is this a fair representation to train in if i just bought the dji fpv drone? dont have iphone for the fpv app, so if i become good in liftoff i should be ok with flying manual with the dji fpv irl? and dont mess with any of the settings?
Hello. Definitely start in a simulator. The transition to real flying will be very easy. Just make sure that you don't crash in the simulator because you can get used to crashing 😉. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!
i dont know why i cant get my drone to accelerate in the simulator lol it just goes up and down or barrel rolls and in S mode the right stick is inverted? in my drone in S mode left stick is for altitude and right for acceleration not the case here in sim....weird
Hello. You have to assign the axis to your controller in the game like you have them in real life. This is under the controls settings in the game. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!
@@M1R0_Life_through_a_lens sir I mean when I play it shows the drone moving forward I just want to see the joystick view option only but I could not find the option I mean I don't want to see the drone itself moving forward I only want to see camera view option as you fly in your video sorry my English is not good enough hope you understood what I mean sir
Hello. No but I think you can assign the mode button in the game to switch between flight modes ingame. I think the default keyboard button is "a". Thanks for the comment. Cheers!
Hi I just got my dji fpv drone package.. before purchasing I chatted with dji in the live chat to confirm I could use the dji fpv controller 2 in sims before activating the drone (I want to practice fully with liftoff and the dji sim before flying the drone for real and want to do that before activating as I may still want to add dji refresh care before activating (& can't do that after activating of course) but want to see how I get on with the sim first before activating.. however on plugging the djifpv controller 2 into my pc under game controllers it just says HID interface when it's plugged in and nothing is responding in liftoff when trying to calibrate the controller.. are you aware if I can use the controller in liftoff before officially activating it with dji? Thanks
Hello. I'm not sure if activating has anything to do with this. Have you tried the asign the axis to the controller joysticks in the game? It's not set by default so you have to set the yaw, roll,... to the sticks manually. Oh. And you have to turn the controller on of curse 😉. Hope this helps. Cheers!
@@M1R0_Life_through_a_lens I tried assigning the axes after turning on and plugging in the controller but no response..I hope I can still use without activating my drone.. think I have to do something with the assistant before the controller becomes usable in the sim.. just hope that something doesn't activate it
I just bought the drone and when calibrating the controller it stays in the step of centering the joysticks. Do you know how I can continue with the calibration? Thanks!
Hello. It's not exactly the same as in real life but it's close enough to get you started 😉. I find it to be better than the official flight sim. from DJI. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!
Hello, I don't speak English, I will use a translator, I wanted to know if this simulator is Compatible with Avata or if it is enough to practice with any other drone to fly Avata later? I see that it is compatible with the dji fpv controller, thanks! 👍
Hello. You should set up your DJI FPV controller just like any other controller. Set the pitch, yaw, roll by assigning them to the corresponding stick movements. Cheers!
Hello. If you talking about the game, then you press the "a" button on the keyboard - not sure if it is "a" ;) In real life you have to assign the manual function to the "M" button in the remote controller in the remote controller settings in the goggles. Then you can access the manual mode BUT also turn of the altitude limiter in the menu where you set the controller rates. Then it works. This is a safety feature so that people that never flew an FPV drone manually don't crash it the first time ;) Hope this helps. Cheers!
I just bought the same setup. i wanted to know how similar it is to the real thing. And your video was straight to the point. Thanks. I have to go and practice a lot in the simulator.

Hello. Will check it out. I'll get back to you... Cheers!
Hello sr! How the DJI FPV going? It takes the hits? The bracers work? Thanks have a nice day
Hello. The bracers help about 20-30% If it falls with speed, it's gonna brake. It's not like a standard homemade FPV. Best advice: don't crash 😉
I also want to try lift off for dji
Is it free or paid and how to download
Hello. It's a free DLC pack if you have the game.
You can find this on steam:
store.steampowered.com/app/1891780/Liftoff__DJI_FPV/
Have dji fpv, tried this liftoff. So... Its behavior is absolutely different, especially in coordinated turns
