Since this is a 2D game and you can’t move in depth, you can’t stand on the shell of it anyways. So you’re just standing on more still blocks behind the shell but you can’t see it.
The one that gets me is that carryable items are simultaneously both light enough to allow the player to do full size jumps while carrying them, and yet heavy enough to jump off of mid-air and have the player go up not just send the item rocketing downward. At the very least they should fall faster after having been jumped off of but they don't seem to, maybe this could be in a myth episode?

Hey smashy, on #24 there is a reason to this. Nintendo did something with the bulletblasters when you put enemies or anything that can go in one. The black ones shoot the object closer and makes the speed slower while the red ones shoot it further and make the object faster
My theory is that POW blocks have a hallow inside, which is why so many can stack on Mario,why he floats when holding one, and why they don’t activate p switches.

Yoshi can’t eat Boos even in NSMBU (Baby Yoshis could eat Boos in that game.) A block destroyed by a Bob-omb counts as being hit from underneath (This is especially noticeable with Thwomps because they don’t die to Bob-omb explosions) Pokies make sand trails out of nowhere. Spike Balls thrown by Spikes float in SMB1 and 3. Climbing Vines doesn’t trigger invisible blocks. Big Lava Bubbles have surprisingly small hitboxes (This is really obvious if it comes from a Block) Swinging Claws can change objects falling off of tracks into solid objects.
