2010 Honda Civic EX Sedan Upper Speedometer Fix and Replacement

- Problem: Speedometer Display from right to left.
- 2nd digit on the speedometer failed to display the top line
and the left top edge.
- 3rd digit failed to display the top left and the top line.
Solution:
1. Replaced with a use part (Speedometer from 2007 EX Coupe model
will not power up on 2010 EX Sedan model, also speedometer parts are not exchangeable from Coupe to Sedan model). Ended up replaced
the speedometer with a sedan model with an unknown year.
2. Use WD-40 Contact cleaner, sprayed on the socket and the plug
of the Speedometer (Discovered this fix by accident).

Tools use in this video:
1. Standard size Phillip screw driver
2. Short Phillip screw driver (8mm 1/4 drive socket and ratchet if your radio is OEM)
3. Small Flat tip screw driver
4. Magnet (optional)
5. WD 40 Contact Cleaner

Ive noticed this issue is a lot more prevalent if you turn up the brightness while the lights are on. Its really annoying and forces you to turn it down, making it hard to see in some situations
What did you do to fix it? This just happened to my 2010 civic and im like absolutely stressed beyond belief. An with the economy right now so messed up, i cant even afford to buy a new one, or pay anyone to replace it. Did anything you did work? Any pointers?
This just happened to my civic today .. has me so stressed out right now. And now im seeing that its gonna be a complete nightmare taking the dash apart 😫. God i wish the economy wasnt so messed up right now. Its like i cant afford anything.. cant even pay someone to do this for me cause i have no money

Do you know if this works the same as a Lx model as well?
from what I experience. 2 doors and 4 doors are not interchangeable.
