For the first case, I agree with Meosha, OP should offer a discounted amount, for a set amount of time. It’s in her best interest to try to alleviate the situation, if she’s able to. Stress can make cancer worse. And OP should definitely save her money for the future especially if alimony is her only income. She gotta get that hate out of her heart too😂😂
NTA to me. Sucks to hear he has cancer, but he cheated, and it's just karma doing her work. If they need the money they can sell their house and get a smaller one. They gotta learn how to downsize. Health is more important than luxury.
First sorry: it’s not the responsibility of the ex wife to adjust her lifestyle to accommodate her ex husband. It seems the new wife would do anything to help her husband financially, like OP said, they can lower their lifestyle, sale their home, etc. If she does agree to lower the alimony, I’m sure it would be difficult to go back to the original plan.
