I ended up getting a Yamaha r1 2006 5,000 miles. its helped me a lot mentally. it isn't the newer model I wanted but its such an amazing bike and a beauty. thank you for being one of the reasons I decided to get on a bike, its the one thing that cant me here with how hard its been for me after the military. thank you brother, biggest smile on my face again.

One thing I have learned over many years of living on earth and buying used vehicles. When taking a vehicles for a test ride, take it on a longer ride and make sure that vehicle goes at a much higher speed you would normally ride. 2 times in my life I have found problems with a truck or bike I bought after it was said and done.

Hey man. Before you had the trailer, what would your protocol be for getting the bike back home? I'm potentially buying my first bike from a private seller about 45mins away. Do you just keep the title on you in case you get pulled or maybe put old tags on it?
this is probably terrible advice but when I buy bikes I just ride it back home with no tags. If I get pulled over the title should have the date of sale (which would be literally the same day you bought it). Don't know if that's good enough in a cop's eye to get away but eh lol
you can rent a U-Haul trailer or truck and buy straps that's how I used to transport bikes before I got a trailer if you absolutely had to you could ride the bike back home if you get pulled over show the police the title and let them know you just bought the bike and your taking it home best to have screenshots of you and the sellers conversation to quickly back up that story

that's a good deal at 8k due to the bike having such low miles the bike is basically brand new though if your patient 6k should get you a very nice Daytona
