- Hope you enjoy this weeks vlog, updating you on the plan for me and also for the ashcourt team going forward.
This video also includes Jesse unboxing and building his new wheels from amped bikes. Hopefully if any of you guys are after Christmas presents for your kids or family then this might give you an insight into how your amped bike comes, how it works and what to expect when unboxing it.
Thanks as always for watching and supporting!

Lee I'm a strong believer you get a WARNING! hope it all works out for you 🏍️😎regardless. Love watching yah, 👌🏍️🍺🍺
Excellent to hear you are planning to ride again, body permitting, I am sure you will get there!
Spoiler! Haven't watched it yet!😅
@@andrewthomas3326 A tip, watch the video then read comments.
@triumphdave2449 your comment was under the video picture. Only joking Dave!
@triumphdave2449 sorry firstcastac's comment was under the picture.
As I'm watching, Lee, just to say your commentary at Goodwood Revival was excellent, funny, informed, thoroughly enjoyable! Definitely something you could do more of if you chose to, seriously, and not just at Goodwood - with the riding, after you're done riding, whenever! Best of luck whatever, you're a credit to motorbike racing.
Thankyou for the honesty in this one been a long journey over the last few months. People speak without thinking first. Doesn't help sometimes. Loved watching the small biker...... a friend of ours has a 5year old son riding motorx and electric bikes. So exciting. Best wishes
Lovely to see a father teaching his son real skills ,how to use his hands.Great that you are recording these very special times with family, never had many pictures with my late dad . He's a very handy rider. glad the recovery is coming along Lee.
Onwards and forwards lovely chap 👍🏻
Would love to see Dom Herbertson on a super stocker
He,s definitely going to be a mechanic, that tongue was in the correct position every time!
Wish you all the very best for the future.
Fingers crossed 🤣
@@LeejohnstonEveryone knows the tongue is a precision instrument & also helps with concentration, focus!😋
haha the little tongue out when he was using the allen key. glad to see your recovery is coming on Lee.
Always look forward and enjoy your vlogs Lee
I’m so glad you didn’t say what I thought you were going to say. But whatever the decision is in the end, I’m sure it will be the right one and I will keep my fingers crossed along with thousands of others we get to hear the right one. All the best Lee 👍
I would love to ride for the team, only problem is I am 70 and even when I was racing I was crap!!!! Good luck getting fit again Lee… Looks like soon you will be managing your sons team!!!!
I hope 🙏 you get on the mend and we see you riding again,, they talked down others ,do what's right for you,, you will always have support,, from northern Ireland ☘️☘️☘️☘️ keep er light
Firstly, well done making this about Jessie. Great to see that relationship. Secondly, EVERYBODY wants you to trace again but your body will decide that. Whatever comes to pass, we are still fans. Kevin at Ebrington
Keeping fingers and toes crossed for you Lee!!if anyone can do it you can Best wishes!!
Youve a lot to be thankfull for Lee, youve come a long way in a reasonably short time given the state of your injuries, and we all know it could have gone 2 other ways, thankfully you got a second chance, if the test dosent go well see how it goes in the new year and go from there, another 6 months should be good for recouping your strength and mental health,. If it doesn't happen you could always be team manager (needed if ashcourt field several riders), comentator is another option and your pretty handy at bike restoration "srad suzuki" plus you got a great family and friends behind you and a beutifull house and some nice toys "Rgv 250" etc,.enjoy,.....
Thanks for the update. Hopefully it all works out and your back in the bike soon. ❤
Hi Lee, I don't know of a rider who has talked about his riding going forward with his racing and what he wants he wants to do with the team that he rides for and runs also.
I can only talk about what I see on your videos on RUclips and to be fair I cannot think of another rider that is so honest on how he is feeling going forward on what he wants to do and how his family feel about it all.
God bless you, keep doing what you are enjoying, you are really enjoying what you are doing with your lad and your wife, it's like a breath of fresh air watching your videos.
Your a credit to racing with the daily struggles that you show with your family with the videos you want the. Public to see.
God bless. 🙏
Thank you Lee and your wonderful family, I am wishing you all the very best in your efforts to regain you ride, but what ever the out come, one thing for sure is that little lad will raise your spirits,
We love ya Lee! Do what you can, when you can and we will all be here for ya!
Another good vlog Lee & Christie 👍 Jesse is a total star & it's great to see him so confident on the amped bike. Good luck with the test when you do it. Of course I would love to see you back at the sharp end racing. Supersport hasn't been the same without you in the championship & just hope you can get back to doing something you love & are passionate about.Positive vibes to ya as ever bud. All the best with the rider search too 👊
Outrageous that people say those comments to you that you’re packing in almost as a matter of fact. Some people don’t think before they speak unfortunately. You’ll be back racing Lee, because it’s your passion as well as everything else! Keep up the pyshio and loving the channel as always. That vlog of you riding again for the first time will be a special one 👍
Funny thing I'll be 70 in less than a month and recovering from a recent motorcycle racing accident myself. My perspective is you stay to true to who you are until you decide you are ready or need to move on.
I think when your time comes to stop racing motorcycles it won't be questionable in your mind. Your personality and ability to communicate is great asset and won't dissappear or quickly age out as physical skills do. I think you after racing career will be even more successful when you decide you want to leave racing as a rider.
Awesome to hear from you, mega to see the little lad buzzing with his new bike too.
Hope it all comes together Lee...wishing you the best........
My son is 7 and knows everything. I have been watching you for years. I wish I could ride like you. I have a S1000R BMW.
Bro what a lovely vlog. Beautiful family. I think you're going to feel that same joy when you do eventually get back on. Hopefully, your body will cooperate. Wishing you all the best. 4.00am N.Y. Up with a broken toe. Kicked the bookshelf by accident. Best of luck mate. Stay strong.
Enjoy what ever you do. Great comms from you from the Revival this weekend !
Good luck Lee. Like a lot of young boys, for a while Jesse seemed more interested in the empty box than the bike !
The wee man is good on the 🔧
Good to see you getting around better Lee … you’ve got this mate…
I know better than most what you’ve gone through, having gone through it myself.. keep attacking wee man 👍
Great vlog Lee, so good to hear your intention to return to racing if your shoulder allows. The section with jessie on his new bike was good fun.
GOOD LUCK WITH WHATEVER YOU DECIDE Lee GO FOR IT WHY NOT the sport needs your enthusiasm .
Fingers crossed Lee be mega to have you back on a bike.
Thanks Lee, for the update on your health you look and sound a lot better. Jess is a star on the Amped by way my grandchild would love one 😊
Great news that you're planning on racing on Lee ✊🏼💪🏼Love Jessie's leccy bike 👍🏻🍻
Wishing you all the very best for your recovery. As a former rider (& vintage racer) but now in a wheelchair, I know the frustration at not being able to ride, and also some people’s (well meaning but) thoughtless comments. You have a beautiful little family unit there, and at the end of the day that is what is important in life.
Be good to see you back on a bike. Fingers crossed all works out for you. You have come on leaps and bounds since your crash at the North West. Great to see Jesse with his new bike. He will be wizzing rounding that. He will soon be after Neils job.
Great to see you getting back to your old self Lee, slow and steady you've got plenty of time.
Where to start, really keeping everything crossed for you Lee, your followers want to see you do the business for a good few years yet! I was really impressed watching you comment on the Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy Race over the weekend, you're a natural mate, having the inside knowledge of the Pro riders makes the whole thing more enjoyable. Wee Jessie, f-ck me, for a 5 year old to ride like he does, he's definitely a chip of the old block. Really enjoy the way you treat you youtube subscribers like an extended family. Positive vibes and very best wishes to you, the Boss! & Wee Jessie.
That’s exactly what you are mate here every step of the way 👊🏻
Lee do not stop racing bikes you're fucking gifted an we can't end it like this !
You've got a few more TT wins inside 😊
@@Leejohnston Kind of you to say so Lee, loads of autumn bike rides with kiddo, a bit of jogging during the closed season & you'll be brand new mate! Is féidir leat é seo a dhéanamh!
Great to see your post, onwards and upwards Lee, And Jesse what a smasher he is, Best wishes to you all,
Thanks for the video Lee, nice to see you more mobile. Love to see junior so excited and helping daddy build his bike. Best of luck with the rest of your recovery Lee.👍👍
Great vid buddy, family life is great. Jessy is of lol. Hope you get your fitness back and get to ride again. 🙏🏼👍🏼👌🏼
Keep positive lee dude ... got everything crossed you make a full recovery mate
Top man, top family. Looking forward to seeing you back on a race bike soon, it’s clearly your passion, if it doesn’t work out at least you gave it 100% ignore dumb not thought through comments. We’ve watched you come full tilt down Bray Hill we know your commitment !✊🏍💨
Those bikes are so cool!
I was going to put my name forward .. but then you put that little caveat in at the end 😅
Thanks for the update 😊 best wishes to you and all the family.
It was lovely to see your little fella getting his new bike. He is a cool dude 🩵
Take care and heal well Lee 👍🙂
Jesse is definitely growing into a little Lee, can you imagine the vlogs in a couple of years😂 🙏 you get bike fit , I suppose it is what it is , as long as your fit and well that's all that matters.
Brilliant video, so good to see kids learning useful things. Take it steady in recovery 👍
Great vid Lee. We all would love to c u back. Do what is right for u!!! Wow Jesse is getting so big. He is going to be like u!!!!!
Happy you’re recovering well hopefully fully and able to race sooner than later. Loved the bi5 with Jessie don’t scratch the forks bit of old school parenting and working lovely lad.
Brilliant .
Great vlog Lee. Loved watching the lad build his bike, a future rider / mechanic for sure 👏🏻 👅
Only you will know if your competative. Keep positive Lee, we all hope to see you back next season.

Fingers crossed for the test in a few weeks, Lee. Best of luck to you, mate.
all the best for your recovery stick with it we are all rooting for you.
You got this young man!! Was brilliant seeing you interact with the little man!!
Great to see you're getting back towards full fitness Lee. Racing isn't the same without you. I have a 5 year old Grandson and your boy is so cool. All the best for the rest of your recovery Lee. 🙏 💪
Yes get back on a bike Lee. It will be hard. From my experience this year of double knee surgery the first time I went out on it after a couple of months was just awesome but very painful. The mental party of recovery gets overlooked but it's just as important. If you can't race then so be it but you will still be able to ride
Great stuff mate. Your situation and how you’ve dealt with it is inspirational. Can’t wait to see you on a bike again. Keep going at it. Your fans love what you’re doing racing or not. I still remember my young blokes reaction when we got him his first CR80. That stuffs magic.
Great vlog Lee and Christie. So much fun to see Jesse enjoying his new bike. The lad definitely has a bright future with you as his mentor. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to seeing you get back on the bike for testing and I hope your body heals up and allows you to follow your dream. Continued success to you and your family and looking forward to your next vlog.
The discipline you have will take you far whether as a motorcycle pilot or whatever - you can be very proud of yourself and your family❤❤
We're rooting for you, and wishing you the safest recovery Lee. Anyone who writes you off are just negative c*nts. keep 'er lit
Props to you dude! Be great to see you on a bike again when the time’s right!
Wishing you all the very best and hoping you get back out there 👍
Awesome to hear your working hard with physio and plan on returning if your body allows. Love Jesse new bike he has no fear, amazing and well behaved and loads of confidence, its a credit to both christie and yourself . commentary at Goodwood Revival was excellent and really enjoyed watching and listening to itv4 . Keep safe and smiling 😊
Lee it will take as long as it takes, if you want to be back and can come back fit you will be there and many many folks will be there to watch you race. Shoulder issues are just the worst - Jessie is just awesome mate.
A great Mum and Dad you both are to Jesse, wonderful to see! 👍👍
Great vlog Lee keep up the great work and get yourself fit and ready to ride again💪 great to see Lad and dad working together in garage 👍🏻❤️
Well put Lee we would like to see you Racing again 👍👍the little electric bike looks smart and Jesse can move it too keep the blogs coming
Lovely to see u on the mend lee , Jessie is the star of the future sign him up now Lee !!!. Take ur time with ur decision to ride , stay safe an smiling m8 great vlog again Chrissy lol . See u at oulton
At the end of the day Lee it’s only you will know if you’re fit enough to ride at the level that you want to win mate. Plus with a shoulder injury, it’s a bit of a ducker . I have one 30 years ago, but it was a brachioplexus so I’ve only got 40% movement in my left arm when some Tucker knocked me off my bike. 👍🏻
Hope to see you back on track soon Lee
Excellent vlog Lee I’m sure whatever route you take in the next chapter you will have all the support from family and friends and all your followers. Jesse is a superstar and looking pretty amazing on his new bike.
Great to hear you doing the commentary at goodwood for the bike racing👌
Thanks I really enjoyed it
Big man hugs and love to you Lee and your lovely family. You will recover and repair mentally and physically in time. 🍻👍
Loved to see you building the lads new bike with him 👌
Gonna be the mental hurdle I guess lee more than anything, i hope to see you back soon cos watching you ride a bike is pretty exiting. Good luck 🤞🙏
Cool.
Congrats on the new ride Jesse 👍👍👍
What ever you do lee
Hopefully your fitness will return and you can get back to racing
All the best mate
Awesome to see you doing so well. Love the video
Great vlog as ever . You will know when you are ready . Jesse steels the show again though 😂
Best of luck for the future whatever it holds for you . Hope you get back to where you want to be . 👍
whatever your future holds lee you will always be a legend and have my support
this has just reminded me I wanted to look at your flooring option again! good timing
Brooklands just made my weekend.
You and ben was a huge part 👍
Magnificent commentary ❤️😊
You'll get there lee, injuries are a fucker and lurk in the background. Hower your strong willed and the mental state is what will get you back racing again. Look how far youve come in such a short period.
Was awsome to hear you on Goodwood really awsome mate...I've had a massive crash when I was 20 3 years later mental strain and personal strain was somethink people couldn't get..what my biggest wish was in 2000s that we should of had more help not like today ❤ really happy for you mate..best thing your doing is talking about it and have a realistic outlook ❤
Lee, great to see you almost at the end of your long journey to recovery. Can’t wait to see you scratching again.
With regard racing for your team, I am 70 and last raced a TZ350 at Oulton Park in 1984, can’t get into my old leathers but will try to lose some weight….What do you think ? 😂 Great blog as usual and always a joy to see you and the family. 👍
Please take no notice of the negative vibes ,it’s only you knows how you feel inside body and mind We are all behind you no matter what you you decide .just take time to heal properly and we will you soon take care my friend
Awesome bud cheers 👍🏻
Its time Lee that heals an fixes things. Im exactly 2years, to the 12th sept of the multiple bones i shattered an broke. Getting stronger as time goes bye, tho its a tired body cos its working harderd doing the things i could easy. Can still do them though. An you will too, time is the healer. Oh, an been stubborn helps iv found. 😂
Let's hope so.
Nice one Lee, thanks 👍👍
You are made of tough stuff mate we all know you will be back racing asap and can't wait to see you challenge for top spot again rest up you bike racing warrior 👊😎👍
Best of luck Lee. If you ever hang the leathers up, please pick up the mic. Your commentary at the TT this year was absolutely outstanding! Informative, funny and more importantly, REAL! If I’m honest tho I’d rather see you on the bike! Best of luck bro. Hopefully we see you ripping down bray hill next year!
