Because of the high temperature, the horseshoe has better contact with the hoof.
Farrier is Jan Cornette.

That method of trimming isn't done in the US (that I know of) The farriers here, use hoof knives, and nippers. Beautiful horse, he appears very well trained. Mad skills!

I’m not a fan of using stocks but sometimes a necessity on the draught horses. I wish owners would spend the time when they are born to stand for the farrier! Seems like a lot of time spent tying and untying. 👍

They would stand, but it is so difficult to hold up their legs, especially when the horse leans on them. I have seen two men shoeing where one holds the horse's leg up, while the other man shoes.

Hi mate pls let me know my farrier has overburned my horse sole while hot shoeing.he got sore sole and limping when getting pressure on the sole.How long it takes for this sore sole to heal.pls reply thanks
