Awesome job. It looks like you dipped the upper and lower as a single peice. How do you handle the separation joint of the two parts? Or the joints in general of the multiple pew pew parts?
Also, do you have special plugs for the holes in the lower portions of the cordless hole punch, or is that just really good taping? If they are plugs, where did you get them?
Holds up fine. We have tested them to over 600 degrees on a full auto gun with very few issues. Most normal people will not get it hot enough to ever have any issues.
I'm a little late but I'll ask anyway. What kind of clear coat do you use for the candy paint? I know you said gloss clear from OHW but was it the standard clear or the 2k clear?
Sorry, I'm from Germany, I'll try to be more precise. Around the two minute mark, when you take the magazines out and let them rest, you see a few inches of film that are sticking out. How do you get rid of that. Sorry again, I'm completely new to this an just curious.
I believe you are seeing the tape. Each side is dipped separately while the opposite side is covered with tape. In a prior video he states that it leaves an almost undetectable seam.
BWWAHHHHAAAA LMAO! When I start making enough money from RUclips to hire a makeup coordinator, I want a Jack Sparrow Beard! LOL Nah I filmed part of the video back before I burned my arm and had to shave the beard, now I am growing it back. I think that will be the last video with different beard lengths.
Thanks for the bloopers 🤣🤣🤣
Awesome glad you enjoyed them!
That’s a cool effect. Something like that would look awesome on my minitrike.
It is really cool, I love candy coatings!
Incredible! That’s just what I want on my Challenger engine bay parts!
Wow! Great video and I love the gun it still looks good now after some heavy use.
Awesome to hear, it is most definitely a sexy beast with that candy on it!
Kent: WOW Noice i give her rate this a 20/20

🤩love the candy red
That candy red is beautiful 🤩
Thank you. I think it looks really good. Can't go wrong with candy apple
@@AllThingsFunHydrographics you’ve definitely got me thinking about all the different techniques
WOW, BEAUTIFUL!!! I'm new to this so thank you for the video's!!
Glad I could help! Thanks for watching.
G'day mate great video. You do great work mate.
Thank you so much!
That looks really good.
Simply awesome.
Thank you
That’s badass! Best description of spraying candy I’ve seen. What film pattern is that?
Thanks Terry. That is Vices, Big Brain sells it.
@@AllThingsFunHydrographics you’ve given me an idea for one of the Halloween pumpkins for the office
@@terrylockwood2430 Oh cool, dipped pumpkins would be awesome!
How durable is that hydro dip and paint combo - Cerekote/ Gunkote type durable ?
Hey do you have any prep videos showing how you prep these for a dip did you just tape everything up?
Also, do you have special plugs for the holes in the lower portions of the cordless hole punch, or is that just really good taping? If they are plugs, where did you get them?
I have a link in the description section of all the plugs I use. They are like some kind of rubber or silicone. Work Great.
Love the graphics does the site have this as well.
This pattern is sold a Big Brain graphics. I do not sell film.
Great job, how many different Candy colors are there?
Quite a few. I know OHW has about 9 or so.
What is roughly the price to have something like this done?
Every project is custom priced. Email or call for a quote. chris@atfhydrographics.com
👍👍👍muy bien gracias 😸
👍😍
How does the paint on the receivers hold up to the heat of “pewing” or is this just a show piece?
Holds up fine. We have tested them to over 600 degrees on a full auto gun with very few issues. Most normal people will not get it hot enough to ever have any issues.
Did you sandblast the shiny metal object before painting metallic silver?
Yes, we sandblast everything, especially freedom seed delivery platforms
Have you ever dipped a Sharps Bros Jacks receiver??
Yes and I have cerakoted quite a few of them too. Got pictures on my website if you want to see them.
Can you not just get hydro dip film candy red with pattern?
Send me a link for that candy paint thanks
how do you do those designs is it a stencil?
I'm a little late but I'll ask anyway. What kind of clear coat do you use for the candy paint? I know you said gloss clear from OHW but was it the standard clear or the 2k clear?
So what would be the difference from putting a red bad coat. Dip it and the clear without using candy?
Yeah just spray the red base, dip, and then clear.
I'm definitely going to candy one of my pew pews but it will have to be candy apple 🍏.
Candy apple is always a favorite
What would something like that cost

Is there a video where they show how to remove the excess film after dipping. Somehow I've nerver seen this done. Do you simply cut it with a knife?
I dont understand the question, there shouldn't be excess film after dipping?

@@mmda81 Yup... just like @Ups Jet Mechanic said, that is tape. I tape off one side and dip each side separately.
@@AllThingsFunHydrographics @Ups Jet Mechanic Ah, ok! Thanks for the answers!
i am shocked to learn there are only 2900 views??
RUclips doesn't like me because I do guns... so they don't show my videos to anyone.
I was always told gold underneath candy red always.
In hydro dip we traditionally do silver, gold is an option though
Im trying to get my dipping right 😔 i have yet to get any right
It takes time and practice... training helps a lot too, ask any of our Patrons and they will tell you it makes a huge difference.
@@AllThingsFunHydrographics i just watched a vid. I definitely need to set my spray gun properly first
Silver OR gold metal flake base
just the tip, i promise!
Hire me man!!!! I'm from bakersfield California, little painting experience, but really interested and more then willing to learn, hit me up!
sweet results ! but wondering why you didn't filter the candy ?
My 3m PPS cups have filters built into them. It filters it for me.
Are you guys on Facebook or Instagram?
Yes we are on both. And tiktok.
Is your makeup coordinator practicing with beard extensions??? ...short ...long ...short
🙄🤨 💥 😯😂😂😂
