Hello everyone! I hope you enjoyed this video! I wanted to let you all know I’m going to be posting a new chapter of my webcomic tomorrow! A week earlier than expected! If you want to catch up here is the playlist for all of the chapters: bit.ly/3gFigev ^u^ See you tomorrow!
You're not useless just because you can't draw/dont improve fast! No one is useless. You just need to keep going and practice. I also improve very slowly but I do, cause I keep practicing as much as I can. And you can do that too^^
You stick at it you'll be God at it( ╹▽╹ )😊✨!! I know that feeling of wanting to be good and trust me you'll get there😄✨ it just takes dedication and if you're dedicated enoughf you'll surly get there( ꈍᴗꈍ)👍✨!😉
I clicked on this video thinking it was an old one I hadn’t watched, but turns out it was posted today..RUclips PLEASE NOTIFY ME OF THESE THINGS, I’m begging you! Relating to this: There is something called change blindness. Basically you’ve seen your art so many times that when something changes, it is hard to notice it unless it is a major change you are conscious of. This is why redrawing and looking back at old art can help show the changes that were made, as it is a direct comparison, so it is easier to see the changes.
After you say this, I quickly went back to look at my old drawing. Most of my old drawings have a... Weird mushroom box-ish face shape... Mushroom hair... Three fingers.. 💀
I was feeling very sad because I have this image in my head but I can't reach it..... I can't even understand what I'm doing wrong....hoping this video helps!!! (Also big fan!!😄) Thanks for the heart!!! I will keep your tips in mind!!!
Anand I’m not sure if what I will say will help you but try looking for arts on the web that looks more like the image in your mind (or the art style you want) and trace it y e s just keep tracing arts that looks like the style you want. I’m not sure if this will help you but it did help me a lot ^^
I’ve been wondering about how to improve my art recently and this was a great video to watch because I realized how far I have come since I first really got into art. I used to draw circles for hands (like animal crossing characters lol) and now I draw actual fingers and am trying to improve the hands I draw. I’ve also been struggling with action/fluid poses and realized that I just need to keep practicing since it’s not gonna be a talent I gain overnight.
I used to draw in a very shojo manga style but then was unhappy with the art. I learned about Drawingwiffwaffles and saw how she drew. Then i combined what i learned on this channel with a little of her style and came up with my own style. I just wanna say thank you so much for all the tips and tutorials that helped me draw better!!
"True practice takes place when knowledge and action is applied. The usefulness of equipment is shown through skill. And skill is taken from practice." Eh, just a quote from me, i just dont know what to type, and i also dont know if my quote makes sense...
This video really helped me. I’ve been having art block and having trouble drawing my comic. I didn’t have motivation and my head only had negativity. I didn’t really think my work went anywhere. But you helped me understand that you need to enjoy what you’re doing, practice your art and be patient with myself. I’m really glad that I watched this video. Thank you so much! :D
Me, myself and i want to improve my art/drawing skills and that's why im here! Thank u for uploading this video UwU For those who wants to improve there art don't you dare give up :'D
I started watching your videos a week ago and just after 3 days of watching your videos, I finally improved my art after one year of being stuck. I was grinning ear to ear while I was looking at my old art and comparing it to my current art. I improved so much and it's all because you, thank you so much! You're such a big inspiration to me.
Since quarantine I’ve been drawing everyday, and I have been discouraged lately Bc I knew my art wasn’t improving. I got in my head which caused me to lose inspiration for a couple of days, whenever I do lose inspiration I draw whatever comes to my head. Thx for the vid, if not for u I still would have been in my head overthinking. I’m a perfectionist 😅.
I went through a phase for a few months where drawing was very hard, everything was very stiff and I had completely lost my art style. After some determination and a DTIYS or two, I finally found a style I love drawing in that was far better then my previous fluctuating one. The next one I drew in this style even had a surprising jump in improvement. Sometimes we simply hit wall where everything unravels, and we can either tie the pieces together and climb, or stay stuck behind the wall. When I finally made it over my mountain, I found that the block I thought I was having was really just me pushing myself to a whole new level. Keep going 💛
I really need this Thank you sooo soo much I literally got 2 how to draw manga books and stuff the past week oof I really need to start to look at my old
I felt Like I wasn’t improving NOTHING.... but then you uploaded this video Thank you ver very much! It’s maybe Because I see my drawing to often so I feel Like There’s no difference, I’m still very thankful for your tips.
You are such a lifesaver. I always hear my classmates saying - you just have talent, that's why I'm not as good as you. Me - draws for 9 hours a day and still doesn't like some art I make - TALENT!?? suuuurrrrreeeeee
Omg..thank you for this video, I really need it, I was always thinking I'll never improve my drawings and never reach my dream...THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO❤️
Your tips are really helpful! I do agree on most of your points but I do have some things that I want to point out, I'm not trying to be offensive but I just want to share what I have learned at least: I think one main reason an artist doesn't see improvement in his or her art is probably because they are performing an unhealthy habit. Sure drawing a lot is one part towards improvement but I don't think that drawing everyday for 20 hours is the main key towards getting better, because sometimes we don't realize that we are doing an unhealthy habit and that the same mistake repeats itself over and over. So I do recommend understanding the fundamentals first and the basic and important standards of drawing then that's where the consisent drawing takes effect. I really did agree when you said that we don't see improvement if we just draw on our comfort zone, and overall you also helped me find out what I was lacking in this video! I just fixed some of my mistakes a month ago and now I'm taking another step towards improvement. Thank you for also helping me find out that hidden key! I'm truly grateful. 😊
Thanks Rebekah. This really helps. I used to be a slow artist during the early days of 2016. From 2019 to now, I can draw fast now, and have more time to draw something big on content. Btw, that Zelda music sounds great.
Wow, lol, I actually needed this video right now. I’m going through a severe state of art block because of demotivation and thinking my art is bad. So THANK YOU so much!! ❤️🥰
I used to not care but 5-6 weeks ago I subscribed this channel and started to try to improve my drawings and now this channel in only 5-6 weeks I improved a lot in my drawings.
When im started to drawing i was improvig so fast because i was so bad but now my improvement is a little bit slow and actually that makes me happy because you know now i feel like im so close to "my drawing style" anyway if you are like this to dont feel bad you are not improving so fast because you already good at what you are doing (sorry for my bad english)
I use to only know how to draw traditionally but now I am a digital artist I seen little improvements with my digital art, but now I can see that my art is improving but noticed that I am lacking some things that could hold my drawings back I learned that with my art I’m always impatient and wanted to finish my sketches but I realize that Patient is key and something that I need to work on. Hope this helps being patient with your art will help you improve and take the time on working on it.
It always surprises me when an artist has been drawing for just a few years and then their art looks so good, it makes me jealous and I lose motivation. I've been considering changing my style into a more semi-realistic but still on the anime side.
I loved the vid!! Now I think I am going to start asking people around me what I should draw then give that my full effort!!! Also I will start comparing my old art and new!! Thank you so much for helping me!😁
Hi I wanted to say this video helped a lot I can tell you how.... After watching the video I felt like drawing, I picked up my sketch tablet and looked around my room for what to draw. I picked a pink llama stuff animal to draw. I put music on my phone (because I can't draw in silence) and began to draw the llama. I instantly noticed all my mistakes and improvements, later I found myself with no sound of noise(I was so focused I blacked out all noise) and drawing for hours which is unusual for me.😊Thank you I can see all my improvements!💜
I have a very simple character that I draw every month or so. She has chin-length brown hair and blue eyes for maximum simplicity. Every time I draw her, I look at my previous drawings of the character. Sometimes I laugh because I remember how proud I was of old drawings and I now notice how bad it was! Going through old art is a lot of fun and it boosts your confidence when drawing.
I love retro wave style music and the art style that goes with it. I often listen to the Wuba Luba Lofi zelda chillwave mix when I do my art and other synthwave/chillwave music. I feel it helps to get me in the mood to draw, so I listen to it to help push me to draw a little each day if I can though I struggle with not always being in the mood to draw each day.
i have been drawing anime and manga faces from 4th grade and it is so fun to draw and colour eye i actually spent time drawing only 5 min to draw and 5 hours to colour when i looked through my old drawings it improved alot thanyou love2drawmanga i always support you and i cant wait see my neighbour next door
i was just drawing body perspectives and i was disapointed in me because it was not improving that much until this video came out. thank you for helping me
Thank you so much for this video! I honestly didn't know wether it was me using the same art style over and over again, or I didn't understand any of the tools there.
First I want to say WOW! The drawing you did in the video is so beautiful! Love it! Second, I love how in this video you go into depth of why some artists don’t feel like they’re improving. That’s been happening to me recently, but then I look back at my art from just a month ago-or even a year!-and realise how much I’ve gotten better with anatomy specifically (hands, I hate hands XD) shading, and facial expressions. All along, I thought I haven’t improved at all!! This video is really helpful so I now know what to look for and what to ask myself next time I’m doubtful. All in all, amazing video as always!!! :D
I draw now for 4 years and I do improve but very slowly. Right now I study shading with colors. I really need to work on poses, lineart, cat legs and a bit on proportions. I also want to start watching all of your tutorials.
Your videos are always so helpful! When I'm bored or feel a little down I usually go on your channel to watch some videos that never fail to entertain me! I love you so much! Keep up the good work!
I'm so Ready to read the new comic!!😆 And also as you mentioned in the video, I AM improving I'm my drawing skills. At first, I was only able to draw half of the body but now I can draw full body Thanks to you and your helpful videos. I'm so Happy!😄
I was getting better, then I started getting worse, then better again, now stuck! Yay! 😁 I just really hate it when my none-artist friends don't understand art block, and they're like, ”Why aren't you drawing!?”
"Why you art isnt improving" Wow thanks never knew that at 10 i learned how to draw a realistic eye. And always being stalked by my friends and their freinds more and more every time i improve, hearing stuff like "How do you do that?" Or "Wow!" And other usual annoying and depressing words artists usually get isn't improving- oh FLIIIIIIIIIIIIIPP I have insecurities i haven't even heard of before! ,Ó_Ò,
I really wished my art improved until now. This video cured that. Thanks Rebekah! Edit: OML I GOT A HEART FOR THE FIRST TIME :OOO EDIT 2: aw man it takes the heart thing away
I just drew a drawing and I was like eww this sucks, why cant i improve? Until i watched this video! Im trying to work up to draw like u! Thank you for all the support to us.
