batteries and has HDMI input and earphone jack.

get the Long Range Mushroom Antenna and Long Range Panel Antenna this will help a lot.
and the bad video is from the osd part, switch to the reg video and will look great.
you can also use pnp to have both videos on same screen.
I disagree with your conclusions. Lilliput has the removable battery tray becaus eyou have the option of using any of the different battery types, or no battery at all. And when youre using an external 7-30v (2-7S) battery you can completely remove the battery tray AND the base to save weight and space.. Plus youre using the worst possible antennas, Plus the lilliput ONLY uses diversity in channels A and D. Where you in A or D?
All that aside though, the video itself was very well put together. I'm subscribing. i like the way you did this.
Also, id love to see a modern video with modern budget monitors. The tech has to be better now than it was 7 years ago.
So much money into FPV and still using stock antennas? just buy a set of cloverleaf, and since your monitors have diversity built in my advice is to go with a omni antenna (cloverleaf) and a directional antenna at the same time, that would give you more range and way better reception than the stock antennas.
Black Pearl monitor here, I wish it was easier to see in on Sunny days and I wish it had DRV. But for the money, it's hard to complain.

Will, Have you ever thought hounding two transmitters on either side on the phantom for better signal range on the flysight? Also, it would be cool to see the footage from both the gopro and the OSD when you fly.
Will, did you ever do the antenna shootout? Cannot find it on youtube.
Was the increase image stability just from balanced blades or did you change something else out? Those shots looked smooth and great.
Godd review, but when you were outside you don't need the music in the background. A bit hard to hear and understand you explaining things with that in the background. Yes, you do need to put some clover leaf antenna on there.
Soundtrack to this entire video was quite... Bad, not something I'd listen to, but apart from that great insightful video
Hey thanks for the review! Would you recommend any of these to be used for fpv racing? I would like to mount this on my radio while I race. I tried goggles, but I didn't like the idea of being completely blind in my immediate environment. Thanks in advance!

Hi . I just got a black Pearl for an older p2 , I dont seem to have the onscreen display but I do have the image , can you tell me how i get the onscreen info on the black pearl , altitude / distance , what am I doing wrong?
Hi Will, I'm in the middle of setting up a back seat 7" monitor with Partom 5.8G transmitter and receiver. Could you tell me any down falls by doing this instead of just buying the monitor-receiver in ONE? Thx Kazz
Do you have any thoughts on the ReadyMadeRC camera RMRC-420N as to how it might compare to a gopro?

The real problem with the Black Pearl is the LiPo battery. If you forget to remove it from the monitor and don't charge it for months it dies. Forever.
I discovered it was a LiPo too late :(

I know you said that you aren't that experienced with the radio frequencies (yet) so im guessing that you don't know about cross polarisation because i noticed that while you were comparing the two displays the antennas were in different positions to one another. Im not sure what your using to transmit the signal from the multi copter so this might not apply but i thought that i would give you the info anyway as you seem to be very active with the comments of your videos.

#1 seller on Amazon is not a great indicator, it is not a quality supplier and has zero tech help about fpv. The Walmart of tech, these are mostly rebranded..
that looks like shit, just buy a phantom 3 pro or phantom 4 and use a damn iPad.
