As you say Stone Island has been a hooligan brand for a long time and in the casual clothing and hooligan scene it’s not appreciated that the so-called ‘hypebeasts’ take over the brand, just because mainly Drake caused for it to blow up. As im a football fan from the Netherlands I strongly agree with this opinion and though it’s an expensive brand it’s worn by pretty much everyone able to afford(or fake) it which ruins the exclusivity of it.
I first saw stone island being worn by the Casuals which are UK football hooligans , with some crews bringing clothes from Europe they stole during shoplifting sprees while at football matches abroad. In Scotland there was an ex hooligan who opened a shop in Aberdeen specifically catering to stylish brands , it was a peacock type thing strutting with the best gear and being the best crew. Good video i just stumbled on and was good to hear about it.
Dont mind the 15 years old that did not even live through the casual cultures glory days. What they recnetly did is watching gse on netflix and think they know something. Italians made the brand exclusive, not hooligans

huh ok, so basically when English wankers adapted Stoney it easily started to getting popular more and more, in 70's being a Hool was really popular and when something gains popularity it is well known in every type of social group, one of these social groups are people working as policemen. In the beginning, it was easy for the typical policeman to kind of see who is a Hool. When they've started escaping thru the crowd after fighting with their opponents that are fans of the other team, it wasn't hard to see a band of guys in colorful football shirts. As I said before, many people wore Stoney's so Hooligans used brands like stone island/Lacoste and other brands as a camouflage.

the casual culture and hooligan roots? you are correct. that's not who I is. or who I be. yet im about stone island. speaks to the brand. no one wants to be one dimensional
I only know a few badge colour schemes, regular is for normal stone island products, you get one with a green border which means it’s pre 2000. The solid colour one is the shadow project line And the black with all White compass indicates that the piece uses new materials, You also get frost badges and acid treated badges
Yeah but at that time in Italy having these kinds of brands meant something, and not only for the price but because while other people wore only American and overused brand, these kids wore something that represented them
Got my first cp in 89 & SI in 1990. When it was very rare & really only worn on the terraces & by football lads. Made in Italy. Now made in cheaper countries & quality not as good, but love the label, cp company & massimo osti imo was one of the best designers of all time, I even had a left hand jacket ..... wish I'd held on to more of my clobber

Doctor Soles11 what he is trying to say is that it’s people like you that are taking what made stone island special away the exclusivity of the brand is what made it special
i think if you enjoyed the brand simply for its exclusivity, then i really dont care. i became interested in the brand because of its roots, history, and design inspirations. i even spent my own valuable time to make a youtube video about it to share this with others, and i havent made any money off of it. theres plenty of other exclusive things you can move on to, and when others catch up? feel free to move on to the next one. you'll be ok

That Stone Island x Supreme collab must really piss you off then
lol few things piss me off. dont care about that collab at all haha
Uk crew been wearing stoney since the 90s possibly even earlier Americans shouldn’t be wearing stone island
lol thank you great honorable all powerful judge of who can and cant wear what
Doctor Soles11 true tho Americans don’t understand or even have casual fashion it’s like us being interested in what ever fashion is associated with American football
haha yes in a way
Lovin the channel bro. Big up from the U.K! I also like how you reply positively to the negative comments, keep it up 👊🏼💯
You need to remove the shot of the QR code, people can steal It 😳
lol
Dosent work like that but if alot of people scan that same code it will show up as fake on certilogo
ABU 98 Correct
ABU 98 you get about 4 uses out of a certilogo before it becomes unverifiable
I'm really drawn to your videos. You do a good job informing us.
means a lot thank u!
These big hard youtube casuals seem to be pretty sensitive
lol
Please leave
6:47 - when Jeff Goldblum shows off his Stone Island Jacket.
Can't believe this mug has worn stone island with a moody shirt and tie and dodgy strides,he clearly don't get it
the casual culture and hooligan roots? you are correct. that's not who I is. or who I be. yet im about stone island. speaks to the brand. no one wants to be one dimensional
@@DoctorSoles11 I rate you for wearing a piece you like how you want, not how id wear it but i actually think the fit is fire
appreciate that!
Bellend
Your dad at the end is too funny hahahaha he’s feeling so good in that jacket hahaha love it!
haha thanks. he's a G!
Stone island isn’t hypebeast it’s casual always will be
I only know a few badge colour schemes, regular is for normal stone island products, you get one with a green border which means it’s pre 2000.
The solid colour one is the shadow project line
And the black with all White compass indicates that the piece uses new materials,
You also get frost badges and acid treated badges
appreciate the details!
Not a hypebeast brand
Never said it was
Good video enjoyed it
Appreciate u!
Hey Doc, your dad looks like Massimo Osti
When Grime got hold of it its like we flexed it firsts Ive been dropping these Garms 20 ODD YEARS , FIRST THE JUMPERS THEN THE JACKETS JEANS ECT ,
I don't think so mate.road rappers were rocking si before grime artist's.they were into yankee brands like akademiks etc, then got into si.
@@marxman300 grime was around years before road rap, you idiot
8:51 omg the ultimate stereotype hahahah
Yeah but at that time in Italy having these kinds of brands meant something, and not only for the price but because while other people wore only American and overused brand, these kids wore something that represented them
Got my first cp in 89 & SI in 1990. When it was very rare & really only worn on the terraces & by football lads.
Made in Italy. Now made in cheaper countries & quality not as good, but love the label, cp company & massimo osti imo was one of the best designers of all time, I even had a left hand jacket ..... wish I'd held on to more of my clobber
that's awesome! i'm jealous im only learning about it this year
Doctor Soles11 well your on the start of an interesting path. They made some of the ic jackets with Aluminium& glass fibres. Very innovative.
Enjoy.
thanks! def plan on looking into it
C.P is the sister company I got a lot of stoni and C.P from mush in woodgreen and I have so much cp and stoni pieces
Please do not compare stoney to supreme
:-D
I mean they did a collab
Hooligan- a violent young troublemaker
Originally known as ‘CP company’ stone island is one of the most important brands of all time, we can’t let this one get over run by the youth! Also, check out CP, the goggle jackets are hype.
lol youth need the education; hence this video
Cp is not ‘hype’ is a casual clothing brand for football fans not American mongs
SNP BASSEY it’s folk like you that ruined stone island “hype” shut up you roaster
Luke Thomas I’m from Yorkshire mate...and I literally can call CP or Stonie hype because not only do I own garments from the QR times but also from the Art code numbers so I guess that makes me somewhat old enough to say I’m a long consumer of the brand!
apollo offical Someone’s upset...let me guess you own one garment and it’s a tella over shirt, get real lad
Awesome video, well made! You taught me a lot
appreciate that!
Damn Doc you look like a focking star here haha you should go back to this look
Peace
lol thanks
CP Company is my go to label now that all the kids on the high street are now wearing Stoneys.
Its not what its used to be
thats a fact
What happens if you loose your stone Island badge?
15:48 your
dad never looked so fly
hahah gotta learn from THA BEST
I literally thought you were some popular ass RUclips you delivered a very good informational video
If you go on the stoneisland store they just released a heat reactive jacket, I'm in love with it but not sure if it would be in your taste.
Saw it! Not exactly my style so I’ll keep waiting lol
Philly fan here. Snowballs at Santa or batteries at John rocker. We got ya futbol boys.
lol
football casuals started it

Nah nah man the paninari's started it
Shit on the city
Thanks for the video bro good informations and yeah
Greetings from Germany 😘
thanks for watchin! always crazy awesome to hear i can be in touch with people all over the world
Subtle daddy flex
lol subtle
america have taken stoney aswell now.
lol wouldnt say taken. we can all share
I’m making my way through your videos but I’m gonna need some more! They’re so good!
I remember the days you'd get punched up for your stoney 🙌 good times
lol glad I missed those days. not my scene at all haha
The reason why hooligans started sporting expensive gear was to avoid police detection as they could not be identified as fans through team colours
yea as ive learned more about it that part makes more sense
Damn why didn’t I know this a couple weeks ago when supreme Colab wit them. I passed hard thinking NOPE
Bought my first SI piece in 88 at little shop right by Sloane square if your as old me and you were at it on a Saturday you will know exactly what shop I'm taking about
CHECK OUT C.P Company X Adidas (colab)
damn yo. ima have to take u sers with that stone island emblem as yer icon thumbnail haha
Here's the Link.......... hypebeast.com/2018/2/adidas-c-p-company-kamanda-goggle-jacket
When you wore it, you change 10000000000000000000000000000x more better than before
hahahahah
Better than hypebeast 😂
Can I just ask why wet Americans are jumping on British road man brands
My favourite brand!
good choice!
stone island belongs to the terrace casuals. period. the og pieces were proudly made back then in italy NOT in china!!!!!
🙏🏼🙏🏼✊🏼
What’s that piece you have called? It’s really 🔥
david tela light! closer look at the tag and official name in the video
People like you are ruining Stone Island the yanks and "Roadmen" have made Stoney over saturated .
never heard the term roadmen...what is that? also i only ruined it in your head. my goal is to educate and have fun. ive never felt the need to dictate what others can and cannot wear...especially since i dont own any part of the companies that make the clothes i wear haha. makes no sense to me
Doctor Soles11 what he is trying to say is that it’s people like you that are taking what made stone island special away the exclusivity of the brand is what made it special
i think if you enjoyed the brand simply for its exclusivity, then i really dont care. i became interested in the brand because of its roots, history, and design inspirations. i even spent my own valuable time to make a youtube video about it to share this with others, and i havent made any money off of it. theres plenty of other exclusive things you can move on to, and when others catch up? feel free to move on to the next one. you'll be ok
love stone island
:)
The cringe
lol just gotta own it
BaileyBoy not really that cringey
- ok....haha
Nice video
thanks!
Americans 25 years to late 😂
lol
Mark Cox true, but not entirely true.check this lol ruclips.net/video/XwBMGXUHemA/видео.html
Americans are about 4000 years behind don't worry, baby country with fat over grown moronic baby minds !
I like the frosted emblem
so dope
You ain't hard enough to wear stoney
:(
10:40 right on!!! Supreme for those who kinda grew up !!!
WTF was that guy wearing with that Stony jacket in the car park🧥🤦♂️ C.P Company was Stone Island makers first brand I believe 🤔
hahahahahha
I see you riding around South Philly like a boss in the Stoney!

Doctor Soles11 oh, the row homes looked a little like south Philly
Or you need now is some jeans, some gazelles, Ralph hat and a fred perry top on
