Claudication It refers to the pain in arms or legs muscles while walking or movement Types... 1. Arterial or intermittent -- relieved by resting 2. Neurogenic--- pain at rest as well as during exertion 3. Venous--- due to pooling of blood in lowerlimb, dull aching pain
If you are talking about neurogenic claudication, they can have pain when sitting on a chair or lying down, that is basically at rest. Basically anytime when the vertebral spaces are narrow. Standing, walking, sleeping, sitting etc. when bent, space increase, compression of nerves decreases relieving the pain. So I’m not wrong :p
Pain at Rest for Venous Claudication : the calf muscles pump the blood when active (walking, running swimming, biking) & since the pain is caused by blood stasis, the symptoms Improve with Activity & Increase with Rest…💕
