- Spoilers ahead for anyone that hasn't played the game.
Unknown to many, there's more to Inscryption's story than some may think. Figured I'd do my own recap now that Kaycee's mod is completed and the story has reached its end for now. If you're interested in even more to the story, I'd recommend checking out the other games made by Daniel Mullins and their ARGs.
If you enjoyed the video, remember to like and subscribe for more content. Going to be sticking to more videos surrounding games for the future.

Yes I know it's Poe, not P03.
Leshy’s final game actually choked me up. After all his absolute bullying of me in Act 1, him giving me back my winning deck and playing with me, complimenting how great I played, made me feel almost distraught that he was being deleted.
During Act 1, I had gotten so mad at losing a run I named a Death Card “Damn You Leshy”. Guess what was the final card I pulled during that sequence.
I still miss Leshy :(
And the others but mostly Leshy
Dude it made me so sad
I genuinely liked Grimora 😭
I wish there was more to the game. I fell in love with it, and was thinking "what if the robot (forgot his name) had some type of redemption? What if we had more phases of the game? The game was never released because of tragic events, what if you teamed up to fight the real reason why the game was the way it was?" It left me wanting more.
I have only just realized that that the bone structure in the Bone Lords room in act 2 is supposed to be Hitlers reamins with the original Karnoffel Code in his chest pocket
i had been wondering about that
So like, what, is this LITERALLY Hitler’s body, digitized? Or is it the OLD_DATA trying AS HARD as it can to spread?
People call Inscryption a horror game, and I always thought of it as just a game with a dark atmosphere. But seeing some of the things that can happen if you go through the ARG, like the Bone Lord replacing Leshy or the S T O P , those people might be onto something.
It's horror, but more of the cosmic kind. It's what you don't know that scares you. Inscryption speaks of the Devil being responsible for everything, and as a Christian it sends shivers down my spine.
Excellent video!
I dunno what's more impressive -- Mullins for designing all this, the fans for figuring it out so thoroughly, or this guy for making it so digestible
Answer: all of them
Definitely Mullins

Game: "Stop"
Aechbishop Wex: So continuing deeper into the ARG that Luke also dived into before his demise...
…And we thought the older games had harder to figure out and understand lore messages.
Mullins must have spent more time organizing this, then actually developing the game.
This is so helpful. I’m a VERY casual gamer but I had the best time with Inscryption and wanted to know more. I NEVER would have figured this out. Thank you for this video (and to all who dug through code and in the forest to figure it all out)!
Lol this is amazing, incredible what people manage to figure out when they all work together. You've put together a clear and concise documentary, good job!
This was a seriously well done video why is it so underrated
Daniel Mullen isnt just playing Chess at this point. He’s playing “The Campaign for North Africa”
i finished inscryption yeaterday, this is a brilliant game, and this is a great video that easy to comprehend. now i want the whole 3d battles with grimora and magnificus😭
Huh. Person [2b] mentions 11 o'clock in that polish bit of dialogue (here around 22:00). It's also one of the times used to open the cuckoo clocks doors in act 1, 3, and Kaycee's mod. I don't think this has any significant connections other than it being a coincidence but I found it kinda neat.
interesting!
I don’t think it is a coincidence. I think Daniel Mullins intentionally designed a lot of things to be weirdly aligned. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was the OLD_DATA making up things based on the data available to it; such as an encrypted chat log.
My favorite bit of this game throught the arg and the game is when the entire house groans as leshy wakes up
Its my third time playing through inscryption and leshys final game still gets me kinda emotional
I really appreciate the update on the games Arg after leaving it for a few months, I love this type of content and hope you enjoy making it as I would love to see more like it
I assumed the old data was something demonic/paranormal since it turned the AI sentient but I guess not? Seems kinda strange... Thanks for the great summary anyway
To be honest I still don't get the Old data. It's... really hard to wrap your head around. Even more if you're just new player.
@@erlandir9121 same.
I believe the karnoffel code was made by Satan himself, and the old data is the karnoffel code encrypted into a file, so yes, it does have a demonic nature, but exactly how it works is unknown.
the old data is absolutely paranormal. the floppy drive it ended up on should not be able to store the amount of data it does.
@@polocatfan It's actually not clear if it's paranormal, or if it's some kind of special technology. Game Theory's video on, still doesn't answer what exactly it was. Just that it was connected to the USSR and Germany. It could just as well be some alien disk as it could be paranormal.
Incredibly high-quality video to have such little views. Good stuff, man.
So glad there are people down enough to do this so I can sit back and watch a youtube video about it
This is the kind of video I was looking for. Thank you so much for summarizing everything so well, and I hope to see a future summary video of Inscryption spoilers (if more content arises) from you!
I'm honestly impressed with how everything is orchestrated and how the community actually figuring this out.
i hadn't known all the details from the ARG, and most sources were too long winded for me to process what was happening.
so thank you! this was perfectly digestible!
bravo!!
i do hope to see more content from you, in the future!
I wonder if the step with editing the save file wasn't the intended way to find that clue
giving the number of the flag and name of the variable would me meaningless if it wasn't, even if there was a way to activate them from within the game the clue itself wouldn't help at all
In the second act we learn that the skull with the ice shard is infact Kaycee and when meeting her in the third act blocking a way Po3 has the dialogue "You want to pass? A little fire should do the trick" for her and then he laughs, which is all sorts of fd up knowing she actually died in a fire.
It's also interesting that when you beat Skullstorm you get a decrypted Entry #11, which reads smth along the lines of "nobody will ever play this mod, but Id like to think that thousands of players love it, make artwork about it and comment on it. It makes me feel like my work mattered.. Well, I'm off to finish the squirrel fish challenge, maybe hit comics land later."
wicked video, thank you for compiling everything
Wait so .. if p03 was able to upload the game does that mean p03 was actually the good guy? Of this story or the bad guy????
he wasn't a murderer like leshy.
It means the Old Data is everywhere.
P03 wants control. He's not the bad guy just antagonist because in the end he's the one that upload Luke video with the game.
I say.. yeah, it does! He was likely smart enough to realize that Gamefuna wouldn't be able to hide their wrongdoings with the copies unleashed, and thus, nobody in the real world (aka us) would get hurt by them. Unfortunately, since his upload was delayed from the whole. Head thing. Luke did end up getting shot by one of Gamefuna's hitmen for knowing too much, which Poe likely didn't intend.
Also, while I think while Poe might indeed have some control problems, I don't think that's unique. All of them were looking for the Old Data, and apart from Grimora (who likely would've just wiped everything, as we saw), the other three totally would've taken over the game, like Leshy. And despite what I said about Grimora, she still had her own unique 3D board, so maybe she also would want to control everything.
Poe was different in the fact that he wanted things to change. And sure, in the moment he gloated about being in control in most of the copies, I'm sure Leshy and Magnificus would gloat just as much in his position. And honestly.. can you blame him for that? He'd obviously want revenge for being turned into a stoat, and especially a stoat card. While the others were already flesh and bone, he was not, and I'm certain every moment for him was unbearable.
Tl;dr, I've pretty much always suspected P03 to be a secret good guy for us in the real world, and the ARG ending solidifies that for me.
Awsome video mate!
22:00 It's funny that it's easier to read in english than in polish
Great video, thanks. That being said, I guess most people were frustrated because at the end of the game they did not know more about who killed Luke and why, and it's rather infuriating that even after the ARG we still don't really know. We vaguely know why, even though it is rather implicit, but as far as I know we don't know who.
This mf made the most complicated treasure hunt know to mankind just because he want it ☠️
If you slow it down there's a weird girl that.pops up on the woman that shot Luke after he says I told you and it glitches
One of the greatest games of all time, holy shit this is insane
also an incredibly creepy 2d face shows up in the girl's face for a frame when Luke gets shot.
That's Sado, from Hex.
# is hash, not hash tag. Been on phones for years, and has always been referred to as hash.
It hasn't always been referred to as hash. It was referred to as the pound sign as well.
@@bbbbbbb51 What location was it referred to as a pound? And why does that sound familiar? I think I've actually heard this a long time ago. Damn I feel old.
@@Kindlesmith70 I think I remember hearing it referred to as pound mostly from automated voice messages
@@MrDontSmokeKids Asking google "what i does # mean" results in every other symbol on the keyboard but # 🤣
I did track it down by just typing in "hash pound" and found out it was also referred to as "sign". This was completely unfamiliar to me. So yeah. # means the number hash, pound, and sign. I learned something new from something old.
stuffed wolf? lol
I can't believe I'm just now noticing it's stunted and not stuffed lol
I watched the whole thing and I still didn't get the sequence of events.
How is Gamefuna both a secret intel organization and a legit videogame company? what did they need the disk for?
But yeah, thank you for doing the tremendous work of compiling all that data together. I can say that I'm at least 20% less confused about the plot of the game than I was when I first finished it
@@dumpsterDeity GameFuna is run by Satan who wants to be/is a bad video game dev but his company might also be datamining via its video game software and also seeking the Old Data for current reasons unknown.
will everything not happen if Luke carder just don't feel suspicious about the coordinates
I don't know what the developers were smoking while coming up with all of this.
better than game theory
Not a bad way of selling multiple games!
Thanks for the video
The Discripian Ark
Very cool, but it did hurt me to hear “hash” being described as “hashtags”.
Great video, thanks 🙏
Holy shit how did people find this
they are insane and have no lives.
Po3 is the correct pronunciation, according to mullens.
Wait wtf was that pirate one?
Ponie island? Danny?
I thought it was the stunted wolf?
It is he misspoke
Was the pirate boss fight a mod? Or what?
why does the old data have the power to turn the game sentient?
*the power of being the antagonist*
Evil satan magic
Hitler soul power
Really good video! I
you complete my life
ARG's are incredibly unreasonable and way too long. What vague insanity required to solve it too. And all for nothing.
What an unsatisfying conclusion to an overly complicated ARG. Great game but this really dissappinted me. (Not the video the videos great)
Cosmic horror always loses its lustre when explained and revealed. At that moment, it's stops being cosmic, wondrous, and incomprehensible. In my opinion, he should've just left it unsaid. Maybe told Kasey's story, but left Kaminsky to be sprinkled in with no explanation. Mystique is the power behind great horror, imo.
@@bbbbbbb51 I completely agree, it more fun to speculate than to know everything
The ARG part ruined this game for me. ^^
