I think you need to check the L47 spec sheet again. Lifting capacity is 2,848lbs, not 4,800lbs. Perhaps you mixed it up with the 4,531lb breakout force. Appreciate the comparison though.
Having owned both an L4701 and an L47 TLB, I agree with the other comment that an L4701 could have been a better comparison. I guess the customer asking the question is only looking at the similar tire size.

The attraction to the TBL series for us Ag people is the shorter base, the swivel seat and the creep function, especially if your digging a 150’ long trench. Why can’t somebody incorporate those qualities into a Ag tractor instead of telling us “what we don’t want” and then going on to describe a better tractor. I would never take my loader off. I might take the bucket off to use another implement... and if the backhoe still comes off - more easily yet! I don’t want to drag around a “ Siamese twin” when there’s a shorter length backhoe neatly tucked in back there that I can use to brace myself with or use to pull myself out of trouble with.
You’re brilliant Kubota but if you’re steering a mob away from a product maybe you’re overlooking a potential market!

I had a B21 and traded up to the Grand L35 with everything on it ! Then I broke everything on it ! (Not a work machine) Then I bought another B21 and never looked back. But when I get a new Kubota it will be the L47 ! Seriously on the Grand L35 I broke the loader bucket, curling pistons, I cracked the woods backhoe too ! The only thing it did good was brush hogging and only because it had A/C.

I own a L4701 best choice- especially when you need to move large trees and large rocks..

It's interesting how the TLB is portrayed as being less useful than a comparable Ag tractor. I can't really say that it's anymore difficult to remove one subframe backhoe vs another since they both require little to no sweat equity to remove and install. Would actually say it's much easier to remove and install on the L47 using the crawl mode while sitting and facing the backhoe. It does kind of chafe that for the money you only net 33 pto horsepower but the tradeoff seems to be the hydraulic power the machine brings to the table. Having grown up using older equipment with permanently mounted loaders and dual joysticks my opinion is that the sloped arms are a huge advantage and you can always drop the bucket to get some visibility and space. The 3pt setup is pretty straightforward to install and remove, the lower arms are retained with pins that bolt into the casting with a 15mm bolt, everything else is hitch pin to connect. The availibilty of the triple rear remotes is a huge advantage for so many reasons. Top and tilt plus a spare for whatever you may need, consider a box blade with hydraulically actuated scarifiers. Possible negatives would be it's heavy, probably 2x the weight of the L3901 but at the same time that extra weight gives you superior traction when performing ground engaging tasks. The canopy and FOPS/ROPS are tall, you won't be able to get under low hanging trees or limbs but it's nice to sit under out of the sun. It's still a tractor at heart, just a beefed up bulkier version with alot of emphasis on lift capacity and material handling but it will handle 3pt implements just as well as any comparable Ag tractor. To wrap it up think of it as a Swiss army knife, a tool for every situation. Expensive but worth it when you need it.

I own a B21 and an L47, and I would never consider any farm tractor unless I truly needed the extra PTO hp for farming implements. Most of my activities are construction or landscaping activities where the loader, backhoe, and box blade rules the roost. Brush hog HP isn't important to me since I have lots of trees, so a big zero turn mower is faster than anything else could every be. Nothing breaks on these Kubota TLB's and they just work well beyond their size. I will also say I considered selling the B21 when I bought the L47, but I am glad I didn't. The platforms are just too different in size such that there are many tasks requiring the B21 and others when only the L47 will do the job.

Why does USA get the 4701 but in Australia we only get the poverty pack L4600? So many extra features but no options in Australia.

I don't think you have all the emission controls like North America, which would keep the costs down for Australia but the trade off is miss out on some of the new tractors/implements

I'm interested in the L47 myself but unsure if it fits my needs. I own 20 acres, 10ac pasture grass land that I intend to cut and bale once per year and occasionally plow or level in small sections to restore the drainage. I'm wanting to till and row an acre of garden space per year. I have about 4000ft of creek and ditch lines to maintain and 10 acres of steep forest land with logging roads to maintain and new ones to build. Not sure if I should just get a mini excavator and tractor ro just L47 also I need to be able to lift 2200lbs off a semi trailer too. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Its really going to come down to budget, & time allocation for the job. A tractor & excavator is going to get the jobs done quicker but cost more for a pair of machines. Can't really go wrong with the L47 as its going to accomplish the projects you've mentioned. Thanks for watching

if the tractor does not leave your property if in doubt always go a size bigger ! and yes a mini excavator is so much nicer ..... BUT that KX57 is a lot of $$$$$. and you need a healthy tractor with a huge front end loader anyway ... so you end up buying a L47 TL without the B .... save around 10 grand or so just to spend much more than 50 on a mini ex ..... if you have the time and pertinence to mess around with a backhoe ... and you want to save 40+g ... just get one machine

better off going with a grand L or M series tractor in my opinion, the L47 is a construction tractor not really meant for farming. You will get way more of want you want with either the grand L or M series tractors.

Kinda shocked there is no mention of the fact that the L47’s loader is not removable.

If you are considering the L4701, for a little more in cost get the MX5400.

We haven't stocked the L4701 in a few years just for that reason, no knock against the L4701 the MX is just a better buy for the money

@@HuckabonesEquipment yeah it sure is great kubotas has the TLBs wich deeres dont any more wich deere 43hp 110 when they were selling was kinda rediculas of $100,000 wich seemed overpriced for a small 43hp wich no wounder kubota took it over and kubota tlbs are way cheaper and affordable

if a guy comes in and wants an L47 and you sell him an l3901 .... the guy is ill advised ...the cheaper HST in the 3901 sucks ... the trestle pedal in the 3901 sucks, the loader controls not he 3901 are not nearly as nice and lifting capacity .... hets not eve talk about it .... there is no way in hell that you unload a palette of pre mixed converse or run any meaningful attachments on the front .... and the backhoe? not even close in comparison .... I a so glad that last minute I upgraded from a 3901 to a 4060 ..... at least .... I wish I could have gotten an l47 ... but the 8 month lead time vs take it home tomorrow ... was the deal breaker for me ...
