Yorkies are my favorite small dog breed. We are considering getting another dog soon and it will probably be a traditional Yorkshire Terrier. We considered a Biewer but the Biewer breeders have been quite a turnoff or have ben insanely overpriced. Yes, they charge what the market bears but people are finding other breeds in the DNA of some Biewer breeders now. What a shame, the Biewer is a beautiful dog but the fact that it has been pushed into being a separate breed has seen more and more other small breeds being "secretly" mixed in. The Biewer was born from known Yorkie breeders with traditional Yorkie looking siblings and should fall under the Yorkshire Terrier breed. They simply should be recognized the same way a Chocolate, Yellow or Black Labrador dog is recognized. The pricing for Biewer's are totally out of control and if the new Biewer breeders continue experimenting with the breed, they will ruin the breed they claim to be promoting.
I got a yorkie when he was 13 yr old! He is black and silver 6 lbs! Of cuteness all over💕💕💕 he is 15 and still so precious to me

I have a KB yorkie and he is 100% yorkie and black not a mix
you're forgetting that the AKC has recognized Biewer and parti yorkies as full bred and they do not have the " traditional" coloring
