Hey man quick question about the net which make is it and what nets do you look for when steelheading??
Rising net. If I had to do it all over again I should’ve gone with a $40 net over a $200+ net
still have zero steelhead in my life but I hope I can change that
You’ll figure it out. Once you catch your first it’ll be easy fishing afterwards
@@PUMPKNOWSFISHING oh it is 100% like that. For me it was like that when I caught my first chinook salmon now I have caught 6 in my life since 2019. I lost an opportunity with the steelhead when I had a hit at the mouth of the Ganny so maybe soon I will get on my first.
Mannn do I miss this place!, my old stomping grounds, first place I got my bow from lol
Nice catches there. That little video at the end ??? WOW Scary
Fished that river as a kid. Never seen anything like that rush of water near the end of the video. Scary
Killin it! Im probably still ice fishing by then. So many from a pressured community hole, good stuff man
I wish I was still ice fishing. Too cold to be wading in that water…haha
Nice catch pump you catch them all,be careful for ice age meltdown lol...
Pump likes to live life dangerously.
I gotta be more careful these days. You never know what can happen in these situations
Thank you for sharing this video!
Finally got out today, and caught myself a huge carp down at Humber Bay.
Sweet. Can’t wait to target those guys next
That’s some good fishin 👍🏼
Fishing got better a few days after once the ice chunks below got washed out. They must’ve been blocking all the fresh fish from swimming up river
Used to be a sand bar where you were standing back when I was fishing the OM. That shelf ice is nasty and so is the ice chunks on shore, you can go through them and get hurt. Thankfully it’s all gone now except the suckers are in plentiful.
I believe Adrian i was there last thursday afternoon, everybody catch sucker, they're all big size as well...I'm sorry Adrian i was there last Wednesday afternoon not Thursday...
@@greatfishinglife-jovenmana9291 I remember going there probably 20 years ago and those pools were loaded with suckers. I’m talking couple of hundred in there. Every drift would hook a fish.
@@truenorthangler agree with you maybe same thing at this time loaded of sucker i got three sucker that time in less than 40mins.even 2feet water you can see the fish a bit upper that pool...that time sign for me to stop casting and fishing, other guy said no steelhead the day...
Yea I had to spud my way to access the water. You’d think it’s just solids ice but there were some deep gaps in some of them that you can’t see due to the snow on the surface. Always gotta be careful
Is it salmon?! Can I take it with me or do I need a permit (license)? It's delicious!!!
A certain Fishing license required to keep.
Steelhead rainbow trout. You need a fishing license to fish and keep them
Dang that's crazy. Good day fishing and good call on the plan to abort. Stay safe
Yea it wasn’t worth risking my life for some fish. Shit could go south real fast if you’re not paying attention
i met you in the river XD
I’ll see you again out there
Great catch as usual... Stay safe my friend
Stay safe out there 👍
