GameMaker has an autotile system and I was going to make entire tilesets for each tile type and then realized I could make one tile for each type and add an outline. It was a time saver lol

It's important to recognize mistakes you keep making, and Vimlark's pretty good at that. I need to stop overscoping my games, I keep putting sound off until it's almost too late, I participate in too many game jams, etc.
Charming art, smart level design based around a clever mechanic… really cool entry, congratz on submitting! 👍

Wowie! I played this game yesterday and had a sneaking suspicion this was yours haha (I forgot to look at who made it)
IMO, the controls were perfect, level design was nice and the difficulty was really fun! I had a blast playing through the game!
Too bad about the 5th level :P

For my first Ludum Dare though, you entering compo just amazes me I couldn't do it (well not yet 😅)
I loved that game that is so good. Controls are good as well as the gun and the stunning of enemies got me. Although it is not a main mechanic. good game vim.
With only 6 seconds to spare... Wow. Enjoyed the special weekend stream of working on this as my schedule doesn't allow for watching as often anymore during the week.
An amazing game entry! It was a joy to watch you make this live on twitch as well.

Your game turned out really great. I would definitely look into autotiling. It saved me so much time afterI set it up about halfway through the jam, and I regret not doing it sooner.
It’s a pain I know too well. The panic of the deadline, I had like 15 seconds to submit my game once and just mashed my keyboard for the boxes I needed to fill in. ONE SECOND UNTIL DEADLINE ... (the game is called puzzling rewind btw)

Hey vimlark! What resolution you make your games in? 😁 Because when i have a big resolution the tilemap is so small. I wonder if theres a way to change the size of tilemap

I made a PICO-8 game like Downwell, called DEEPER. I'm really happy with it. :)
Vimlark: I felt that if I came up with an idea pretty quick, other people would have come up with it too.
Me: I just instantly stole BlackThornProd's game Necrobomb. And uploaded a devlog too. ;)
Honestly that game would just be sooooo cool if it was faster paced. The perfect speedrun game too
