I have a an old gas powered Toro super recycler and it's one weakness is bogging down on long grass. I have been waiting for Toro to come out with a battery super recycler along with a battery that will last for a full mowing. I think this is it, good review!
I'm 49 seconds into the video and I'm commenting because you seem like a nice guy. I bought the same lawn mower today so I don't know why I'm watching this since Home Depot already has my money.
I have used a toro commercial 19 inch gas mowers... this past spring I bought this mower and it came with a 6.0 AH battery. I can go full recycle without leaving clippings, but your lawn is much thicker than mine... I made a striping kit which also hurt the battery life.. but I love this mower so far.
I added a stripe kit to mine as well and can run full speed and mow my lawn 3 times on the 7.5 Ah battery 4 times if I don't pause much. I'm really pleased with it :)
@@NextLevelLawnCare that is very nice! I live on 1/3 acre in town lot and I can get mine done in one battery.. but I will shut it off to walk between yards
Great review! I think you just convinced me to buy one of these. I already have the Toro 60v two stage 26” battery snowblower, so I’m already set for extra batteries, and was wondering how the super recycler mowers were. Thanks!
In all fairness, a gas mower would have bogged down just the same cutting that much off and it sounded as though the ground was pretty wet?? I have a gas super recycler and it has it's limits but they're awesome mowers, especially if you prefer to mulch. There's no beating the personal pace system. It's fantastic. Great review Caleb, well done. 👊🏼
Considering the markup on the Toro batteries al-a-carte vs. included in the kit, I'd never pass up the included 7.5A or 6A battery in the heavier Toro 60V line (even if I already had one that size). It might be worthwhile to shave some money on the lighter tools that come with the 2.5A or 2A batteries by just getting the bare tool though.
i would imagine there is some type of blockage, if the bottom of the deck becomes too built up with debris it will lose suction. make sure especially the area the mulch plug goes (between bottom of deck and bag attachment point) is cleaned of debris buildup.
Toro does make a 5 amp rapid charger for these batteries, but I haven’t been able to find one in stock anywhere. The standard 2 amp charger seems to work pretty well though.
i don't believe i did till after this video. as far as runtimes id estimate a 15% reduction in battery life. ive re cut at my parents house, the larger property and i run out of juice every time on the last strip.
Side discharge makes a difference with my gas Toro 7.5hp. I usually mulch, but occassional (when I let the grass grow too long) it bogs down and I put the side discharge on it!
Someone claimed that he could push this mower without using the self pace feature. Does this also exist with the metal deck recycler version instead of the super recycler?

Yea that cut quality looks much better than ego. Good review. 👍
Excellent cutting job. I will buy one soon in this year of 2022.1/10/2022
Awesome to hear! You'll love it

2:20 into the video and it already bogged down and died. Nice... hope I didn't buy a $800 pile of garbage!
@@xwright haha thanks for the comment, I honestly love my mower, you'll be thrilled with it.

and also I bag the front yard and mulch the rear. I dont know if that effects battery life

i can honestly say, after my first year of mowing with it 2-3 times a week. i love it!

Oh absolutely a gas mower would have bogged. no not wet hadn't had water in 2 days. In Thrilled with this thing.

Yeah quite a difference in how they price them
Agree
Big batteries suck in large tools tho
Front yard is denying you... shame. You are correct about the battery though.. Ha ha ha. Great review.
Sure did, but having the big battery that shouldn't happen anymore. :)
We have a Toro personal pace smart stow gts 163cc lawn mower. The grass is not going in the bag. What would be the problem?

Do they have a rapid charger yet ?
How long does it take to charge up the battery ?
It's about 2 hours to charge the 7amp hour battery.

Cutting beautiful grass way too short 😮
Did you change the blade from eco to performance at some point in this video?

@@NextLevelLawnCare got it. It seemed like you had a good amount of clumping that went away once you’d finished the area.
I wonder how that thing would have done side discharging? Bummer it crapped out on you like that. Sweet lookin machine though!
It does come with a side discharge attachment. Ive just never seen a reason to side discharge except a clean up scenario.
@@NextLevelLawnCare and you liked the flex handle? It was weird for me to get used to
@@TheLawnMentor felt amazing to me.

How many RPMs at the blade on the battery mower?
I dont know rpm. But I've heard of 200mph blade speed. But never been able to test or confirm that number.
Either way its fast! Faster than my gas mower.
2600 - 2800, I’ve found. Very close to gas version.
Don't even think about a 2.5 amp battery. 6 at least.
Someone claimed that he could push this mower without using the self pace feature. Does this also exist with the metal deck recycler version instead of the super recycler?
should be the same.
My ego mower would dominate that cut. Don’t make excuses for that thing!
Thanks for your comment, ego makes a great product too! But I do love my super recycler.
I wish I could afford one 😔 but I cant
Get performance blade.
I have one I'll throw it on soon :)
Is he having an affair with the mower?
Why do all these videos scalp the grass😊
Look at that environment friendly, NOT
