It's your channel and your hike. Please video what you want. If folks don't want to see a particular part of a video (town), then they can skip over it. I am among the many that just appreciate you bringing us all along on this journey and whatever you can share with us.
That's exactly what I was thinking. He is the one putting in the work, put the things that are interesting and memorable. If he shares why it is special, most will find it interesting
for those of us living vicariously, we appreciate all the details. Hiking, camp setup/teardown, deep thoughts, happiness, tears, anger... and town day chores. We'll take whatever you can provide. Thanks for taking us along!
I agree with the comments I’ve seen - film what you’d like to! It’s your experience and hike - make the videos something you’ll want to watch back. I think it’s giving us all a good idea of the PCT.
You show us things that my wife and I would never be able to see otherwise. We love to see all the facets of through hiking. Thank you so much for sharing your hike with us.
I did that section (Echo lake Marina to Lake Aloha and back) as a day hike last August. Beautiful area. Film what you want and take time to enjoy the days without filming. Happy trails
Do what you want. I hate when people watch a channel and complain about how the creator makes it. Hike your own hike. Applies to your videos too. I’ve watched every one and can’t wait for the next one
You are awesome. I am grateful for any footage you can do. I appreciate all the time and effort that you put into your videos. ... during the heat dome I hiked 5.1 miles on the Laurel Highlands hiking trail. It was quite an accomplishment with heat index of over 100 degrees, gnats, mosquitoes, humidity to beat the band and elevation gain of 1500 feet. All this sounds so small compared to your journey. Take care and enjoy yourself and wonderful sleep.
❤praying for you guys.. we hope your having a blast.. we enjoy any conversation you put up.. in town , hiking..we are rooting for you boys.. your oregon fans..blessings
Took my 4 year old to Raccoon State Park today for some beach fun. We then walked to the mineral spring. He was so funny pretending to be Frozen on a hike in the woods! He wants to go on adventures just like you. Keep up the great work, you never know who you're inspiring!
HI Jason! The videos you are sending out are absolutely amazing. The views are beyond incredible, and the camera i know does not do the views justice, but it gives us here in Virginia an idea of what it's like where you are. I agree with the other folks in the comments, this is your channel, and your videos, and you film what you want to or what you feel like. The 'Coffee & Pancakes' sounds like a great way to start the day. Please be extremely careful on those 'sketchy snow bank areas' especially on the steeper sections. Tell Bigfoot hello, and you guys stay safe, and take care! 🙂Happy Hiking!
I have enjoyed every video that you have shared with us. Please continue to what you like to video. This may be the only way most of us would be able to a thru hike!! Unfortunately, I’m unable to hike like I would like to but, through your video I can!! Thank you for taking us along with you.
Frozen, it's your hike. Film whatever you feel like. I enjoy it all! I do like seeing you all eating town food for some strange reason. 😂 I like your talks with Bigfoot a lot! He seems like such a good dude! Hey Bigfoot....
I will echo several of the previous comments here. It’s your trip, film what you want. As someone who has always wanted to do that hike but never had the time I am enjoying all your content. The video is honest and clean. The commentary seems raw and gives the viewer as realistic a depiction as possible. Thank you. Who knows maybe someday I can start hiking it in sections. Gorgeous country.
Feel free to keep the town footage in, especially if you hit local dive bars and restaurants. I feel that these types of establishments are also a part of the Trail’s character. Unlike the AT, towns along the PCT are far apart and hikers pretty much have to stop into them for resupply, as a result. So videos can really help future hikers know what to expect.
STUNNING views again!! Re videos from town: I enjoy them but I'll happily watch whatever you want to share. How are the possum down gloves btw? Finally, hurray for the end of the bear canister 🎉🎉🎉
For me, no need to repeat all the normal activities in town, but it's fun to see what's interesting, different, or significant in towns, and personally I like lodging, restaurant and resupply impressions. It's all part of the adventure, as much as the scenery in the wilderness or the trail conditions.
Does Big Foot have a Vlog/Blog of this PCT adventure? It doesn't need to be in English if he has one. I do read Dutch. Happy hiking to the both of you. Have loved this adventure so far.
It's your hike so you should film what you like, but as being from the Netherlands I would love to see more of the towns, outfitters, restaurants etc. But once again, you should film what feels good to you.
I love seeing all of what you choose to share. Reason I like the town stuff: as someone that cant hike the trails anymore I love when I can go into town to some place you have been and think to myself "hey this is where Frozen was, I am going to try their food/drinks." So yeah, I love it all.
I suppose wanting or not wanting to see towns is based on why people are following your PCT thru hike. For anyone thinking about or planning to do so themselves, knowing more about what’s available (especially resupply and outfitter locations) and where is invaluable. I enjoy seeing as many aspects of thru hiking as possible, and I’m not even physically capable (I need a double lung transplant due to a genetic condition) of backpacking, so I love following RUclipsrs who can. Vicariously hiking through others. It’s fabulous!
Love hearing about your town experiences. I want to know where the good food is!!! Funny how you can suffer cold, wet shoes and exhaustion, but the idea of possibly making a stranger uncomfortable for a moment with a camera. 😮 You’re a good dude. Do you.
Pretty much what everyone else has said, it is your hike and you are bringing us along for the journey. I’ve enjoyed every bit of it, even the times you questioned yourself or came to a realization on some things, certainly makes it feel more relatable.
I like seeing a mixture of scenes, towns and hikes, food and just relaxing at camp. Makes it a bit more interesting instead of just seeing mountains as beautiful as they are...
Beautiful sunrise over Echo Lake!!!! I love the hiking views!! The trail, trees, sunrise, sunsets, flowers and really amazing rocks! Almost halfway!! Whoo hoo!!!
Love just seeing you film whatever you feel is interesting enough to share. Sometimes the mundane moments can be memorable as I've found in my travels. Be safe and thanks for your hard work
just film more of the towns you like and what makes you like them I lived in Truckee CA for twenty years so its so cool to see the Tahoe area echo lake is such cool lake to visit well thanks for all your videos. Your videos make me homesick for lake Tahoe but I can't go backwards in life anymore, just your videos are great to watch.
I’m just happy you’ve found someone to hike with that isn’t afraid to be on camera and offers his insights and opinions. Film what you want to film. This is your journey. If people want to see other stuff, they can hike the trail and record their own hike.
Not sure about California but the snow melts in Washington end of July around the Leavenworth area, early August in the north cascades! It’s crazy how long it stays around. I got epically lost on a portion of the PCT in 2022 in WA mid July due to snow cover - think your advice to find an easier route is solid.
Keep showing the towns. It’s cool. It’s a good change of pace from the outdoors, and give us a little insight to what each stops looks like and the amenities they have !!!!
The camera gear weight adds up, the town time spent on this channel is quite a sacrifice but you do It to share an amazing experience. vlog whatever you want, its a wonderful gift,
I'm a 6o+ y.o. women with bad knees and not a snowball chance in hell to ever do anything this epic. I luv your videos. I follow about three hikers every season. You are impressive! Thanks for carrying us along. I feel like I'm right there with you. Much gratitude.❤
Yes..I do the same. I try and find at least 1 on all 3 of the major thru hikes. And I like to watch ultra runners, see some awesome nature all over the world. Jeff Pelletier does extremely wonderful vids in beautiful places.
Hey Frozen...I just starting watching you on this hike and loved your videos, so I went back and watched your entire AT hike! Love your videos and will watch this one all too. I just was wondering why you didn't hammock again? I know the desert section can be difficult to find somewhere to hang for the night, but was just wondering? I may have missed it in a gear review?? Sorry to bother. Kick some butt Frozen! 1100 down!!! 🎉
I've not been to Tahoe since I had a sales meeting there in 86'. I suspect the area may have changed some since then. Your travels and activities are quite interesting. My Thanks !!
Love watching you hike the PCT, but definitely film more of towns like Tahoe. Also, maybe film when the weather is bad at nite, or a nite chat before you go to bed with Bigfoot., but your call.. I look forward to every hike and video, just like to see a little more added. Stay safe, loved watching since the APT, stay 💪.
Wondering if you have encountered HikingDancer in ypur travels? She seems to be pretty close to you and Bigfoot, depending on the video upload delays you both have. You 2 groups are the only 2 I'm following on the PCT. I have followed you when you 1st started putting up your hammock content long before you AT adventure.. Keep on trekking.
I watch on this an my regular channel. I am always curious as to the date of filming in addition to the day #. Keep it up! Love your videos!!! Thanks, Dave
Patrick nailed it its your channel and your hike. Certain videos will appease some and other they can find ones that appease them. Key is to enjoy this experience and if that means shorter videos so you can just hike then do it
Don’t hike too close to one another if you’re going to be using snow covered pine trees as handrails. There could be dangerous snow wells around them and you don’t want to both fall in.
We're here to share your experience on the PCT. Part of that is town, zero's, hard-days, easy days. and Big Foot. Show it all. Except Big Foot. No-one needs to see all of Big Foot :D
Town clips are cool, especially when you share great meals & unique places, the views of the mountain ranges are spectacular. Q? How and when do you obtain permits, pre trail or as you reach particular areas?
The PCT permit covers all permits up the trail, the only other one you need is the California fire permit for a stove. You can hike the PCT in it's entirety if you get the individual permits though but there's a lot of logistics involved in that. Some even require visits to off trail ranger stations.
What was it that caused you to send your ice axe home? Just curious if it was posts on FACEBOOK or FarOut or… Great videos, hope the knee is hold in there.
I like to see video from towns. Some of it is interesting to me some not. It's easy enough to skip parts that's not interesting to me and it might be of interest to others. Can't see why it should bother anyone.
You do you, filmning wise. No point as i see it in pushing you to do some thing you not comfortable with. You doing just fine. Cant make every one happy. Cliche done.
It's your channel and your hike. Please video what you want. If folks don't want to see a particular part of a video (town), then they can skip over it. I am among the many that just appreciate you bringing us all along on this journey and whatever you can share with us.
I prefer the videos showing the hike to the towns, but it is absolutely Frozen's video, so he definitely should do whatever he likes.
We’re here to watch. It’s your show so film the way you like.
That's exactly what I was thinking. He is the one putting in the work, put the things that are interesting and memorable. If he shares why it is special, most will find it interesting

Absolutely!
"that's a big friggin lake" 😂 Tahoe Rim Trail is on the bucket list!
I agree with the comments I’ve seen - film what you’d like to! It’s your experience and hike - make the videos something you’ll want to watch back. I think it’s giving us all a good idea of the PCT.
I like the Zeros... those are well earned rest days.
Your hike, your videos. Do what feels right for you. I enjoy watching your experiences.
Doing a great job. If I had any complaints I wouldn't be watching. Can't wait for next video
I do enjoy seeing the re-supply items.
Personally, I enjoy the town and resupply days. Happy trails Frozen and Bigfoot.
This section sure looks beautiful!
You show us things that my wife and I would never be able to see otherwise. We love to see all the facets of through hiking. Thank you so much for sharing your hike with us.
Dideo... me and my husband as well. I am disabled and we can't wait for a new one..
Vlog your own hike. Share what you want to share. Just as long as we get to go with you! You rock!
I like seeing town footage but whatever you want to do! Definitely looks like less snow now hopefully lol. Definitely nothing like a good burger!
I enjoy watching the town days. As an aspiring thru hiker it’s helpful to see what you do. 😁

I am happy that you share your journey. Just keep doing it your way.
Really liked South Lake Tahoe when I was there many years back. Hiked in Desolation Wilderness
Your videos are great. The glimpse you provide of your journey is a gift. You inspire me to do some tough hikes and dream of the PCT.
I will echo several of the previous comments here. It’s your trip, film what you want. As someone who has always wanted to do that hike but never had the time I am enjoying all your content. You are gracious enough with taking us along on your hike. You’ve shared things I wouldn’t get to see, so I enjoy and thank your efforts!
I like seeing a mixture of scenes, towns and hikes, food and just relaxing at camp. Makes it a bit more interesting instead of just seeing mountains as beautiful as they are...
Noted!
Over 30 miles in one day!!! You guys are incredible. Please film what you like, love the vids!! Hope some day you escape the snow. Rock on!!
Your hike, keep filming what you want! I’m just along for watching and still here!!
Beautiful sunrise over Echo Lake!!!!
I love the hiking views!! The trail, trees, sunrise, sunsets, flowers and really amazing rocks!
Almost halfway!! Whoo hoo!!!
Binge watched all the videos in less than 4-5 days. Feels like I’m right there with y’all 🤍 love the videos!
Love just seeing you film whatever you feel is interesting enough to share. Sometimes the mundane moments can be memorable as I've found in my travels. Be safe and thanks for your hard work
Film whatever you feel like, Jason. I would like to see more nature and town time though but I am grateful for all that you share.

Yes, more town and resupply videos
Congrats on 1100! BTW, it's your story to film/tell.

You film whatever you feel like filming, bro. This is YOUR show, not ours....and I'll be here to support it regardless
Yes film towns
It is part of your trip
Even while sitting in my chair I find it very satisfying that you are racking up the miles again.
Keep showing the towns. It’s cool. It’s a good change of pace from the outdoors, and give us a little insight to what each stops looks like and the amenities they have !!!!
Stunning views! Thank you so much! I like a bit of town shots, what you've been doing is fine. Be safe out there!
The camera gear weight adds up, the town time spent on this channel is quite a sacrifice but you do It to share an amazing experience. vlog whatever you want, its a wonderful gift,
Thank you!

What and how you are filming, the content. is just right.
I've not been to Tahoe since I had a sales meeting there in 86'. I suspect the area may have changed some since then. Your travels and activities are quite interesting.
My Thanks !!
Film the towns. It’s cool to see different places.
I like the snips of the towns you stop in.
Enjoy your hike and film whatever you feel comfortable with! Safe travels.
I kind of watch PCT videos to see the PCT. If I wanted to see towns videos, I would look at other channels. So I think you’re doing great!
This is your story, you tell it how you want. We are just here for the ride. Nevermind the complainers.
Those views! You guys are crushin' it. 🐻🌲
Love watching you hike the PCT, but definitely film more of towns like Tahoe. Also, maybe film when the weather is bad at nite, or a nite chat before you go to bed with Bigfoot., but your call.. Definately show the "in town" sections as this is ALL about the PCT Experience...
I think you almost said “All that “💩”. Haha😂
He was so close. 😅
I watch on this an my regular channel. I am always curious as to the date of filming in addition to the day #. Keep it up! Love your videos!!! Thanks, Dave

Amazing 😮 view love the camp sites I know your having a great time I enjoy video I feel like I'm hiking with you keep it up and stay safe
Great videos. Feel free to skip towns. I'm here for the awesome scenery and to live vicariously.
Go!
Rest up. No need to film every town activities for me. You are making good trail time. Congratulations.
You are rocking this! So impressive.
Don’t hike too close to one another if you’re going to be using snow covered pine trees as handrails. There could be dangerous snow wells around them and you don’t want to both fall in.
Your videos are great. Keep up the good work.
We're here to share your experience on the PCT. Part of that is town, zero's, hard-days, easy days. and Big Foot. Show it all. Except Big Foot. No-one needs to see all of Big Foot :D
😂 We all enjoy Bigfoot.
I like town days as much as days on trail.
You need to make postcards and sell them
More town stuff. Brings back a lot of memories for me. PCT 22
Town clips are cool, especially when you share great meals & unique places, the views of the mountain ranges are spectacular.

🌲🌲. Sasquatch Country
Film the town food my favorite part 😅😅😅
Why the daily high mileage? Why not do less so you are dead at day's end?
I'd extremely enjoy just video of you walking the trail, not necessarily talking if you don't choose to, I love the scenery
I like more town stuff!
Too many beers???
I like to see video from towns. Some of it is interesting to me some not. It's easy enough to skip parts that's not interesting to me and it might be of interest to others. Can't see why it should bother anyone.
You should be reading Kerouac while in Desolation Wilderness. Him and ole Japhy. Don't film town.
We appreciate not seeing your zero/town days. We like to see scenery. That being said, film what works for you.
You do you, filmning wise. No point as i see it in pushing you to do some thing you not comfortable with. You doing just fine. Cant make every one happy. Cliche done.
