T Burke It's the one at about 2:05 in the upper right had corner. In the actual game play, it's much bigger looking & depending on which direction you are facing it, it has a very sinister shape. lol

Sounds like there was gonna be more content in the game but it looks like they removed it according to internet rumors there was originally the developers were gonna put 48 colossi in the game but due to data issues they had to reduce the size limit.
It's amazing to see how far you can get with the OPM demo using the right tools...I remember playing it dozens of times in anticipation of the full game, often causing the game to crash when I tried going beyond the loaded terrain. It makes me think: considering the fact that the attack for the Spider colossus battle is present in the OPM demo, could any other beta content be hidden in its files, like how the textures for those two unused colossi were in the final game? Has the SotC hacking community sifted through the contents of the OPM and PSU demos for anything of that sort yet?
Yes we have, there is no left over beta colossi data in the demos, I've checked all three versions - OPM, PSU and PAL. Only the first colossus data is in the code hence the smaller size of the NICO file compared to the retail version.
I did search all the lands, there's nothing else out there we haven't seen, just a low res version of #7, #12 & #15's areas but I didn't show these. I covered #15's low res temple in my 'Opening Cut Scene' blog post though.
I wish I had another version of the game but there doesn't appear to be any i don't have. I would love to get my hands on an even earlier demo or full version but so far I haven't found one.
wow that was great I went to misty falls just to save and see the shrine haha and then I watched the bird doing his dance flying when I went to main menu haha I love your videos and I love when You show something really interesting like this I love the lakes in SOTC and just to know that that pond doesn't have water gave me chills ^ ^

Or a ghost entity with the removed Colosi shell attatched to it?
No, sadly all the extra colossi were removed and virtually no evidence of their existence is left in the game's code. If there were unused colossi in the data we would have found them years ago ; )
Nomad Colossus Actually there is an area on G7/The Bull Colossi's old lair where they left the stone monument and i found it... Why dont you check it out sometime?? P.S. Its the monument with a stone "Arch" That the boar gets stuck in
There could be but the code for it probably wouldn't mention something that says it is a "Collosus" it would just be random letters and numbers/symbols, making it impossible to find.

IdriveCaddy2 I saw your question and I think I can help. The items aren´t showing up maybe because you didn´t finish all time attack battles in one playthrough. If that is the case, you´re going to have to play again through all of them in one playthrough, sorry. I had the same issue but once I figured it out I got that platinium trophy in no time ;) Sorry if I am meddling, just trying to help a fellow fan :)
Is it possible that the area around B5 was the beta layout for the devil colossus? in the two pictures of it, there area looks very very similar- Does it seem likely that they started its lair and then scrapped it, using parts of it elsewhere?
There's no way to be sure... the columns shown in the devil colossus images are different to any that exist now, they are squared and it seems to be at the edge of a cliff.
Have you tried to go beta mountains or colossi? Or there was nothing but that cave entrance actually leads to #10's lair ive seen a sharp right but it dissapear fast
Great video as always! Hey, off topic question. Can you suggest a guide for running Shadow of PCSX2 emulator? I've wanted to give it a try for some time and never gotten the chance too.
Just check out the PCSX2 website - it is full of info about how to configure the emulator. You can also visit the forums if you are having trouble running a game. If the game is running to slow it may be your computer's processor that is the cause, you need a dual processor at least to run the game.
When you go away from the big castle thing not sure of the term and follow the bridge does the bridge lead anywhere or is it an empty space filled with trees
I have a question. In the OPM demo there was no save shrine next to the cave entrance but then in the PSU version it's there. My guess it was a save shrine to go fight a colossus like the monkey or a save right before a cutscene for pholux to come out and battle you. Just a plain guess
I find the low res lands and stuff you see far far out in the distance but can never get to very interesting, I want to explore more of that and the low res textures at the top of the tower in the retail game since you can't get to it. How do I do thisssss :(

Hey, Nomad :) I have some questions. In all of the demos are you restricted to a certain path or quadrant? How many colossi can you kill before the demo ends? And also, do you have any theories about those 3/4 towers? Great, great video, by the way :)
You can only fight the first colossus in the demos then it restarts, and you are limited to the 9 centre squares of the world map. The towers are very similar to the tower Avion perches on, so I think they added Avion's tower after they removed the B5 ones. They probably removed these towers as there were too many other towers in the game - at #7's arena, #14's arena, #16's arena, at both ends of the earth bridges etc. but that's just a guess.
Hello Nomad, I hope you can help me. I'm trying to get platinum in SotC and I only need one more trophy. I have to beat all Colossi in hard time attack and collect all items in the pond. But for some reason, the items won't appear in the pond! I don't know why :( They showed up in normal time attack, but they don't in hard mode...Do I have to start a new game on hard mode and then try to beat them on hard time attack again? :'( Greetings, IdriveCaddy2
You can by running the game through an emulator and using a memory/hex editor to find the colossi values. I think I'll post a video about how to do it as I get that question sometimes ; )

Shadow of the colossus is such a mysterious game in my opinion
The textures just disappear if I go too far in, none of #10's lair exists in the low res mode. If there was something there I would have shown it.

At 8:17-8:18, you can see the cave take a sharp right turn before quickly disappearing. Does it just suddenly end or is there more to that pathway?
The Low res cave had a path visible when the walls got culled out, go through frame by frame. Maybe it has a low res room in it?

Liam Norman You can only control a colossus via hacking the game using an emulator. I'll be uploading a video soon about how to do it.
