- There's a gritty sense of pride evident in the displays at the U.S. Army Aviation Museum on Fort Rucker in Alabama. Said to be the largest single collection of displayed helicopters, the museum also portrays U.S. Army fixed wing aviation dating back to before World War I. The museum is located on an active Army post; it is advisable to check first to learn current access and operating hours. (Have you subscribed to the Airailimages Channel on RUclips? Thanks!)

Thanks Mr. Johnsen. I am glad to see the Chinook with wings is still there, parked outside with the "fixed-wing" aircraft.
I remember spending a lot of time at the museum, in '78, waiting for my Huey repairman school to start. Back then, all the aircraft were outside.
You are always welcome Mr. Johnson!
What a wonderful collection. I would love to be able to visit. Just to old and disabled now. Thanks for the video.
April 23, 2019---Thanks for the video. Used to drive truck all over the U.S. and more than once I'd see the sign for the museum, but never had the chance to stop and visit. Was into model building at the time and also taking photos of myself at different places when ever possible. Such as a photo of me next to a sign welcoming me to Texas, New Mexico, etc. Took about 1,000 photos in the 18 months I was driving otr (over the road). Then went to ltl work which had me home basically every day/weekends, but wasn't as much fun..

Quick question, what is the title of the song playing throughout this video?
All music is listed at the end -- "The Army Goes Rolling Along", followed by 'Voyeur' and Blank Holes', all part of the RUclips Audio Library
