    Question ? And first off love all the videos. Thanks for all your help and teachings.
    So yes, once you clean off the residue after you dip it with cold. Just tack it off and spray clear once it's dry and of a good temp (pending materials and etc.) ? Thanks again.

      I wouldn't actually do the metal parts on any pistols or barrels on shot guns. It will wipe out blue oil on metal and could start pitting on gun.. now the stock, and handle grips or both butt stock and handle grip on shot guns.

      We recommend automotive paint. I would stay away from already mixed aerosols as most have a hardner built in. They can work but you will have to find that sweet spot between when it is dry enough to dip but not hard that the print slides off.

    What's the purpose of the speed shapes? Just to practice? And what about the area of the speed shape where your fingers were grabbing it...what do you do to alleviate that?

    • @LiquidConceptsUSA
      @LiquidConceptsUSA  2 года назад +1

      Yes the speed shapes are simply for practice or sampling. They are ABS plastic which does not require any prep or painting prior to dipping. This saves you on time and makes it easy. You can simply put a tape tab on the back of the speed shape and dip it and this would avoid any defects when dipped.

    Interesting, I saw another video that said you should never tape all 4 sides of the piece of film you're using... but I see you do it in all your videos. Thoughts?

    • @LiquidConceptsUSA
      @LiquidConceptsUSA  2 года назад

      It depends on the film. Usually taping all 4 sides seems excessive, but sometimes can be necessary depending on the film that you are using. Anything is certainly possible for a better dip!!
