      Good luck with your tractor. A couple of things. Do you have the 540 size of pto? Some tractors come with 1000 speed shafts. Are your hydraulic outlets the same as anything else? Make sure your hydro line off the lift on your wagon, the one that you used to move waste on another episode fits. Keep plenty of fluid around, you always lose a little when you disconnect it. Kinda neat steering wheel. I did a lot of farming standing up on our A.

    I purchased the L3560LE it was missing the same two switches. I just installed the cruse control switch. It took about 4 minutes. Now I ordered the switch that goes under seat. Again the connector is there. Another easy install. I also got it with cab. I live in Florida and it gets hot out there mowing. So the A/C is Great. Also installed a radio. Again everything was there just plug and play. Had all the speakers and antenna there already. Sooo with you the best of luck with your new toy. 👍

    I got mine about 2 weeks ago and already transformed about an acre of dirt using a box blade and loader. This tractor has a lot of power for 40 hp. I am impressed. Have only 10 hours on mine but have done a ton of work.

      John, a few months back I traded my 2018 B2650 in on my 2021 L3560HSTC with LA805. The difference is beyond what I can describe. You can go look at my videos too see what kind of work I was trying to force my B2650 to do, but I finally blew the rear end last year and called it done.

  • @earthbreaker
    @earthbreaker 3 года назад +1

    You made the right choice.. Two months ago I traded off a deere similar in size with 80 hours on it for a kubota. At least kubotas you can work on it without all the computer monopoly deere currently has. Plus right now.. you can get more attachments for a kubota which is more universal... Deere, some things only a deere item will fit it. I also have a deere zero turn z830A that is getting traded in for a kubota zero turn. One thing you did not mention... A metal hood is easier to touchup or paint than a plastic hood.

    My MX5400 has the fill point on top of the hood. I like it there because I can't puncture the fuel tank. I use a inexpensive transfer pump that pumps the fuel from a 5 gal jug to the fill port.

    Nice tractor. I seriously considered a l4060 but the loader hydraulic hookups being left out in the open and vulnerable along with the dislike of the treadle pedal was deal breakers for me. What I really wanted was a frame size of the l3901 but the features of the Grand l4060 but Kubota don't offer it so I ended up with the JD 3039r. I don't think you can go wrong with iether brand when it comes to quality and reliability.

    I am hopefully buying an L4060 HSTC-LE this week. Two questions I an trying to get answered, Throttle up on the joystick, does it have it, and HST Response Control. Considering it is the HST-Plus, I would assume the latter, but want to confirm. The tractor is at another location so haven't been able to test it out yet. Originally ordered an L4060 HSTC, but delivery is unknown, and the LE just came in.

    • @HumbleAcres
      @HumbleAcres  3 года назад

      Yes it has throttle up button on the joystick. Yes it has HST Response Control adjusted via the display.

    Never used a kubota but the john deere I used (dont know the model but fairly new) had super touchy hydraulics and it was pretty much impossible to gently move the bucket. Wasn’t real impressed with that aspect of it, I’d bet the kubota is smoother

  • @tsafa

    I don't like the way they put the third function quick adapter on your front loader. When I work, that's spot has had all sorts of stuff fall back on it, that is why they put a cover plate over the hydraulic pipes.
    You're not going to need the block heater. The temperature by Migos two- 10 and the tractor starts off with the glow plugs. Maybe at -30 you might need the block heater. Don't use it unless you need it because it's going to drive your electric bill up a lot. Just put some anti-gel in your fuel.

    • @HumbleAcres
      @HumbleAcres  3 года назад +1

      I haven't had any problems with the quick connect yet but we will see. The manual states the block heater will assist in starting your tractor at temps below -20C or -4F. I also thing warming the coolant is always better for starting an engine anyway. Thanks for the comments!

    Hey Bud, I'm happy for you that you were able to get a new ride for the field! I am not a huge fan of Kubota and that's primarily because I have seen so many things gone wrong with the ones in our rental fleet. However, for personal use, The tractor should hold up much better! First thing to know is that this unit probably has the emission burn off system. make sure that you do the process for burning off, usually this is operating at high idle for a certain amount of time. Second thing to note. I would consider putting quick-tach couplers on your front hydraulic system to make it compatible with other attachments such as bobcat - augers, 4 in 1 bucket etc. Not too hard to do, little expense but worth it. What I have found is that for some reason the hydraulic lines have a bad tendency to leak after you remove and put back on an attachment such as the grapple bucket. One last thing that I would do is this, I am sure that you probably have some kind of maintenance package with the dealership you bought it from, but it would be a good idea to go ahead and get a complete set of filters and maintenance items. On our MX4800 about every 400 hours it wants hydraulic filters. Air filters are important too!! And don't forget about greasing the zerks. I have had more pens bust in the field because it was not greased correctly. Anyways - you've got this! look forward to all of the work around the place.

    I have been going round and round about which tractor to buy. It's between the 4701 and the l 4060 like yours. Basically I need mine for mowing after the rains and I have a hilly area. Did it for years with the 32 or 3 horsepower but it's time to step up. Is that seat a suspension seat it looks like it? They're telling me here in California they're no longer available but they're not giving me a discount. They are at about 38,000 with a scraper a loader and a 72 in rotary mower. I've gone to three or four different dealers in an amazing meeting that all the items in their columns are not the same. Their part numbers are different some stuff's over here some stuff's over there it's pretty hard to compare even though I'm only asking for three implements. Anyway I think yours probably cost a little more than the one I'm looking at but we shall see. Thanks for the video

    • @HumbleAcres
      @HumbleAcres  3 года назад +1

      I was also looking at the 4701. And for the longest time thought that was the one I was going to buy. Then the 4060 le came out and is roughly the same price. I am very glad I went with the 4060le. It has some nice features the 4701 doesn’t have. Yes it has a suspension seat.

    Well I'm going to have to unsubscribe. That's it you did it. Omg a Kubota really come on. Of all the things to do. What were you thinking, well you pointed out the reasons and what you were thinking but really that's no excuse. They were good reasons and I agree I like tin better and yeah easier to fill up but but well that's it I'm done finished. Okay I'll stay the tractor has to go though after all it's not a American built hmm well dont think any are, parts come all over the world. John Deere it's a German tractor and yeah the small ones have the Yammar Japan engines. The only thing I see I think you will find in time it's to small. But for the time being your choice your money you made a good decision nice. Have a good day.
