Personally, I think sharing this hike with your friends and family for years to come is a greater reward than any title. It’s YOUR specific legacy, no one will have the same story as you. And you get to share it with loved ones, your kids will love hearing these stories and one day share them with their kids. That’s so special.
I’m 60 yrs old and have been hiking in North America for the last 30 yrs. I wanted you to know that you have been inspiring me to do more. I’ve booked a trip to Mount Washington and will be doing part of the Presiidential Trail. Here’s to keeping on keeping on! Thank you!! I’m considering the John Muir trail next yr
Quadzilla, hiking the AT, had a similar shoe heal issue. The piece of plastic cut his heal and ended up with a major infection requiring expensive medical care.
@@WalkingwithWendy Depending on health insurance - or lack thereof - as well as the antibiotics and shot in question, that could be anywhere from a $25 copay to $1000+. Giving an estimate or range would do far more to illustrate your point.
It's all about hiking a trail to get from point A to point B, and if sections of the trail are not safe then an alternate course is required. Enjoy your hike Frozen!
Welcome to Oregon, Jason and Bigfoot! Glad you were able to stop stressing and just enjoy your hike. Awesome on paying it forward with the o-ring, I'm sure that guy is super grateful. Safe travels.
I’m sure several subscribers are disappointed to hear Big Foot has a girlfriend. It is wonderful to see you so peaceful, Jason, like you just meditated. Magical. It is always there for you.
These are great videos , thank you for sharing your journey. You ARE a Thru Hiker man , 100%. If you’ve got to take some detours for safety reasons , then so be it . Keep going !
A good day Jason. P;ease enjoy your hike the way you want to. Man im glad you are connected with Bigfoot. Yall are so good together out there. Its whats making the hike from where im lookin. Keep being smart and safe out there. You have come so far and it is still doable for sure. Good deal sir.
Great videos! I'm really enjoying hearing and seeing about all the things that you get to see! I love that Bigfoot is warming up to being videoed! Would love to hear his story too! Keep up the good work! Originally saw you on Kyle hates hiking so I'm new to watching you! It was fun that you ran into him!
Been following you for years now , you must be safe 1st of all. yes your plans might have to change but it is what it is. You are still a Thru - hiker all the way .
Hi Jason there is a lot of extreme temperatures all over the country here in Florida too. ( I wonder if that could be due to global warming?) Take care out there.
still catching up// : 10+ years watching and meeting PCT hikers- NO ONE can get to every mile. there is always some fire closure, re route or some reason why people have to skip a few miles here and there, it's just not physically possible to hike the trail end to end in one season unless you want to do some major flying back and forth // some of the Best pct videos ever i might be a little biased here as a long time fan but you are REally good at making these videos your experience shows// and i bet you learned / that was smoke yeah...
If you didnt find Delirium in Ashland and Bigfoot is still cravings some Belgium Beer go into Bend and vist Monkless Brewery. Hints from Benihana- PCT Class of 2021.
When trail runners first came out, it was revolutionary. You could just walk through water crossings. The big toe box was a boost, too. Now, I won't go near them. They wear out to quickly, and they cost too much. I wear lightweight hiking boots and wear Crocs for water crossings. I think the trail runner people had a good thing going, but then they decided to cut corners and "shave" things here and there. That heel issue you had could have ended up being debilitating. There is just no excuse for such low-quality design/workmanship at those prices. I can't prove it, but that's what my experience has been. That's what happens when people start listening to the bean-counters.
Please, please don't do the talking over music thing. I like your videos because you don't do them. I am hard of hearing and music makes it very hard to understand what your saying.
I am a fan but you skipped part of the trail that was open and you chose not to walk an alternate; thus, not a thru hiker. Doesn't mean you're not having a great hike. No hate.

People don’t define you, you define you.
Glad you feel good physically and mentally!! Stay strong and be safe!!
I also follow Quadzilla who had the same issues with those shoes. Glad you rectified it. Keep up the good work!

Worst year for fires in Or and Wa.
Someone needs to tell us what movie was on. In the hotel.
Pet Detective!!
Was wondering what Pack do you have & tent ⛺️?
LiteAF 40L full frame and zpacks Plex solo tent.
Ace Ventura Pet Detective ( looking for Dan Marino ). Also, can I get bonus points for Samsonite? LOL

Einhorn is Finckle… Finckle is Einhorn!!!!! 😢
Don’t know if this question has been answered but do you think you can use a hammock for the rest of your hike?
Yea I do think so starting in norcall
