Now that was a nice mowing vid!!! and your grass is 🔥🔥🔥😊🤙🏾🙏🏾
Thanks brah ❤️
I used my mower with economy blade then switched to performance blade. I saw a huge difference and would recommend the change on your mower right away!
I never even cut with the economy one. First mod I ever did lol
I have the 22" vortex recycler and have been using a replacement toro blade meant for the gas version. It is slightly longer but have no issues. The mower runs in high rpm a lot more and also drains battery a bit faster.
@@WatsitTooyah yeah I would curious to see the spec differences between the gas and battery mower blades, if there is one
@@TheLawnMentor I thought I just to buy a replacement 22" recycler blade and it turned out to be about half an inch longer on each side. Basically the same geometry otherwise.
The deck has the room, it's tighter but works fine.
Got it. Very interesting!
You guys are great always keeping it real
Appreciate that man!
We're like Laurel and Hardy 🤣🤣🤣
Loving mine so far! Cut quality is fantastic, bagging is significantly improved over standard 60v models, and mulching really munches up the grass into little bits. I do feel like the QC on these leaves a bit to be desired. Left front wheel ever so slightly higher than the rest (1/16 - 1/8 of an inch)... my handlebars are slightly "bent" to the left as well. I opted not to return as neither issue is egregious, but still something I've noted. I too wonder how long the little plastic retainer on the battery door will hold up before it breaks off like yours did. No sure why they went to that style -vs- their previous 60v design where the spring pushes the door closed instead of open.
EDIT - Forgot to say... no driveline sqeuaks on mine.
Might just be the belt on mine being to be roughed up. I blame the lack of care on the delivery company’s part to be honest
@@TheLawnMentor One reason why I stayed with Toro though... parts parts parts! New belt is less than $15. And if I ever need anything else (blades, bags, wheels, etc), I can walk into any mower shop and typically find it if I don't want to wait and online order. Not saying other brands don't make good products, but everything breaks at some point... and most of the other e-mower manufacturers don't stock parts in local shops. That is, if they even keep making the parts after 3-4 years.
I have to completely agree with that. When I rebuilt my Timemaster, I had no issues finding parts and my Timemaster was very easy to work on as well
I just got one also and my wheels are the same way . but I do really like the mower
@@TOML0856 that makes three of us then!
my personal pace belt just flew off again...I'm about to throw my SR gaser in the pond
That Aussie guy was great in the video
Yeah CROIKE she was great
🤣😂🤣😂
what's the issue with the squeaky belt? Have heard several complaints about that same issue ???
I think the belt is glazed and just needs some conditioner
Nice looking mower. Get your hands on the Milwaulkee M18. I layed my Honda HRX217 to rest. Keeping the Ego though because I'm on board with battery.
I’d love to try it out!
I have had a WORKSE 40v the two 20v battery for about two months. I got it's because thay are running so many specials on them because of the 48v that everyone has now. I can't believe how great it is wish I had got one long time ago and if you think that mower is quiet the 40v is quieter than a weed eater.😳😳😊😊😊😜😜😜
How big is the yard that you cut with it?
@@TheLawnMentor If you nock that dranig dich off it, about the same as the one your mowing.
So maybe 2,500
@@TheLawnMentor 5000 sqf
Are headlights auto turn on? Mine doesn’t have a switch on ignition for lights? Am I missing something?
They’re automatic! They turn in when the blades and engaged and shut off when not.
Mine always leaves stragglers, tried both blades doesn't seem to matter.
Do they hang out on the edges of your pass of straight down the middle?
@@TheLawnMentor
Randomly all over, always leave it on max power, slow pace. The higher you cut the grass the worst it is. I think I might have to order the high lift blade.
Yours should have come with a performance blade. Did you switch over to that?
@@TheLawnMentor
I did switch to that one, no better. I guess there is a high lift blade that you can order. I will get it next spring and hopefully it will be a better cut. Love the mower but so far the cut quality isn't as good as my gas
You’ll have to let me know if that blade makes a difference for you
WD-40 takes care of squeaks ;) how's the runtime?
So far so good! Only use half the battery to mow the front
@@TheLawnMentor how many sq ft is that?
Just shy of 5k sq ft
Looks nice, cuts nice 👍🏼.... crocs and socks 👎🏼
🤣🤣
Ohhhhhh bite me hahahahhaa
I have the exact same model. The first one was returned to Home Depot because the prongs on the base of the mower near the back that attach to the personal pace handlebar were bent. Also the battery and charger didn’t appear to be new all the seals were broken the boxes were beat up and there was visible wear. It appears since it shipped directly from Toro in El Paso they sent me a used unit or refurbished. Extremely disappointed as a first time Toro purchaser.
Yeah I would have been really unhappy with that..hopefully Toro put it right for you
Wow what a horrible experience!!!! The only thing that happened with mine is the battery door latch (tiny plastic piece on the upper shroud) was broken on arrival. So I took the spring off the cover so that it won’t keep opening
@@TheLawnMentor so I just used the mower for the second time after this video and I also hear the belt. Please let me know if you find anything out about this.
@@livendi3229 I’ll be sure to include it in my review! I also can hear the gear box clicking while engaging personal pace. Might be normal, but it’s something you have to get used to when you don’t have the noise of a gas engine anymore
@@TheLawnMentor mine makes the same noises. I agree I think it’s totally normal just not covered up by a gas motor. Awesome mower so far. I think the belt noise is slowly fading after a couple cuts. Wondering if it’s just some glaze from manufacturing.
