Yeah its really great to see Gordon as a real person and not just as a vehicle for the player
Do you know more of them? The only other two I’ve seen are the Komegatze and Laddo sfm’s

I mean, if we take what we know of the combine literally, being an interuniversal empire with the goal of conquering other universes and having already done so in numerous others, then he is actually fighting for the future of our universe by trying to kick them out.
Hes care is cure of the world.
Gordon doesnt need to hear all of this, he is a highly trained professional.
Gordon was just a 27-year old theoretical physicist fresh from college, and then he just gets thrust into a 20-year long fight for the freedom of the human race without ever being asked whether he *wants* to be the savior of the human race from alien clutches or not
He chooses to take the responsibility
I've heard some theories that Adrian Shephard was actually supposed to do all the stuff that Gordon ends up doing but Gordon actually rises to the challenge. The truth is.. nothing stopped him from just staying put after the disaster and hoping for rescue (like kleiner and Eli) but, he decides to push through

i like the thought that gordon started out with the HEV Helmet but lost it in Xen
i know how played out this discussion is but gordon definitely has a helmet at some points. i mean he's literally swimming in a nuclear reactor in lambda core. no helmet and he dies of radiation poisoning within hours

He didn't, he always had one but apparently everyone is confused about it. What you see on your screen (weapons, ammo, health, suit charge level, crosshair) is what the helmet shows to Gordon. It's true for all half life games. You can see that Gordon's vision is normal when he doesn't have a suit (and its helmet) at the start of Half Life 2.
@@Lusc1nt the problem I see is that in half life 1 after the resonance cascade that one guard recognizes you instantly, the only way that would happend is without a helmet, I like to believe that all the HUD is just gameplay stuff + half life 1 skin has gordon without a helmet and the dev said that in the canon gordon didnt let any headcrab tried to go for his head and of course when you found the HEV suit both in hl1 and hl2 the helmet is not there and in hl alyx it shows gordon without a helmet

He stood in it for like a few minutes or hours.

Dude, Eli's death was a rough hit but if we ever actually had Barney die in the series I don't think I could take it.
Gordon has fought a lot.
He's fought aliens, he's fought the military.
He's seen his co-workers die.
Then he's left in stasis, with nothing to do.
Years later, he gets brought into city 17.
He fights the combine, He's seen the death of many citizens.
He's seen Eli die. After everything, he's dead. All because of a damn advisor.
He's gone through a lot.

I loved how the creator of this sfm (I think it was sfm, I don't really know) made Gordan have such good emotions in it. One of the best ways I've seen Gordan be animated.

I think some of the movements, such as at 0:19, could be a little slower to match the music, but aside from that, this is priceless; I love the struggle portrayed when fighting the zombies.
If you decide to do a sequel, I hope you include a hint to Gordon's dismay at discovering the HECU is not friendly, and a scene in which he witnesses other scientists being executed.
They didn’t make the animations,so they cant change it.
God dam I just watched this video again and nearly cried realizing that this is probably the last memory Gordon has of this security guard. If it isn't Barney and is one of the dozens we meet traveling through black Mesa in the game then he probably is dead. I remember playing Black Mesa almost 4 years ago and fortifying a room of scientists and security guards. Deep down I hoped they were ok but I really don't think so videos like this do such a good job of showing just how terrible this event would be.
Also, if Opposing Force's ending is to be believed as canon then those scientists and security guards died to the nuke.

Just finished playing Half Life for the first time and I have to say I loved it. The story, plot, characters, gameplay, it was awesome. I also like this edit of Gordon Freeman, it feels emotional thinking about how much Gordon has to go through during this terrible disaster. I'm gonna start playing the rest of the Half Life games.
And ended up sitting in a corner of a helicopter hangar waiting for episode 3...

I'm afraid the original Half Life 1 Wont work since its on Gold Source engine but theres Half Life Source so you can mount it into SFM If you have it. But I also didnt made these videos, all credits are listed in the description, hope you can understand :)

Who would win Adrian (a US marine/HECU with a p.c.v suit ) or Gordon (a scientist with a damn crowbar and a h.e.v suit)
Armor-wise, Gordon would win, but Experience would go to Adrian, but overall I think Gordon would win, because he had previous weapons training during the HEV Training.
Why does this sfm use the same thumbnail as a similar sfm made by sergo movies? The sfms themselves are quite different, so why copy the thumbnail and the title format?
