Now THIS is the ONLY video that truly gives ALL the answers I (and probably you, too!) was looking for. Solution 1 hit the spot . Thank you very much for this upload!
Thank this video! I watched like 3 prior and none of them could help. How many years has it been, does the programming for Word change all that much? Seriously... I had to change the actual paragraph spacing (3rd step) and set it to 0, because it wasn't apparently set, not even to auto. Windows continued to disproportion the document, thinking that after a table it should randomly insert an undetectable page with no formation. Is this not ridiculous, haha. I think it's "working as intended".
Yes, instead of selecting the page in the Navigation tab, the blank page, then hit the DELETE key, and it's done ... NOPE! Why? ... because Microsoft twisted logic, that's why!
omg after months of not being able to figure out how to get rid of the blank page at the bottom of my page this is the only one that finally worked! thank you!
Thanks for your amazing trick Sir. I got stuck somewhere in word and unable to delete the blank page but your trick help me to make my work easy. Thanks a lot.
One of most helpful computer advice videos I have seen..thanks so much for talking slowly, clearly and adding in a few tips I never knew..the square brackets trick etc!
Thank you so much! You sir, saved my precious time! Dear God ... I HATE Microsoft programmers and their really bizarre and twisted logic! Instead of selecting the blank page in the Navigation tab, then hit the DELETE key, and it's done ... NOPE! Microsoft says "No, it's way more complicated than that." Why? Because "logic" ladies, and gentlemen! ... Microsoft's logic! The method with the ruler worked for me ... FINALLY! After 30 minutes of research: on the Help page, but also on the Internet and on RUclips to, finally find your video!
I don’t understand all these other people claiming to be an expert on Microsoft word document when they’re not, I’ve been on RUclips since only God knows when, before God directed me to this guiding Angel .😇 The first method worked for me. THANK YOU IN A MILLION TIMES.
After listening to you for 10 minutes I did not learn how to do what I had asked. I had done a book in word so certainly can't go changing settings, font sizes, etc. Just wanted to know how to delete a page. I did learn that you just like to hear yourself talk.
What a very rude comment. I don't quite know why you felt it necessary to make personal criticisms. I did not charge you for the video, but made it freely available, and hundreds of thousands of people have previously found it extremely useful. Perhaps if you had been more pleasant I would have offered some additional advice. Maybe there is a lesson in there somewhere?
Thank you! I was able to remove the blank page in Google Docs by reducing the font on the entire document! It would be awesome if Microsoft and Google came up with a new feature to make page deletion a one-click selection.
When you define the margins, fonts and other variables prior to making a document, why does this oddity occur. There must be an inherent issue is all versions of Word. It happens in almost every version. I am using 2016 and it still has the same issues after defining page. Is it template related? This is just another frustrating present built-in to Word. Thanks for the tutorial.
One more option, the simplest of all, is to just select the hang over line and reduce the font size to the smallest you can, 4. Make sure you select the line and not just click there. It should show as a small width and height. This basically allows the hangover line to fit onto the previous page. Another related way is to be sure there is no spacing after the last paragraph. If so, just change the characteristics of the last paragraph. In the video above, you can see that there is defined spacing after the paragraph that could be eliminated.
I tried all 4 options and I still have a blank page at the end of my document in Word 2016, any other suggestions? I'm pulling my hair out! I'm using a lot of formatting, with continuous section breaks at the end of my document and it's creating a blank page, but if I delete the section break my section text moves to the next page and I still have the blank page, I've tried reducing the font and spacing to 1 and making sure there's no space above or below, nothing is working! HELP!!
If you by any chance are working on two column page, this rather exquisite method ,doesn't seems to be working like it should. Nevertheless in my opinion Thank you. though for the effort to explain
+joytekb Most of these methods should work even if you're using columns. If not, try changing the two columns back to one, trying these techniques, and once you've got rid of the extra page, then format the text back to two columns.
Didn't solve my problem unfortunately but perhaps that was because my document is a table and nothing else? Great video tho' - really clear and well explained :) Thanks
Thank you! I got it with the ruler feature. Step 1. I pulled up rather than down and the blank disappeared. I spent all day trying to upload a cover page front and back for createspace.
AMAZING! After a couple of hours of trying ALL the things other people had shown, yours is the video that actually had the solutions.
I'm so glad it helped!

It's ridiculous that deleting a blank page is this complicated and non-intuitive.
+Pieter Marres agreed! Hope it helped solve it for you.
