I’m 57. Graduated in 84. This song hurts to hear. Huge house parties with no cell phones with cameras thank god. The stuff we did is in our memory banks. If I could I would go back and never leave!!
Well I’m 67. One of my favorite 80’s song. Remember hearing it the first time. Just hit me in the most beautiful way. He was such a unique talent. All those fans before portable phones. Living the moment. Now I see everyone trying to capture the moment more than living it. They really were the best of times. Always try to live in the here and now. Your memory can visualize it and hear it anytime you wish.
Just 20 years behind you. Blessed beyond measure to have had a toe dipped in that time - enough to miss it and smile at your beautiful words. The 80s wasn’t a time. It was a place. And I’m so glad I lived it as a kid rather than try to just capture it. 🫡
few years younger than you and remember seeing the video first. Made the same impression. And for sure regarding the youth of today. Its not living its existing. And it is causing mental health issues, isolation and anxiety to not be embracing and living life.

We loved it in the 80s, during our young adulthood and I just turned 57 recently and still love this song and pretty much most music from the 80s, the best era in music and entertainment in general.

Like anyone who listened to music in the 80's, I curse at my headphones for not being loud enough. I should be the one who decides if I want to damage my hearing! It made it through the 80's, concerts, loud cars, and a Pioneer Stereo with four speakers!
