    To get an idea of what to expect on this channel:
    Hi dear! On this channel I will share my journey with you how NOT to die from anorexia... I am still alive by the grace of God. I have suffered from all kinds of eating disorders since 30 years (!!) now. It is a miracle that I am still alive! And though I seem to be 'at my last end', I will keep trusting that I am still alive for a reason. One of which is to share my story with you. I will give all I have to give as long as I keep breathing. And I hope that you can use it for the better to prevent you and/or your beloved to suffer as much from this disease as I have. Topics I certainly will address: anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, orthorexia, intestine issues, intolerances, fear, anxiety, what I eat in a day, panic attacks, urges, overeating, undereating, purging, medical help, hospitalisation, inpatient treatment, outpatient treatment, twelve step program, spirituality, Higher Power... and so much more! Subscribe and like not to miss out on anything.

    YES i am so proud of you for pushing through! Stay at the hospital! Let go of control, this is what you have been praying for! Please trust the doctors - it is their job to keep you alive! Please don't say you HAVE to eat in the middle of the night. You GET to. you GET to eat! Bc you are alive! Eating in the night for a ,,normal'' brain is totally fine - it is your disorder talking

Allowing the outside in, allowing another to help you, is so hard. Angelique has surely gathered a world of courage to stay where she is right now. It’s so so huge. I am beyond proud of you for staying! I remember years ago when I had to go to rehab for iv drug use, I deliberately chose a rehab place on top of a mountain in Spain as I just knew I needed to do as much as possible to stop myself from running away. I can still remember the internal battle I had to face and overcome. Let's just say I was extremely dramatic, lots of tears and tantrums. Lots of emotions being released that had built up over years. Just give in to them, feel everything you need to feel. I can see you are stronger today than yesterday, you have earned a piece of armour. Its just lots of little battles, usually in the dead of night when you're alone that you do most of the fighting....and WINNING. Keep us updated and always share your feelings, your story is immensely important. Hugs from England. X

    Sometimes staff can sound harsh when indeed they are reiterating the same instructions each day thereby helping to create a continual pattern of self care (of course your 1st week you have to work that out together) . When you get sad, week, angry, etc.try to speak boldly with yourself rather than with defeat. When food was my medicine, I added cheese to lots of things and kept some peanut butter around for a spoonfull when myvsugar got too low. Good luck.

    Hello sweet fighter. I am 14 years recovered from a 23 year long eating disorder. I've had FULL freedom from my ED for 7 of my 14 recovered years. I started doing EMDR 7 years ago, 7 years into my recovery, to address the trauma that was still stored and preventing full freedom and it was my miracle and allowed me to have true freedom from my eating disorder. When I settled into active recovery about 10 years ago (it was 4 years of struggle before I fully got the hang of recovery) I became a social worker. When I found my freedom through EMDR, I knew my purpose was to share it and help others heal. So I went back to school and got my MSW at age 42, and today I'm an EMDR/trauma therapist specializing in domestic violence and eating disorders in my own private practice. I could have NEVER guessed I would be a therapist who helps others heal from ED. I could have never EVER imagined having actual freedom from my ED. But I knew I wanted recovery and I wanted freedom and I wanted a life of purpose and joy so I took it ONE MOMENT AT A TIME. I took it second by second by second when I first entered residential treatment those 14 years ago. And when I got the hang of recovery 4 years after going into treatment, I still took it one moment at a time. And when I was recovered for those first 7 years and wanted true freedom, I took it second by second and moment by moment. And during my EMDR journey, I took it second by second and stayed present in the moment and did not let myself search for future outcomes. And today, I have a life where I am able to live in the truth of my life AS IT IS, in the present and in the moment. Even if the moment is one of sadness or anger, I am able to stay present in that moment because I have the solid foundation of a truly healed mind. And every single day, as I live life in the present moment, I have JOY and PURPOSE. Even when I go through really hard things, I have joy and purpose. Just take it one SECOND at a time. If you take it one second at a time, eventually you will be able to take it one minute at a time and eventually you will be able to live every day in the presence of your life, as it is without being stuck in your mind in the past fear and trauma and without fear of the future. You'll be able to be present without worrying about potential future hardships and trauma and live in the present of life without trying to avoid pain and traumas that haven't happened yet in an attempt to feel safe...you will have TRUE internal safety, security, stability and love that come from within YOU and are not dependent on other people or circumstances and THAT is true freedom.

    So proud of you for staying at the hospital, finding your rational side and your own stubborn determination to get well, realising that for now that means staying at the hospital and going through the tough bits but BECAUSE you will reach your future goals with Gods help. The love you are searching for will find you but firstly you have to love yourself and believe in yourself, you don't need love from those nurses. NO! from your higher power, this wonderful community and people you will meet in your future. Keep positive and radiating positivity and you will attract it back (yes even to the staff as hard as it is) ❤️✨🌈 you are a beautiful soul but when the anorexia gains control like yesterday it creates fear and distress and anger. That is not the real Angelique.
    What I did to brighten up my room was get fluffy blankets, cushions, colouring paper and pens and made positive quotes and affirmations to surround me. You are such a strong person in character so I know you will be able to get through this hospital admission. We are all here for you and with you. Upload as much as you need xx
    Ps the weird blood sugar drops are common in refeeding. It happened to me too. They called it "dumping syndrome" but it rectified fairly quickly so go with it and as you say, let go of the things beyond your control as it's wasting your precious energy ❤️ at least now above 3 there's no need for extra glucose or meals 🙏
    I noticed yesterday when you were at the window and today that there is light shining in on you. Even in your darkest moments. This is God's light 🙏✨❤️ take care Angelique xx You CAN do this 💪❤️
    Ps how I coped too was to be visited often by the hospital chaplain. Maybe if you ask there may be someone who can come and see you there to pray and someone who is not involved with the medical/refeeding side of things xx
    Focus on the nice foods to enjoy eating at the end of your hospital stay. Hospital food in the Netherlands sounds as bad as in the UK but you have to see the funny side of it. Like the disintegrating broccoli. I had these "omelettes" that were like leather and impossible to cut and chew. Honestly they could do some damage if thrown like a boomerang! 🤣 Other meals were unrecognizable so I used to play a mental game of "guess the meal" and give a critique and score out of 10, lol.... ANYTHING to get me through it!!!!
    Loved the quote of the day as it's so true. it's very easy to look back at our old lives with nostalgia and forget all the negative things that were going . Living in the moment and focusing on the here and now will definitely create a more positive future. For now live in the moment 😊❤️

I've watched all of your videos and you really have a great intrspective and the ability to explain your situation and feelings to us. I can understand you, i think. Especially now in the hospital, where you came for help, but didn't get any emotional support. This can make you feel even more lost and alone. Unfortunatelly treating our mental helth is still far from ideal. Allover. Not enough money, doctors, emotional support etc. And it's good that you realized, that they can mostly give you just medical help. Better than nothing, you need it. You just need to take the best you can get and this hospital is the best thing at the moment. And I am sure, you will slowly start to feel better. It was such a relief to see you today, looking so much better than yesterday. It's a success. And you made a difference in your thinking, bravo!

    Hi girl, popping in to see how you are getting along 💚 Eat when they offer you food, even in the middle of night. I have gone through anorexia and know the strong reluctance to eat when offered is part of the eating disorder. It's scary letting go of the control but that's the hurdle you need to climb over. To get better you need to go against the fear of eating. I know that fear is strong so you need to be strong now. I remember being in fear of losing control, fear of eating too much so I'd gain weight, because that meant to me that I was no longer in control and food was the only thing I could control (I was abused by my parents and heavily controlled, so food intake was the only thing I could control). I had to fight the urge to burn calories after eating too. That too was an obsession, to move a lot to burn the calories of anything I ate. It's an obsession. Go against that obsession.

      @Asa-wv1zb Год назад

      @@moladhdodhia164 ...it's something a psychologist can explain to you in greater detail, the why, but in short the explanation is this; eating disorders like anorexia is very common among girls that have suffered abuse as a child, sexual abuse or other. Abused children are heavily controlled by the abusive parents and when these children can't control the situation they are in with the abuse they are put through they resort to controlling the only thing they can control, which is food.

      @@moladhdodhia164 ..that's down to her bipolar disorder. A person with bipolar disorder act recklessly during their manic episodes and sometimes they even endanger their own life or the lives of people around them. Remember that she can't control her actions during episodes of mania and they often self-medicate with drugs or alcohol to try regulate their mood swings. The bipolar disorder itself can develop from childhood trauma, such as her being subjected to sexual abuse or other. Scientists say this could be because childhood trauma and distress can have a big effect on your ability to manage your emotions.

    Hey Angelique, I don't know if it is reverse diabetes. I recognize the hypo story from when i was in this a few years ago. At home, where i ate less, i didn't have them, while i did get them in the hospital. The hypo's by day dissapeared after a few days while those a night stood for approximatily three weeks.Your body is just deregulated It seems like as if it is getting better for you but if you still need to wake up at night, it maybe helps to plan a (nutri drink) meal at night, because a planned one gives less stress. And it is good to see that you are a lot more positive today! i really hope for you that you can organise a helpful caring place for after this intern treatment

I have found many videos on RUclips that deal with the subject. By studying sugar diabetes for my mother I have understood how to lose weight and keep my insulin under control without even having the condition. I will try to send you a few videos that have helped me understand the sickness. In particular I watch dr. Bergs and Denise Polaccos' videos. You are right when you say that you will have to study the subject just like who is trying to lose weight by controlling one's insulin and weight.
